I just wanted to say, I think you ladies (and the occasional gent) are all wonderful and I think it's great that we can have what are essentially fairly heated discussions without anyone tossing the F bomb or otherwise engaging in typical message-board tactics.

Marie, I agree 100%. And Marie and Michele, at the risk of sounding mushy, you both make Catheland a wonderful, intelligent, warm, wonderful place and I too want to thank you both just for being who you are.

In addition, I just want to say, as my husband has often commented, Catheites in general have really expanded my little world. I was born and raised and have spent my entire life in the northeast and it's not only nice, but good for me, to meet people from other parts of the country. My opinions don't change all that easily, but I have nonetheless been influenced by many people here, and appreciate hearing different views. And I have, at least once, actually changed my opinion! Yup, it can happen.

I completely agree with all of this. Almost everyone on this forum is smart, funny, considerate, and it's really fun and a pleasure to read all the thoughtful comments and get new points of view. I guess if Nancy is the voice of NY I am the voice of LA, and it's very interesting to read about the different cultures in the United States and the things that are important to each of them. The one thing that we all agree on is that Cathe is the best!

I agree...I don't spend as much time on the open forum nor do I post frequently, but I appreciate the fact that folks here are able to share a difference of opinion without it getting ugly. I, too, enjoy hearing new viewpoints and challenging my own thinking. Thanks, everyone, for such engaging and respectful discussions!
