Good Morning:)

Is there really more? LOL I don't even know what everyone is following! LOL
I was planning on a long run outside today but its raining, unless it clears up, I will be doing something inside. Im also hoping to get a leg workout in. I have some major DOMS from yesterdays P90X workout! My back is soooooo sore!:) Gotta love it!

Jacque** Good job on getting that workout done! I bet you feel better. We have a family friend living with us and she asked the other day if I enjoyed running. I told her that I did but in the meantime on the days when I don't feel like going, I don't think about it. I just tie up my laces and by the time I am 10 mins into my run, everything is o.k.:)

Wendy** Im still throwing Cathe workouts into the mix as well. I was just thinking last night when will I fit a Cathe workout in this week b/c Im hitting the highway at 9 on Sat morning. I may do a circuit workout on sat instead of a straight run like I had planned. Its good when we see results though, isn't it?

I think that catches me up with personnals! I will be back after my nap!

Lori:)

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did WSFL Strength was heavy chest press on an incline supersetted with one arm rows. Ten minute metabolic circuits were pushup/prone jacknife and lunge/row combo followed by pullups. HIIT inteverals were 120/120 for 3 rounds with w/u & c/d ...the tough ones. I added my own stretch. Tunes were Shine Down & Nickelback. Workout was 62" and I burned 500 calories.

Have great workouts everyone.

Well, I'm officially disgusted with myself. I didn't lose a freakin' pound and I have a belly and my butt and legs are looking large. I had to change out of my pastel pink tee shirt cuz my belly was showing too much. Had to put a dark navy one on!! This is NOT good. I need to lose weight. I'm starting a food journal today. I've got to do something about this!! The only thing I ate "extra" yesterday were 4 little tootsie rolls. I shouldn't have! My coworkers indulged in Wendy's and had Frosty's and shakes, etc.

Hello Ladies.

So I have DOMS from my work out y'day. I always get upper thigh DOMS from the kettlebells and my upper body is even feeling it a bit as well. Gotta love it! I really need to invest in another kettlebell so that I can do my new work out with 2 bells instead of just one! They are so darned expensive though! x(

Well, as of this afternoon I will officially be a "single woman" until Sunday afternoon. WOOH! }( LOL

I don't know if I mentioned it here but DH leaves straight from work today to head up to NY for a bowling tourny with his buddies and later I will be taking DS to hang out with my MIL/SIL for the weekend so I will be ALONE!:7 I'm so excited! I am planning on hanging with BF tonight, having some me time tmrw morning and then heading to the race track with mom for the afternoon. Tmrw night is unknown at this point but even if all I do is head out shopping alone for a couple of hours I'll be happy. ;) Sunday morning I'll have a bit more me time before heading towards my MIL's. I plan to go up early to go summer clothes shopping with one of my SIL's and then the family will have dinner together before I take DS home in the evening. It'll be a busy but fun weekend for me!:)

So today's work out will be a Cardio Coach. I don't know if I feel like downloading my new CC's this morning so I may just do CC#6 since I haven't tried it yet and it's already on my Ipod. I have to say that my only complaint with CC is that it's not a simple process to download. Atleast not when compared with the ITrains. I am not computer savvy, nor patient, so I like things to be as simple and quick as possible. :p

Lora: Sorry you haven't lost any weight. ITA with starting a food log. That always helps me get on the right track. Perhaps you should take it one step further and track your cals and macros as well. That's what TRULY helps me to see where I need eat better. So do I recall you saying that you will be doing WSFL again once you have completed this round of it? I am seriously considering purchasing it. The eating is beyond me but I want to do the work outs! It's only a month so it's something I can handle w/o getting too bored and wanting a change!:p

Lori: Sorry it's raining on your run. Maybe the weather will surprise you and you'll be able to get out there afterall! I haven't touched Cathe's stuff aside from IMAX2 and her stretches at the end of her work outs in quite some time. It's been AGES since I've done an all Cathe rotation. I really need to get back to it one of these days. It would probably "shock" my body something good after such a long break. }(

Judy: Glad you enjoyed CC vol 3. That makes me happy since I just bought it. LOL I survived y'day's work out with HIIT right after weights but it might help that I only did a 30 min kb work out instead of AB weights!:p LOL

Jacque: So did you sign up for that race yet? }(

I know Jen won't be checkin' in this weekend. I hope she's having herself a FAB time at the beach!!!!! :7

Alrighty, time to refill the coffee cup!:9
BBL!

