Adding cardio at lunch break

Hi,

I have been trying to find a way to fight my middle age bulge. I'm doing STS (3 days) and cardio ( 45 mins, 3 days) in the morning. Is adding 30 mins cardio at lunch time 5 days a week going to be a good idea or is it going to be more harm? I sit at work all day long.

Thanks,
TG

Hi TG!

I wouldn't add 30 minutes at lunch 5 days a week but perhaps 2 to 3 days. But if you are giving up lunch to do this, then I don't recommend it. You will get ravenous and eat back your hard earned calorie burn if you don't eat properly. It also sounds like your 3 days of cardio at 45 minutes are predictable....if so, make sure to shock these up too. Take care!

Hi Cathe,

Thank you so much for your reply! I really appreciate it.

If I workout at lunch time then I eat lunch 1 hour before the workout and have a protein drink after. Is it a good idea?

I will shock my body with cardio. Is changing the cardio routines a shock?

For example, I'll be doing intervals on treadmill, elliptical, stair master. I'll go to spin class, boot camp, taebo and may be go swimming (need a cute swim suit) . I'll also change the speed, inclination. Is there anything else I need to do?

Do I have to change the amount of time from 45 mins to more or less?

Thanks again,
TG
