Afterburn

I would like to know - I was unable to complete the Afterburn workout in its entirety....should I continue to start from the beginning and try to get farther each time- or just pick up where I left off for the next time??? Could you suggest a modification so maybe I could get all the way through it? Thanks!!!

My rule for a difficult workout is to never turn it off; just march in place until I catch my breath, and then jump back in. You might have to catch your breath a lot, but don't stop! Keep going, and you will go farther every time. :)

When I am building up to the entire workout, I will do a couple of the rotations and put it on pause. I walk around my house for a minute or two. When my heart rate is manageable again, I get back with it and do a few more. Pretty soon, I'm OK with it all. The pauses really help me.

Try the premixes on this one. The one I tried is going through all of the workout, but doing everything only once instead of twice. The other two basically do the first half or the second half only. That will build your stamina until you can do the whole thing.

What a great question Twobrowneyes!

There is no right or wrong way to go about learning it. However you are comfortable learning it is how you should "attack it".

The way I personally would do it is to go all out as designed until I got too winded. Then I would just cut back doing less weight, less reps, or using less range of motion depending on what the exercise is. That way I would be exposing my body to the entire workout while getting familiar and stronger with it.

If you want to try this I think you'd discover that little by little you would be able to do more until you eventually caught up without all the modifications (or at least many less then previously). Good Luck!

This is my new favorite!!!! I took longer rests in between, like an extra 30 seconds, but I was able to finish it. my only problem was I could not for the life of me get the form right for the clean and press...