Lora- First of all here is a hug ((((HUG))). Ok. look at the good side here. You only ate 4 little tootsie rolls. Today is another day. Drink your water, and remember that you resisted most of the junk yesterday and you will today too. Maybe just try to change one part of your food intake at a time. The changes will come slowly, but just keep portion control and healthy choices in mind.

Jacque- Stage 4 is a repeat of stage 2 INTENSIFIED. It is only 8 total workouts, but I had DOMS right off the bat at the heavier weights. and increased number of push ups 3 sets: 20,20,18). I wish I could tell you the golf course was peaceful:

***We had an incident both Tuesday and Thursday on our golf course. We live in a private golf course community, but the roads in the area are public. There is a road between two holes with an open area an a few houses on it. ( The course runs on both sides of this windy road) OK, so we approach a green to finish a hole, and there is a landscape type truck just parked, motor off, near by on the road. The men in the truck are leaning out the window and commenting on our shots. They are haggling us! I called the pro shop to complain. Yesterday they showed up again. So I call the pro shop and ask to have some assistance. Our Greens keeper approached them, and told them that they could not be haggling the golfers and to leave. The claimed to be eating their lunch. But they were there over 3 hours on Tuesday, and again on Thursday. Sorry to rant but it was very creepy!

Wendy- your constant changing of workouts seems to work out well. I wouldn't worry about it. And with 4 days of HIIT, anything will workout well!!! Enjoy your new CC. Which one will you do next?

Today is NROL4W 4B including HIIT. I will try to be good and follow directions and do HIIT at the end as Alwyn prescribes. Tonight is a couples 9 hole golf event. It is more social that anything else. Then DD arrives at midnight for the weekend! We will watch DS play lacrosse tomorrow, then hang by the pool and have a family dinner. I think we will take the family out on Saturday evening, and BBQ at home on Sunday.

Judy: I don't blame you for being creeped out by the landscapers. I would be too. I hope they stay away from now on. Enjoy your weekend. Sounds like a nice one with family. :) I will see how my new work out plan goes. Perhaps HIIT and keeping my eating on track is the key which will allow me to put variety into my weight work outs when I want to. I still plan to get back to AB and am even considering WSFL but it will be nice to know that I can enjoy other work outs as well while continuing to see some progress. :)

Hey Girls!

My morning isn't starting out quit like I would like it to. Just one thing after another...making me madder and madder}( }( }( In between it all, in order to pick up DS I had to get the car seat out of the sitters car and she is gone to school with her son...with the car...and the carseat. Not sure if DS is with her b/c he may have stayed home with her mom. I don't want to go there b/c I can't leave again without taking him or he will have a melt down. So I came back home to tidy up a bit, drink my coffee and catch up on personnals!:)

Lora** Sorry you are having a hard time losing weight.Im not looking forward to that stage in my life. Right now, I can still give it my all and the weight still comes off but I know that as time goes by, things won't move that fast. I think food journaling is a great idea! Write down every little thing that goes in your mouth! I bet you will see results if you stick to it though.

Wendy** I think someone is excited about their weekend!!!! Woo Hoo! Actually, I am kinda looking forward to tomorrows little get away. A bit of ME time won't go a stray! I think its long over due. DH always complains b/c I don't go anywhere and now that I am, I don't want to go b/c I don't think he wants me to go. In the meantime, I know he doesn't care.So...I have come to peace with the fact that I have a day to myself:) Some shopping will be in order here as well!

Judy** Thats awful about the golf course! Is that even allowed? Hopefully it won't happen again!

I still haven't decided on what cardio I will do today. Its not very warm outside at ALL and its misty rain. Kind of tempting to try a run but it could pour at anytime.
I will be back later to report my workout!
Lori:)

Poppin' in to report my workout in case it takes me a while to get back to catch up with the rest of you.

