Hello girls, I need your help. I'm planning to buy Cardio Kicks and Circuit Max. I already have the Intensity Series , MIC, MIS, The DVD "Power Hour"and Cardio Hits. Is Circuit Max similar to Cardio and Weights?. I Know Cardio Kicks is totally diferent, but is really intense? Thank you in advance.

I have both CMAX and C&W, but I confess that I haven't gotten a chance to try C&W out yet. However, I believe that others have cited C&W as the "younger, gentler sister of CMAX." I hope others will chime in here and correct me if I'm wrong, but I also think that C&W includes heavier upper body work than CMAX, but CMAX is cardiovascularly more intense. CMAX was one of my first Cathe workouts and I fell in love with it the first time I tried it - you won't regret getting it at all!!!

Cardio Kicks is (and I'm starting to think it always will be) one of my top 3 favorites that Cathe has put out. It's just an awesome workout! You can make it as intense as you want it, and if you give it your all, those lats will sure be talkin' to ya the day after (but in a good way!) :7

So, to put it bluntly, get the DVD and don't look back!;-)

I love CK, CMax, and C&W. Dimples is right C&W is easier than CMax, yet it does use heavier weights. I think CK is as intense as you make it. On the arm drills, if you really focus on your form and punching with all your might your heart rate will stay up. I like CK because it is a break from step. CMax is intense in my opinion and will keep your heart rate up. It moves quickly. I think these are all great workouts. The music in C&W is a lot of fun. Enjoy!

I wish these were on separate DVD's, because I NEVER use Circuit Max. Blech. It is definitely more intense cardiovascularly than C&W, and it is MUCH harder on the knees because of all the highimpact. Oooh, I just don't like this one at all. Keep in mind that I think MIC hi-lo is just awful (boring, repetitive choreography and if you modify to lower impact it just isn't worth doing), so if you like that you will like Circuit Max.
Cardio Kicks, on the other hand, is an incredible workout! Creative, FUN and tough. I love this one.

I'd say get the VHS versions, so you can trade or sell on if you don't like it...

Hi:

this would be a very good purchase to make because there's nothing else out there quite like either Cardio K or Circuit Max.

I do Cardio kicks periodically and always enjoy it. It is intense, especially if you give it your all, kicking as hard as you can, punching aggressively, jumping high on the power drills in the second half. I can't see how anyone can do this tape and not get to the top of their heart rate range, especially with those drills, they are awesome. And if you get this on DVD, you could sometimes just separarte the drills section and tag it onto the end of another workout, just to push up the intensity to go out with a blast. After Cardio K, I alway feel this the next day in my arms, and the back especially, in a very good way.

I owned Circuit max for 2 years before doing it, though I previewed it often. I was slightly afraid of it. Then I tried Cardio & Weights at Christmas and realized I love circuit training. Cardio & Weights is significantly easier than Circuit max, and to me they feel like totally different workouts.

Circuit max is like Imax 1 or 2 and Body Max: incredibly tough, a real challenge cardiovascularly, and well suited to a high energy day after a day's rest. having recently challenged myself to do it regularly, I am loving it. I choose to work it slightly diferently in that for the endurance weight work I do not do any upper body exercises at all, I make up my own lower body ones following a suggestion I read from Aquajock, so I use the tape as a cardio challenge and supreme leg endurance workout. This is good because it means I only have to work legs one other day with weight training and I'm set. I find that doing legs only on the weights sections of this tape allows me to accomplish more and i alternate between doing squats, plie squats, walking and static lunges, and lunges onto and off the step. I wish I had not been afraid of this video and had started it years ago!

The advantage of getting Circuit Max on DVD is that if you simply fancy a half hours solid cardio one day, say before doing some weight training, you could run through all the cardio sections back to back and have a blast. I have also done this, even though I have VHS, I just fast forwarded it while jumping on the spot! The cardio features 4 different styles so there's tons of variety. I love the music and Cathe is having fun and very motivational.

I think Cardio Kicks and Circuit MAx would make great additions to your personal fitness library, based on the choice of videos you already own, and there are many ways to work them and include them in rotations.

have fun!

DVD chaptering

Also wanted to add that the chaptering on Circuit Max is not too great. There are not seperate chapters for each circuit, so you can't just skip to the next cardio section or weight section. This was one of Cathe's earlier DVDs, which explains the lack of great chaptering options...
