Admit it people, rotations

Hi Diane Sue,
This probably is a wise idea to get the moves in our heads before tackling the Extreme DVD. This one is designed for super intesity and perhaps it would be best to know what one is doing before breaking ones neck or toe or something.:)I remember your accident a while back. I've been there before myself.:( It isn't a pretty picture is it? :-(

You and Kathy have some good ideas. I will follow what you two come up with. P90X concentrated more on muscle building. While it had Plyometric and a Cardio X and Kenpo, I desperatly missed my Cathe's cardio workouts on the step. It had Ab ripper X, but I missed Cathe's variety in ab work. I honestly feel my waist and abs suffered even though I did the workouts as written. My back got ripped though. DH was impressed and wanted to take pix. Somewhere there is a balance of the two concepts; the best of both so to speak.

Kathy,
Another rotation for those who don't want to do body parts two times with hardcore and have more time limits, I would do it like this
Mon. Gym Style legs+ stretch max
Tues. Low Max + core max
Wed. Gym Style Chest & Triceps + stretch max
Thurs. I max 3 + core Max
Fri. Gym Style SHoulders, back, & Biceps + stretch max
Sat. Kick Max + core Max
Sun. rest
Mon. I Max 3 + core max segment
Tues. Muscle Max + stretch max
Wed. Low Max + core segment
Thurs. Kick Max
Fri.High Step Challenge
Sat. Core Max + stretch max
Sun. rest
Just some suggestions
Diane Sue:)

Hi Wanda,
Thanks for the info on P90X. Kathy has given me some info too. Maybe Cathe will have some of the exercises that they had on these. I am sure you could could combine the two and be able to work on the weaker parts for gains. I often add other exercises where I feel something is lacking. Yes the accident was not a pleasant experience. My knee still bothers me some and is numb in places:-(
Diane Sue

Thanks for the good info Wanda. That is as I suspected. I won't feel so bad now not getting the P90X series. I don't relish the idea of buying yet a pull up bar and other equipment. Today I received my high step. Woohoo! Now I'm even more excited about getting the hardcore series.

Enjoy your weekend!

Margaret

One would have to know what your rotation has been. Maybe you could replace one cardio and one total body workout with one of the others? Now if it was the Pyramids for weights, maybe do the Pyramids one week and the Gym workouts the next. Unless you are doing two times a week per body part.
Diane Sue

Hi Diane Sue! Well you've done it again. I knew I could count on you. After reading today's update, I believe all of us should have these DVDs in our hot little hands by January. Thanks so much for taking the time to put together the rotation.

I've been doing very well w/your Slow & Heavy one; its a winner!

Take care, Kathy:D

Hi Diane Sue! I'm so sorry to hear about your knee. I had no idea that its still giving you trouble.:-( Do you have to eliminate step now?

Hardcore Series is similar to P90X just like Wanda mentioned. Also in P90X there was the variation of using the tubing if you didn't wish to use dbs. And we never picked up a bb for our legs. I never felt Legs P90X worked it well enough but it was a nice change. There is a move in Harcore for triceps that's exactly the same as in P90X. I've gotten much stronger in my abs since doing Ab Ripper X. I did 3x a week for 3 months & my back has much more definition from using the pull up bar. Now all of Cathe's core work is easy so I know Core Max will fit the bill quite nicely. After viewing all the pictures these DVDs are winners.

Take care, Kathy:D

Kathy,
I think these new dvd's will be a fun challenge. I have not eliminated anything from my workouts because of my knee. I think it will remain numb because I think a nerve or something was cut. The only changes I have made is to do a little more floor cardio & kickbox than previously. I also usually not do tall bench leg presses more than once in a week. These can aggravate it if done to much. I was kind of figuring when the new workouts come I may not need P90X. We will see. Although it would probably be a good addirion to my collection.

Wow!! you guys just motivated me to get these dvd's. When are you starting? I would love to join if you don't mind. I'm new to Cathe but really pound the gym and running at the local highschool track and bleachers, so I would like to try this challenge! Maybe it will blast me out of my plateu. Anie

Hi Anie! We plan on doing this rotation when we get our hands on Hardcore series. We figure sometime in January. Keep your fingers crossed. Kathy:D
