Raw, soaked almonds are actually better than roasted (roasting/heating denatures the oils, destroys enzymes, and makes nuts harder to digest). I take raw almonds, soak them overnight in the fridge (to activate enzymes that help with digestion of fat and protein and reduce the enzyme inhibitors present mostly in the skin of the nuts, then let them air dry (I've also dried them in a dehydrator, which makes them crunchier).
