I am a male that has a hard time with sticking to an ab routine for more than a couple of seconds. what can i do to keep from getting bored with my routine? heeeeeeelllllllpppp mmmmmeeeeeee

I suggest that you check out www.muscleandfitness.com--they have a section this month on ab routines--I'll try to paste the page http://www.muscleandfitness.com/mf/weider/091702/2_min.html
---to keep from boredom, try to sequence the order that you do the abs during your workouts--ex if you do them before workouts-consider doing them in the middle or at the end! Keep it fresh by doing a variety of standing ab work, hanging raises, planks, incline bench, weighted ab work or use a stability ball to work a greater range of movement! You can also make improvements by working your abs at a different angle---hold onto a chair work your lower, then obliques then upper--or do obliques-lower then upper--just change the order around! You can also check out www.menshealth.com for ab routines---I hope this was helpful ! Have fun! Your friend in fitness~~Francine

Darklord, I love that. Is that Tolkien-esque?

I know that abs need more frequent cross-training than other body parts because they adjust to your current routine quickly. You have to keep changing your regime to see results.

Cathe's new ab hits DVD is terrific for this because you can do several different segments in a week.

Hope this helps.
