Alwyn, Kettlebellers, TT, etc for Friday 7-11

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did SWAT Strength workout 20" followed by Sarah Lurie's new Kettlebell Express 20" and finished off with Star Trainer Abs with Violet Zaki using ankle weights and DBs. Workout with c/d and stretch was 70" and I burned 579. Got my HR up to 158 doing KB swings!! Amazing that can happen with your feet firmly planted. Tunes were Theory of A Deadman - Scars and Souvenirs. Love that Bad Girlfriend song.

I started taking a new vitamin pack from GNC that has an Energy formula in it with Green tea and Guarana Root. Supposed to help burn fat.....but I feel like I'm speeding. Not sure I'll be able to take these. Anyone heard of them? Ultra Mega Active Pack for Women.

Jen: OMG, cosmos! I am a fan for sure! I recall going to Applebees with a couple of good friends some years ago. We ate dinner and then sat and drank. I was drinking cosmos. I had about 5 of them. I was feeling NO PAIN and I even think I was drooling a bit by the end. LOL I requested them with top shelf liquor and when the bill came I was so drunk that I tried to give my friend $30 to cover my part of the bill. Um...that barely covered my booze! LMAO! They were laughing at me, needless to say. :p

Lora: Good work out this morning. Can't help ya on the vitamins but anything that buzzes ya up is not for me either. I love coffee and drink it all day long but even *I* can o/d on the "buzz factor" and I feel like cr@p when I do so I alternate regular and decaf so that doesn't happen.

Today's work out will be f/b kb's this afternoon.

This morning I have to go food shopping and promised DS we'd do a few fun things. He is going to have to choose 2 things from the following list...the park, pool, sprinkler and a Barnes and Noble visit to play with their Thomas the train set up. I don't think he's going to be able to handle such a monumental decision!:p :7

Hello to all you fabulous ladies!

My workouts have been going well and I am leaning out. Can I just tell you how excited I am!!!!! I am supposed to do a total body workout today but my upper body needs another rest day. I'm going to do a premix from Amy Bento's Hi/lo Xtreme that incorporates the lower body. I'll do upper body tomorrow.

Wendy, Your cosmo story had me cracking up. :D It sounds like a fun day for your son. What kb workout?

Lora, I don't know anything about those vitamins either. I agree with what Wendy said.

I was going to do Iron Core Way volume 2 today but I just checked the shipping status on my new Keith Webber kb work out and it's due to be delivered today!!!! If it comes in time, you KNOW I am all over it! USUALLY my UPS shipments get here between 1:00-2:30 in the afternoon so I should be good to go! VERY EXCITED!}(

Okay, the munchkin is buggin' me to go out now so I must heed the call!:+

Good morning, girlies!

Lora, I really don't know anything about those vitamins. In order to get my green tea in, I brew up a couple quarts and drink it as iced tea all day and that's working out for me. I'm with the others who can't stand that speeding feeling.

Wendy, OMG you crack me up. All I can say is that it's probably a good thing you and I live several states apart, because I think we could get in some trouble together }( I had a night similar to yours (not all that long ago) when I had three cosmos that I RECALL (read into that what you will). And then, in my infinite wisdom, I decided at some point that it would be better if I switched to beer (yeah, rather than just stop, right?). Oh boy, what I mess I was! My sister had to get me home that night, and she was NOT happy with me. I think that's because it's not easy to transport humans in liquid form!! Needless to say, I learned my lesson...one and done. Hope DS makes wise choices ;-) I gotta admit I'm a little overwhelmed myself with that list!

Shirl, congrats on leaning out! That's awesome! Keep up the good work.

Hi Ladies - popping in quickly to say hi! I'm riding the Live Strong Challenge this weekend, so no bells or TT for me today. But I will be getting an easy ride in today.

Lora - I was actually wanting to respond to your post about the GNC Energy tabs - guarana root was banned several years by the FDA because it caused so many deaths. It's that stuff in Metabolife and other "diet" pills. It's back on the market because so many people complained, but I'd be careful with it.

This AM I did an easy 30 min walk (15" @ 4%, 5" @ 2% and 10" flat). Have my 10K race tomorrow so didn't want to over do it, just wanted a nice small sweat.

Christine - will be thinking of you - you'll be out riding longer than I will be running - have a nice ride.

Hi Girls!

Late checking in today. I woke before DS and decided to dig out the basement a little before he woke, then I did a couple of errands DH left for me, then we visted a friend.
It was suppose to rain today so I didn't think I was gonna get out for a run, now the sun is shining but there is a slight breeze. I don't like going for runs after lunch but with the wind it may not be to warm. If it is, I could always take a detour home.
DH left at 5:30 today, this is gonna be the loooongest f'in week of my life. I think that when DS really notices that he is gone, he may act up a little. Not looking forward to that, and who knows, maybe he won't. Im willing to bet money that he will! LOL

I will come back later and catch up on personnals. Gonna get this run over with!

Lora - just exactly how many workouts do you have lady? Seems like every day you have something new posted? Is the SWAT from that website that Wendy (I think it was Wendy) posted a while back? Those looked tough. And I see you are a KB'er too !:D As far as the vitamins, I have tried others and those types of ingredients don't work well with me as I get palpitations from too many OTC allergy meds, let alone adding the "natural" caffeine like herbs. Please listen to your body and/or read up on guarana.

ETA: Or was it our long lost sunnydelite that posted about the SWAT rotations? Wendy - did you ever find out if she is still around?

Wendy - LOL at your cosmo story too ! Amazing how expensive the good liquor is, huh? I'm happy to say hard liquor doesn't sit well with my taste buds at all so I'm a really, really cheap date. Coupla beers and I'm good !:p Hope you and DS had a good time. I soooo miss the days of little guys and just plain old playing with them. Can't wait for grandson to get just a bit bigger. He'll be a yr old in two weeks - I get to babysit the end of August ! }( I'm already trying to figure out ways to spoil him. }( :+ }(

Hopefully DS will be the best behaved he has ever been - <<< sending good behavior vibes >>>. Did you get to your run like you planned?

Ugh .......bummed about the vitamins. Don't think I can return them. I actually called GNC and asked the guy what I can take as a "Fat Burn" supplement that didn't have Green Tea in it (as I'm not allowed to drink tea due to stomach issues) and he suggested that stuff. I'm not sure what to do now. Actually, the feeling wore off and hopefully I can sleep tonight. I don't do ANY caffeine at all. I would assume they wouldn't sell them if they weren't safe???? but maybe I'm gullable.

Yes, I have TONS and TONS of workouts. I used to do a KB workout every Friday prior to starting WSFL!!! :). I LOVE Keith Weber's....my fave! It's fun and intense. Todays was good too though for Sarah Lurie...as I usually find her too easy.

No work done today! What a miserably boring day it was today. My boss has been out all week at a conference in San Diego, and so today, with it being Friday and all, was kind of one of those days where I had no motivation at all. Those are always the longest days, because it seems like all I get done is watching the clock tick until five o'clock. What's worse is that everyone else in the office felt the same way! It's almost like we all gave each other permission to do nothing today. Truth be told, I had kind of gone crazy a bit early in the week and CRANKED through a ton of stuff that I need to do. By Thursday, all the time sensitive stuff was done, and all I really needed to do was minutiae that keeps me organized. While that stuff is important too, it wasn't enough to keep me interested today.

So glad the day is over, and lovin' some Pinot Grigio tonight! Hope you're all having a great Friday evening.