Stage 2B3 for me today - the longer workout with HIIT following the weights. Upped most of them again today. Felt strong which was funny after yesterday's blahs? But I'll definitely take it!:7

HIIT was CC#2 challenges 1 & 2. Mostly at 5.5 mph as it was 1" hill/1" recovery. Did hills at 6%. Last challenge was 3" uphill - did 5.5 @ 4% since 3" gets my heart rate way up there. The last 3" was flat at 6.5 mph. Making a little progress and feels great after the run. Now, we'll see how the stairs at work feel.:p

Hi Everyone!

I have a quick minute to post this week's workouts. I did AOS Newport (killer workout - absolutely love it) Sharon Twombly's Athletic Step Jam ( I really like this one. Anyone else have it?), CC #2, taught Core Cardio and Boot Camp. Today was P90X+ Total Body Plus. I have to teach TK this afternoon.

It looks like everyone is doing well with their workouts. i'm taking a break from TT. I plan on going back to it in a couple weeks.

Sorry no time for personals again. Hopefully I'll have a few minutes when I'm at work.

Oh, does anyone plan on doing the CCPP tomorrow? I am!

Let's make today GREAT! :D

A friend in fitness,
Shirl

Hi Girlies!

I'm back from a FABULOUS run with Coach Sean! I did CC#6 this morning. I am finally really getting over my TM troubles! By the end of challenge # 3 I was running a 3% hill at 7.0! YAY YAY YAY!}( :7 }( I have no idea what my mileage was as I TM hopped 3x before I found one that I liked (Don't ask, LOL) and then I accidentally re-set the TM I finally settled on so my mileage is a mystery. It's okay though. I'm too stoked about my run to care! I am finally looking forward to my runs again!WOO HOO! :7

I have to feed DS lunch, get him bathed and down for a nap now. I'll BBL though!

Hello, anybody home?? :p

Where's Miss Sunny been? She started this dang check-in and is seen here the least of everyone! LOL

Sunny: Come out come out where ever you are!!!!!:7

I am finally able to get back here. You all are on a different time schedule than I am - it is only lunch time here. Work has been a bugger lately.

Lori - Hope your day gets better, but meanwhile, just keep good thoughts about your time away this weekend and, darn it, stop worrying about it. I don't have time to come up to Canada to smack ya' a good one !}( Enjoy your ME time - everyone will be just fine ! Not that they won't miss you, but they can learn to be more independent and do some bonding of their own. Hope you get in a good cardio today.

Lora - I'll jump right in with Judy and send <<<HUGS>>>. Just know that it is such a hard thing as we age and our bodies don't work the same way any longer. Just hit 50 this year and the past couple years I ran into that lovely metabolism change and the same old 5 lbs that I could drop in less than a week hasn't left in 2 years. If I am very very strict then I could lose it, but then I feel like I am missing out on life. I have switched up my workouts since the beginning of the year and with NROLW and running am finally seeing results. BUT, not losing any weight, just adding muscle and reshaping AND best of all, the "cottage cheese" is slowly melting. I do believe I have the same trouble not treating myself here and there as you do and think if I keep up a similar routine I will slowly get myself into better shape. It may be at a higher weight than in the past, but I know it is healthy ! I tell you what I enjoyed was my two week break between stages where I did a "Bootcamp" type of rotation with some Cathe circuit work instead of the standard heavy lifting. There was a bit more cardio and I think the break helped when I got back to NROLW last week. OK - enough from me but know that I truly understand.;)

Wendy - gotta love those DOMS ! I think my next venture into exercisedome will be kettlebells 'cuz y'all keep making them sound soooo goooood ! That will be quite a while though 'cuz I ordered STS and will probably be just about done with NROLW by the time that one hits the mailbox. So you had better have a grand ol' time just like Lori this weekend.. Sounds like loads of fun. I had such a hard time on my run yesterday I haven't signed up yet. The last mile did feel good - my plan is to try the 10K route this weekend(it is the one I actually run when I go for a longer run) and if that goes OK I'll go for it since I really don't have time to train - the race is in 2 weeks. I am about 95% sure I'll go for it. I need goals . . .

