All you runners out there...

Maybe it's just because I haven't done IMAX 3 too often but that workout takes the cake over running for me. I don't run all that fast though, ~7mph, or that often 4-6 x month. I think it has more to do with the jumping and fast footwork needed in IMAX 3, my muscles fatique so much faster than on a run.

Good point on IMax 3. IMax 3 is tough.

When I run, I turn my brain off, which is wonderful. That gets painful if you try and turn off your brain during a Cathe workout!!

I agree a good interval run on the treadmill will get you going! Marietta e-mailed me a Cathe treadmill advanced interval run. }( I've done interval runs before, but this one really sneaks up on you! Of course, if Cathe created it, it would!! ha ha I've done it several times. It takes a good hour to complete. If your interested PM me with your e-mail and I can send it to you.

Jane ~ I agree too with the "settling in" idea. I definitely have to give myself a good quarter mile to half mile to really get into my run.

I mostly do treadmill runs because of my little ones. I still can't go as long on outside running as the treadmill.

Dallas:)

BECAUSE of Cathe, running (the few times a month I do it), is easier for me aerobically than say, an IMAX, but it is much harder on my joints. My legs usually ache for 2 days after I run. I have been running on 2-year old running shoes, though, so that may be part of the problem. Just ordered new ones. Now that Fall is here, I plan to run more--best time to run IMO.
