Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Barry's Bootcamp - Fat Blaster Upper Body Emphasis followed by Mission Abs, Mission Legs & Code Red workout. I used my heavier resistance band for most of the upper body.......could have used heavier on the lower body. I wore the Booty Band for the entire workout also. Should have probably done Mission upper instead of Code Red. Workout was 73" and I burned 588 calories.

My abs are still fatigued.........guess this workout does use weight for abs. We used bands, the large stability ball and I used a hand weight for some moves......guess I forgot that the other day when I said it was unweighted.

Have great workouts everyone.

Good Morning. :)

I have to work this morning so I'll be doing cardio this afternoon. HIIT plus some steady state I think. I should probably do step since I am going on the RT is 1.5 weeks and I haven't done a FULL step work out in AGES!

Good work out this morning Lora.

Hope everyone else is good this morning.

I'll be back later.

Hey Gals!

Sorry I haven't been around the past couple of days. Am I still allowed to check in even though Im not following a program??? LOL

Today was my first long run since my race, my legs are finally feeling normal again.
DS isn't feeling well though. He as foot, mouth and hand disease! ugh! He caught it from my neice this past weekend when we didn't even know she was brewing anything. He is pretty miserable, which, is gonna make for some VERY long days this week!

BBL!
Lori

Hey there y'all !

Got my Legs & Glutes in this AM - abs will be later + hopefully a short run. Got to clean house for company this weekend.

Lora - what is a Booty Band? You've been doing well with the sore abs lately, huh? Are you enjoying your workouts a bit more these days?

Wendy - am sooo jealous, I would love to do a RT. Possibly I can plan for next year - this summer has been quite busy. Enjoy your HIIT & SS this afternoon.

Lori - course you can come play with us. Not many following our "signature" checkin workouts these days anyway. I have 1 week after this and I just may see if Target has any KB's hanging around and try that for a while. Glad your leggies are getting back to normal. Sorry about DS and his poor little extremities. My kids never had that but I heard it is very irritating - it's a rashy type of bacteria isn't it? Is there anything you can put on it to ease the pain?

BBL to see how things are going. Finally feel a little relief from my piles today! Woo Hoo. :D

Yikes! I'm late

Hello all!

Jacque, is work a little less demanding today? Great workout. Nothing like having a little company to motivate you to give the house a good cleaning, huh? Well, actually, maybe you're one of those super neat people (like my mom and best friend whose floors you could eat off of) who keeps the house always looking great, but I'm so short on time these days that it's basic maintenance for the most part, until I've planned a party or something and then whoa, look out! Major cleaning takes place. And I always tell myself that I should entertain more often :p

Lori, sorry to hear about your little guy! That's one of those things that just has to run its course, right? Ugh, I hate that. Hope he feels better soon.

Wendy, how fun to be going on the road trip! I say yup, it's time to get your step legs back. But I know you'll have no problems with that.

Lora, Barry is working you good! Great job. I bow down to your calorie burn. That's awesome.

So this morning was HIIT for me, and I opted against steady state for no good reason other than I didn't sleep well at all last night and I was tired and lazy. I didn't get out to the garage until almost six this morning, and by that time I've shorted myself some serious workout time. I'll admit that I actually considered blowing it off completely though, so thumbs up for me for doing something  Yeah...

Taking off to New York City this weekend! I loved it so much when I went a couple months ago that I vowed I'd get my kids there to see it ASAP, and it turns out this weekend is the weekend to do it. My sister and I and our four kids are driving in on Friday and coming home Saturday night. I'm so excited to be going and have spent a large chunk of my day drafting my itinerary. Nice, huh? Not like I'm supposed to be working or anything...

On that note, off to be somewhat productive before the clock strikes five!! BBS~

Hey Girls. Off to do my work out shortly. Running out of time FAST! I just signed up for the 3 month nutrition program plan. I am going to continue to use Fit Day though until I have a better understanding of how it works and have alot of foods in there for ease of use.

Jen: Let me know where you are staying, how expensive it was and if you liked it! DH and I want to plan a weekend in NYC but we are worried about the cost of the hotel! Any help would be appreciated if you wouldn't mind! :)

BBL for more personals!

My work out is done. No time for steady state but that's okay. I did the Drill Max cardios with 1:30 min recoveries in between. It took about 45 minutes from warm up to stretch. I'm happy.

Time to hit the showers and then the foodstore!

Be back a bit later!:)

Wendy, will do! This time is a new experience for us actually. I booked this trip last minute, and hotels were not only very limited because of the number of people I'm traveling with, but they were sosososoooo expensive (at least by my standards.) I couldn't justify spending well over $400 for one night. So what I found was an Embassy Suites Hotel in Secaucas for $220 a night. The reviews were very good and it says it's only about 4 miles from the city and that the bus stops right in front of the hotel and drops you off in Manhattan. The bus trip should only take about 20 minutes, but I was cautioned by a co-worker this afternoon that that'll be the case if the traffic is good, so now I'm a little worried. For the most part I'm just thinking "Whatever...we'll make the best of it." I'm losing some convenience in the interest of economy, but that's typically the case. I'll let you know how that goes.

However, the last time I went, which was back in May, I rented a junior suite at the Affinia Manhattan and it was beautiful. I have no problem recommending that to you. It was meant to accomodate 2-4 people, but I had a fifth (me, my sister, and three teenage girls) who we had to sneak in (fire code only allows four in a room) and we had no problem being comfortable. In addition to two queen size beds there was also a sofa, and one of the girls slept on that with no complaints. Plus, it had a kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, and sink. Because I booked ahead and because it was May, I got that for $199. It was in a great location, too. So what I'm saying is that when you're planning your trip, consider the time of year. It seems like spring is the cheapest time with summer ranking second and Christmas season being the most expensive.

Okay, I've chatted long enough! Finally the end of the work day is here!

I'll BBL~

Jen - Nope, not like your Mom or BF. Yep, need company to get me doing the heavy cleaning. Of course I used to be better before I started working out to Cathe, then of course adding the forums eats up even more time. :D Oh well, a less than perfectly clean home is fine with me because I'm in shape, happy and energetic. I clean when my energy finds the time. Got no help from DH or DS so there ya go. And mind you, between the guys, the parrots and the dog, there's no way to eat off the floor anyway ! And thankfully work is a bit slower today. <<<---takes a long breath and actually decides to spend a little time on the Cathe forum.

NYC sounds like so much fun - have heard so many here from the West Coast that go back there to see theater shows. My kids grew up doing shows at least twice a year forever - got boxes of costumes for Halloween now - and I would love to just go back, see the sights and see a REAL Broadway show. You guys just keep on enabling me OK? Since I didn't make a RT, ya never know, LOL !

And Lori - where are you in Canada. Hockey will be starting up again and I would love to do a hockey weekend in Canada. I remember you said your Mom has a B&B? Is it near any NHL teams or possibly not too far away? :p

Until later . . .