Judy - oh my - INTENSIFIED, huh? I think I am better off not looking ahead.}( I do like not having four rounds of each workout - that was too long for me. These shorter ones keep my attention better. I did get up early this AM since the "B" workout is longer so my motivation is still good. So so sorry that your golf course was invaded by buttheads ! Did the truck have the name of a company on it? Heck if it was me, I'd try to call their boss if they are hanging out that long. Hope they have had their fun or have a different assignment soon. Have a wonderfully great time this weekend - definitely nothing like having the family together - it gets so hard when they get older. Enjoy !

Shirl - hey there lady ! Thanks for popping in when you could and hope you get back soon. You had quite a variety of workouts this week. What type of a workout is AOS Newport? I don't have CCPP (yet), but think I'll cave as soon as I pay some of my bills off. Does that one work very well outside on the trails? Have fun with it tomorrow.

Wendy (again:7 ) - happy to hear your runs are picking back up quickly. As much as Cathe DVD's and weight work can be invigorating, there is nothing like a good hard run (or in my case "fast jog"). But the endorphins are still there even at my pace.}(

So guess Sunny, Tammy and Christine have been busy elsewhere lately. I know I'd love to check in at the Cheetah den too, but am limited on time and that one has so many of you to keep up with ! LOL ! May have to get a bit more organized and maybe someday . . .

*** checks out wondering how she can find another hour in each day without losing too much sleep *** :p

Thanks for all of the eating tips and hugs. What website can you track your nutritional info on? I'm ignorant to that high tech stuff.

Today the coworkers ate burgers and fries .....burgers don't appeal to me since I'm a vegetarian, but I love fries and never allow myself to eat fried foods ...so that was tough...smelling them. They also ate M&M's and other junk around me. My extra food was a fruit bowl. I was dying for some chocolate after lunch but I ate one of my Dark Chocolate dipped cinnamon Altoids after lunch and it helped the craving. Now I just need to try to get thru the weekend without too many treats. I usually like to have a small amount of chocolate or a low fat ice cream over the weekend as a "treat".

Lora - I signed up at fitday.com a couple years ago. If you don't eat a lot of meals with lots of different foods in them (like a stir fry with 6 veggies and a couple proteins) then it is pretty quick to track calories and macros.

What I like about it is you can add your own "custom foods" to their standard list. I use this function the most. I just carry my little bottle of light dsg. right to the computer and enter the brand and flavor so I track the exact cals and macros based upon the label. You could, for instance, input your favorite salad (if you have basically the same thing often) and enter all the ingridients and call it "chicken lunch salad" and then only have to click on it once to log it instead of choosing each ingredient separately. Kinda neat 'cuz I just have all my standard favorite foods in the Custom area so it only takes me a couple minutes to log.

You can actually just check off all foods you ate to log them and then go back and change the amounts if they are actually different than the original logged amount. Example is every morning I have ground flax seed with breakfast but the standard serving pops up "1 cup". I just check it to get it on my list and then after I have logged my morning eats, AM snack and lunch (they are all prepped in the AM before work) then I go back and change "1 cup" to "1 TB" and so on down the line of foods that I have logged.

Many people thinks fitday is time consuming and there are those that use sparkpeople. I remember signing up for that one too, but have really never used it.

OH YEA, another nice feature about fitday is you can also track your exercising and/or make notes on a daily basis too. Such as the info you are currently posting on the check in thread - your HR max and your cals burned, etc.

If you have any questions about fitday, let me know. I only use it off and on when I need to get strict because my "fat pants" are too tight !}( Or sometimes when I want to try to change up my macros and don't feel like doing it in my head. I actually used it for a few weeks when I began NROLW because I wanted to up my proteins and cut down on fats and carbs.

Sorry about the book but wanted you to know why I like fitday and how I have used it - I don't like spending alot of time tracking my food and being strict, as I mentioned above, is not the way of life I want to lead. But it is so helpful when you need to check yourself here and there.
