Alwyn, X'ers, et al...Monday 9/15

Hola chiquitas!

Where are our early birds this morning?

Just want to quickly get us started while I peek up from my desk for a minute, and will have to check back in later for personals.

That being said, I did most of LIC this morning. I fizzled out toward the end though for a couple of reasons: 1)my dvd player seems to be dying, don't know what that's about, and 2) DD had me up at 2:20 a.m. this morning and neither of us went to sleep again after that. I feel like crap today.

Wendy, Jacque, I have the original X...and I'm thinking maybe that would be a good rotation for me. If you guys are doing it at the end of the month, count me in!

Just got a call from the school nurse :rolleyes: Gotta go deal with that. BBS~

Hey Girls.

I've decided that I would like to do one more week of CTX to make a full month's rotation out of it. After that, the X is fine with me. So I'm game to start next Sunday or Monday the 21st or 22nd. :)

Still not sure how I'll work it but I have a week to figure it out.

Jacque: As far as the push up challenge goes I think we should hold off on it. I don't see needing to do EXTRA push ups while doing the X. Do you!?!? :eek:

Jen: Glad to hear you are game for the X. The more the merrier I always say! :D Sorry about your dyin' DVD player. Is it old??

Today was a rest day for me. I managed to shovel way too many cookies in my face after work today. I was having a moment I guess. Well that set me off and put me in a bad mood but fortunately something positive came out of it....I started cleaning like a mad woman...something I am ashamed to admit I haven't been doing a very good job of lately. :confused: The house is looking much better and my mood is improving at the same time. Oh happy day! LOL

So holy moly can I just tell you about the DOMS in my lower body!? Holy crap girls! I imagine it has to be from Road Warrior in conjunction with Sunday's almost 6 mile run cause I have been limping around all day long! Gotta love it!:D

Tomorrow I will do a short run, upper body and abs and then I am shooting for my LOOONG run on Wednesday morning of 15 miles. OUCH! :eek:

Guess that's all for now...Can't wait to get X'ing with everyone. This is gonna be painful but fun! ;)

it's me the poster formerly known as sunny, lol. had to change my user name when i tried to get on. it's all good as i was over sunnydelite anyway.

this forum has gotten so small. glad to see it's still going!

how cool i came on today and see you all are starting the X. dh and myself are starting on 9/29 or 10/6!! so i guess i will start posting again here as i have a little more computer time while at my desk. what date are you all starting?

i hope all has been well with everyone.

You finally came back to us, girl! YAY! I'm so excited!:D You don't mind if I still call ya Sunny, do you?? I can't help it, I'm just so used to it. :) I know I owe you an email. I haven't forgotten. I am just slow at times. :p I am hoping to start the X on 9/21 or 9/22. Not sure if I'll be doing the orignal, plus or a hybrid of both but I do know that I will be modifying it no matter what as the only cardio I really have time for right now is running. I also can't spend as much time on weight lifting as I used to right now or I won't be able to get all of my runs in. I'll do what I can though. :)
 
So I just sat down with the X and X+ work out and rotations and if I do this it's not even gonna come close to lookin' like any of the rotations Tony created. I just won't have the time to do it with all of the running plus my new schedule now that DS is in school. How my life got more hectic NOT having him with me 24/7 is beyond me but it did!:eek:

So now I'm tryin' to decide if it's worth it to pick out a couple of X/X+ work outs to do for my weight lifting just to be able to X it with you ladies or if I should do something else and save these for when I can do an actual rotation.

The only work outs that would really work for me right now are Total Body +, Core Synergistics, Upper + and Legs and Back since these can be grouped so that the entire body is hit once or twice in 2 work outs each week. I'm also tempted to throw Tony's One on One Road Warrior and Plyo Legs in there as well for a change of pace. Although it's not the X, it's still Tony. ;)

Any thoughts? Can ya help a girl out? :)

Welcome back Sunny ! As I remember, you and Judy were the first two who started this checkin ! :p That would be great to have a few others added to the checkin for extra motivation ! Hmmmm. . . wonder what JaFitMama is up to now?

I wouldn't mind switching up the X "plan" a bit because I want to run more right now also. I need to find my book so I can peruse it to see what it looks like since it has been a year and a half since I initially tried to start the program.

Wendy or Jen - do you have the 90X info that you could quickly post - or scan and email me?

Keep me posted ladies . . . and we need to work on Lori too ! :p Remember she was supposed to do a 90X rotation with her DH who never quite got started. Maybe you runners can come up with a good rotation that will work for you and Jen and I can improvise a bit?

Wendy - I found my book - in 90X there is a Lean Rotation that has more cardio in it: Core and Plyo in addition to a couple days of weights - it is adding in more cardio which might work if you just sub some of the cardio for your runs.

Check it out and let me know.

Otherwise I am game to put it off a month or so - I have a few rotations that will work for me now. Or you can join the rest of us "part-time" with the X. All in all, I think the workouts do a great job strengthening, defining and growing the muscles enough to use it for a partial rotation.

Everybody pitch in tomorrow and let's see where we end up.
