American Idol

Do any of you vote? My DH thinks I'm nuts. LOL I love Chris - thought he sounded great. I didn't care for the song that Ace sang (although he is some good eye-candy). I like Bucky too but don't think he's gonna make it to "Idol". I don't think that the songs that the guys sang last night were the best chosen songs.

The other week when I wanted to vote I pressed the wrong button and voted for Kevin. My DH was telling me last night that he is probably still on b/c of one vote - my accidental one. I do think he has a nice voice but would think he would do better on a Broadway Show rather then being the next American Idol.

Tonight is the voting off, correct?
 
I tried to vote for Chris last night, but it was busy then I ended up falling asleep. I thought he was the best last night. I don't really care for that song too much though. I thought Ace did well, but there is something about a high pitched voice like his coming out of a man that seems odd to me. I guess I prefer more of a manly voice (like Chris).

I just think Ace just has a different style then Chris. I think Ace could seduce a King Cobra into a coma! LOL!

Chris all the way...yeahhh. I can't believe people think that song is boring? I thought it was really great. We need a great rocker IDOL to win. Taylor was pretty freaking funny to watch. I don't think I have that much energy on a good day. I think he is a hoot and has fun. his voice is pretty decent, too. I think the audience wants someone they can LOOK and LISTEN to and be really drawn in. I think Will and Kev definitely need to go bye bye. Maybe Kev can do musicals or something. That is more his style.

Of the guys I liked Gideon, Chris, Elliot, and Taylor. I think Will & Kev will go tonight. I didn't like Ace's performance and feel like he is relying too much on how he looks. For me, I think a good voice is important plus the entertainment factor more than how the person looks.

I sometimes wonder what's in Paula's "Coca cola" glass! She is often undeservedly positive and loves everything. I think Simon gives a much more realistic view of things (though he could do it a in a nicer way....though when you come to think of it, whoever wins the contest is going to face some harsh criticism at times and needs to be able to take it). It's good to have someone on the judges' panel who is supportive of the singers, but I don't think it helps them if she praises a performance that doesn't merit it. There are ways of being supportive while also giving constructive criticism, which is what the contestants need.

I think Will and Kevin need to go. They both sounded like they were giving a Jr. High performance. And, maybe it was my headache last night, but Kevin's lisp and Will's too-sibilant S's were getting on my nerves (and I noticed Elliot's problems with S's as well). Will and Kevin are just not in the same league as the other singers, IMO.

Taylor Hicks also annoyed me with his Joe Cocker moves, which are definitely put-on. He goes from walking/moving normally to doing the Joe Cocker thing. At least he only had one "Whoo" last night. Last week, he peppered his song with them, and it was very annoying!

I swear she put contour make-up in her cleavage to make it stand out more! (At least she was wearing a nice hair style last night. Last week, or was it two weeks ago?, she had some of her hair pinned back and a poof over her head that made her look strangely harsh, almost masculin, in the face. )

Yes, tonight is the elimination night. Four will be gone, and we'll be down to the final 12!
 
:D I agree with Chris winning hands down! In the beginning I liked Kelly, but she has been acting ditzy lately. I think Ace is cute but really is not that good of a singer. You might think I am crazy but I actually like Kevin's voice better than Ace's, but of course everyone will vote for Ace because he looks better than Kevin. Sometimes I think the whole show is rigged and the judges comments persuade people who to vote for. I think the judges know right now who they want at the top and I believe it is Chris and Kelly. Did you hear Simon make the comment the other night that he likes Kelly better than he did Carrie Underwood? I could not believe it!
 
I have a huge crush on Chris! I also like Ace, Taylor, and Elliott. I agree with most here that Kevin and Will need to go. I think they are on a whole different (lower) level than the others.

Kelly annoys me. I think her performance the other night was awful. She shouldn't be making it so far because she's "cute". It's a singing competition, for God's sake! x( Sorry, I was getting riled up there. :eek: :) I think Mandisa is wonderful. It would be so cool to see her and Chris in the end but I don't think I could pick between the two. :eek: :eek:
