How are you using the Gym Style wokrouts? One body part per day? Is that best?

What if you only have 2 days a week to devote to the Gym Style workouts? How would you split it up? I was thinking: GS C&T + GSL standing work one day, the GS BSB + GSL floor work the next day.

Then I would do Muscle Max,ME or SJ&P a couple of days later.

So many workouts that I love make things so hard to choose....any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Renee

Hi Renee! The rotation sounds good to me or you could also put a cardio day in after your weight training instead of doing 2 consecutive days of weight training. But otherwise its very good. Kathy:D

Hi Renee,

I have been doing a one body part per day rotation with the GS, so I can fit in my pilates and cardio. It seems to be really working well for me. I will probably switch in a week or so because I have been on this rotation for three weeks now. I will probably do two total body endurance workouts for the following 3 weeks along with my cardio and pilates. I think your rotation sounds good too. I may actually try that.

Hi and Thanks Kathy and Aila.

Yes Kathy, I would do cardio and the Gym Styles on these days. I am sadly enough a cardio junkie and do cardio 6 or 7 days a week. So, I try to fit strength training around my cardio work. Although since I started using the Hardcore strenght workouts, with the band, I love the muscle definition that is forming. I am trying to figure out a way to fit the Gym Styles into my week. I have been on a Muscle Max kick, throwing in the floor work from GSL as extra. I do not work on Wednesdays,Thursday,Saturdays and Sundays, so I use Wed.,Thurs and Saturdays as cardio and strength/ab days. All the other days of the week are cardio and ab days.

I wonder if people doing one body part per day are doing legs all in one day, then breaking up the upper body into seperate days?

Thanks for you help....:)

This sounds like a plan to me.

I hate doing one body part per day. I'm just not a "mix and match" person. I'm a "do one thing at a time and do it bloody well" person, so I separate cardio and weights days. When I do the GS, I do the whole leg workout in one day, add some core work and I'm done. When I do upper body I will probably do 4 body parts in a day, like GS chest, back, biceps and bis. Then later in the week, I will repeat it to include shoulders and leave out some other body part, and keep switching the body part I leave out and will include later.

I like a single focus. I can't bear split foci. I refuse to multi-task for the rest of my life.

My single minded focus has brought me great results.

What you do depends upon your personality and time you have available.

Hello again Renee! You could also cut out some "cardio" days (gasp!) & instead really hit it hard & do Hardcore Extreme (especially 2 or 3) to get in your cardio. When doing too much cardio, the cardio will eat up all the muscle definition that your trying to attain. Just my .02. HTH, Kathy:D

Thank you Clare..that is food for thought. Thats why I like total body workouts. These one part per day/per week workouts are new to me.

Kathy...cut back on cardio.....whew...thats probably like trying to give up crack! Hardcore Extreme is the one Hardcore I did not order. I pre ordered the 10 disc set. I have the Terminator and have not found myself using anything but the IMAX Extreme workout very much.

Tell me, I can't/don't allow myself to cut back on cardio because I am so afraid I will gain weight. I have a bit of a sweet tooth..:9 that causes me calorie trouble sometimes. Will cutting back to 5 or 6 days of cardio lead to much/any weight gain? Probably depends on eating habits,etc...

Thank again! :) Renee
