Good Morning!

I hope this thread isn't started already. With all the confusion we had 4 threads started yesterday with my other checkin! LOL Today I just clicked on "new post" so hopefully Im right and this hasn't already been started.Something else I have to get use to is checking the number of pages on each thread. Yesterday I thought Wendy was the last one who posted and then I realized there was a 2nd page. Ugh! Ill get the hang of it sometimes I suppose.

I have some nice DOMS going on from yesterdays workout. Im planning a run for today.Its nice suppose to rain but it looks pretty gloomy out there.

We are thinking about going into the city this weekend to pick up my sisters dog. I was talking to my brother yesterday who lives there and he wants me to run the 10 mile race that is taking place this weekend. The plan a long time ago was that he was suppose to do it with me, when I found out that he wasn't running , I kind of forgot about it. It would be my first race and I wouldn't want to do it alone. I don't need anyone to run next to me or anything,its just nice to know that there is someone else around that I know.

Anyway...I soon need to make up my mind b/c think registration ends tomorrow.

Lori: You are not alone. I keep forgetting about the mulitple pages as well. :confused: I think you should run that race for certain! You are FAST! You need to get out there and show off, girl!;)

Jacque: Were you making fun of me for being so chatty y'day? :p Sorry about today's lay offs. I'm sure that is going to be REALLY hard to do. :(

Jen: So you are going to try the BM2 circuit blasts for HIIT soon? Kewl! I liked it! Hopefully you will too.

OMG, I am soooo sore! My upper body is officially FRIED. I think I am going to swap out 4 DS bi/tri and legs and do legs today and bi/tri tmrw to give my u/b a much needed rest. So today will be legs and kickbox. Fun but painful too! LOL

Gotta work this morning and then as soon as DH gets home at 4pm we have to jet to the bowling alley to prebowl for our league since we will be away this Monday. I hope we do well.

Gotta refill the coffee cup now. BBL!
 
Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Star Trainers Strength. The Rob Glick segment and Violet Zaki segment. I also did Rob's 10 minute ab segment. The first workout was all standing and was mostly compound moves, so the HR stayed elevated. 2nd workout was again compound moves, but then went to the floor so didn't keep the HR as high. I used weights for the ab moves. Workout was 63" and I burned 408 calories.

I also did 30" seated and twisting yoga asanas with Lynne Watkins followed by Ravi & Ana's Quick Fix for Headaches 6"

I meant to mention this effective tip Mitch Gaylord (who's a really good instructor) gave the other day during that Melt it Off workout. While doing plank....if you put hands out to the front rather than just below your shoulders, it really makes the abs work harder......he calls it the "gold medal" advanced way to do them. My abs got sore from his ab work and that's quite a feat for me!! My abs take a lot to get sore. I'm enjoying the DOMS I've been getting since I've been off of my Alwyn rotation.

I'm off work today cuz I work on Saturday. Eating my steel cut oatmeal and blueberries and then I'm gonna get a Lushie Bath with my Psychodelic bubble bar.

Good morning, ladies!

How is everyone today?

This morning I did AB weights, workout A, and I have to say it was a crappy workout :mad: for several reasons. Woke up late, had an argument with the BF in the middle of it :rolleyes:, and had to shorten it by a set each exercise to compensate for the time lost on those other things. Oh well, life happens, I guess. Glad I got that run in last night.

Lora, thanks for the tip! I'm going to try that. It makes perfect sense, and I'm surprised we haven't heard it before!

Wendy, I think I will do BM2 circuit blast tomorrow. The only thing I worry about is that I don't know the choreography well. I've had all these workouts for a while and never learned them. It's nice that it's new to me, but frustrating if it reduces the intensity. Maybe I'll preview tonight.

Lori, DO THE RACE!!! You'll be so happy you did. They're really a lot of fun!

Happy Hump Day ladies !

Got in B&G in this AM (no abs as that was yesterday). In fact, I did do my abs last night after work in addition did a 3 mile run with a .5 mile cool down.

Needed the distraction. Keep good thoughts as I go into two major terms for our small company. One completely set up and ran our entire manufacturing site for 15 years. Just not getting the job done well enough with the tight economy. Will be a toughie.

So I got very tired leggies this AM from the workout. Can't believe how sore and tired I am from doing Fitness Freak's Get Ready for Summer 08 rotation. Seems to be a daily thing that I didn't get from NROLW. Lost a pound or two this past week also - woo hoo ! Am leaning up a bit so this is me these days :D:D:D

Lori - Comon and do the race Lori - I did my first 10K a couple weeks ago at the age of 50 ! And you run 9 miles or more all the time anyway.

Wendy - kinda, but I do love your "conversations" because you have great ideas, good motivation, are so energetic, shall I go on? In fact, you are one of the reasons I did my first 10K. So there ! he he he. Good luck with your prebowl tonight.

Lora - way to go keeping your HR up today. Good tip on the planks - will give that one a go next time. Enjoy your day off with your "fun" bath !

Jen - sorry about your AM - hope the day gets better for you. Not thinking work will make it better, but at least busy, huh?

May be BBL depending on what transpires at work and home.

You guys are so funny! Now i feel presured to race! LOL

I did a long run today just to see how my knees felt through it all . I did 16K which is 9.4 miles. The only thing i am wondering is if I should take DS? I am so use to running with a stroller, that when I don't, I almost feel naked. But if I do take him,he could get fussy and full up my time? And if I don't take him, I will probably be faster then I would be if I were pushing 30 + lbs faster...descisions...descisions!

Jen** Noth'in worse then an arguement in the middle of your workout! DD came into my workout room last night asking me when I was going to be finished and she said that I snapped at her. She acted as if she was just "wondering" when meanwhile she wanted to have her friends in to watch a movie on the big screen t.v and I already told her when i would be done! Ugh!

Jacque** Who was laying off people today? Was that you or Jen? Either way...sorry that either one of you had to do that. That must be tough.
Good job with B&G! I really like that one!
