RE: addicted to buying workout dvds and anything fitnes...

I have been known to go on "binges" buying fitness goods. When I first discovered Cathe I think I spent something like $500 w/in 6 months purchasing JUST dvds of hers! I am always browsing online or in stores looking for something else to buy. I recently purchased a rebounder and quickly acquired several work outs for it. I also just purchased Mindy's gliding system which is on it's way to me as I type this! AND...as if I don't have enough at home to keep me busy, I joined a gym a couple of months ago!!!}( :+ :D :p :7

So yeah, I know where you are coming from!;)

Yes!! This is me!! lol I'm completely addicted. I've got all of Cathe's (with the exception of a couple) and tons of others as well...my only saving grace, I guess, is I've just started selling some of the ones I don't use.

I've sold vids I no longer use...it's just ploy to justify buying more!}(

whatever store i go in i have a plan. check out the sports bras and workout clothing, check the fitness equipment aisle for any good deals or new items, check out the dvds then magazines. gosh forbid if i miss something LOL. i always check collage and deepdiscountdvd for new arrivals. right now i am restricted from buying more workout dvds. i have to use all the workouts(i have a total of 5 binders including articles)i pulled from magazines and printed online.

i have had to take a step back and see what i would really "need" for my fitness selection to keep from over buying things i might not use.

I've had my moments of obsessiveness. I pretty much have it under control now. I've learned what I like and don't like and what I need and don't need. I am very picky at buying new workouts. I've learned that I can count on likeing most all of what Cathe puts out and 'some' Beachbody workouts, with a small handful of yoga. It has to be something really different for me to even be interested, like Cardio Coach was something really different and new, so I bought a bunch of those and love them. I've learned I don't like anything that is "trying to hard" to be to creative and new. I like good old fashioned lifting (no strange gadgets, although I love the ball and the bands) be it for endurance or strength. I like Cathe's Cardio and simple outside stuff like walking, biking and hiking, I also will use the treadmill and stationary bike. I'm not into real dancy stuff or over the top complicated stuff. Cathe's choreography is fine for me.

I use the "you have to sell something to buy something" motto.

This helps control over buying alot.

What? It is possible to be obsessive with buying fitness DVDs and related equipment and apparel? Gosh, I'd better cancel the Cathe order I just placed...oops, can't, it shipped.}( ;-)

What! Are you kidding? Me? Addicted to exercise videos? No way! I hate cardio. I only buy what I absolutely need as a last resort--lol!

That is where all my $$$ seems to go to workout DVD's and then the fitness apparel. Yikes keep me off line and out of Sports Authority!
