AFTER C-SECTION: BEST TAPES FOR GETTING SHAPE BACK????

Cathlete
Hello!
My dd just had a baby 4 weeks ago. She had a c-section and is having a rough time getting the stomach back in shape. She gained 30lbs and has dropped all but 8lbs. She looks GREAT just the stomach area that is giving her trouble.

question: what cathe tapes would be best for her to start blasting this fat off and getting her stomach back in shape????

She was active prior to pregnancy and did powerwalking during pregnancy. I have all of cathe's tapes.

THANKS A BUNCH!!!

take care:)

I had a csection with my first baby & the dr told me no ab work or heavy lifting for 6 weeks. I would think she should start back with something easier than Cathe. Even though she was active during pregnancy she has probably lost a lot of her fitness level.

She is only 4 weeks out from having a baby and a section at that, give it more time. It took her nine months to lose her figure she will not get it back overnight. I had 3 c-sections and did finally lose the pregnancy weight only to regain it later, but I am saying it is possible. Loose skin may be a problem depending on hereditary and how young she is (thus the elasticity of her skin) and how it bounces back for her.

Give it another 2-4 weeks then she can begin doing some abs work but beware laying on your stomach will still feel different.

Congratulations on becoming a grandmom!!!:7 :D

I'd would recommend she start with cardio, but only after doctors approvial cardio is very wonderful at working those abs and making them tight without a lot of stress that normal abs work gives the abs. Once doctor gives the okay then let her find the aerobic that's right for her, I would have a really hard time recommending Cathe at this point, as she's been at lest 7 months from doing a lot of intense aerobics. So grab a variety of different videos of beginner, intermediate and see which one she can do, then slowly work in some abs once a week then twice and then 3 times etc, as it will feel different to her and things will pull different, and she will really have to watch out for over doing it, if she does over do it, she may have a hard time picking up baby and putting it on changing table, feeding it, etc. As with that incision, the pain is a lot different then the normal soreness you get when you over work your abs.

BTW congrats on becoming a gradmom, and your daughter is already doing great at getting her figure back just tell her not to rush things, it took nine months to get that little pouch, it will take a while to get rid of it, as not only does she have to start from scatch at working those muscles, she's got to wait until the start to recede as they no longer have the baby's weight pushing against them, and from your description it sounds like they might not have got the memo yet. Give it a bit of time she'll get her abs back.
