Acai Berry Flush Diet: Really?

I just had a friend post this on my FB wall:

"I was able to knock out 10lbs in 10 days with http://www.dietnewsdaily.co.tv/"

It's not that I need to lose weight or anything, but I know a lot of people who do. People I care a lot about. People I want to see live long, healthy lives.

If people end up doing this diet, who's to say they won't gain all the weight back when the bucks run out to pay for this stuff???

IMO, eating clean is so much easier, healthier and safer in the long run...

What do you think?

Oh Thanx for posting about this. I was thinking of asking about it myself as I've been dying to know about it for a couple of years.

Has anyone done it??

I just can't help but think that it's some gargantuan laxative?? Where I work I'm the only woman among 5 men and I can just imagine taking this stuff and emitting horrendous gurgling sounds and lurching into the toilet 3 times every hour.

This does not imbue me with overwhelming confidence, but I'm still intrigued.

Does anyone have any answers??

I definitely don't have any answers on this, but I bet if you asked your friend you would find out that they didn't post that on FB. It is most likely spam. I don't think there is any miracle cure out there for weight loss. It comes down to what we've known for a long time, it's all about eating and exercising. I have a neighbor who sells that acai stuff and she is always pushing it, but she struggles with her weight as much as (or more than) anyone else...

My husband read about this stuff on-line and decided to try it. He didn't lose a single pound and after about a while started feeling muscle fatigue even though he hadn't been working out. He ended up stopping taking them. They were expensive and did absolutely nothing for weight loss in his case. Maybe they work for other people, but I agree with you, diet and exercise are the best way to stay lean and healthy!

I had this spam hit my FB account. It went out to mulitple friends as if I sent it. It was weird because some said 10 lbs in10 days, 9 lbs in 9 days, 7 lbs in 7 days. Other had a kitten video attachment. Do not click on it if you get it. Delete it and notify the sender so they can clean up their account and change their password.

I think açaí berries are tasty and healthy, and I use the frozen pulp to make fruit 'sorbets' all the time, but I wouldn't buy it in a pill, just eat it as a food.

Thanks guys. My friend confirmed she didn't post it after I asked her. Then I also changed my settings to tighten privacy and changed my password.

As to the actual diet, I think I will take Kathryn's advice and just get the berries.
