ABC Super Soap Weekend in Disney...please pray for me!

If you think it's tough being a male in Cathe Nation...(it's not, really, it's great..but for the purposes of this post, just imagine)...try being a male non soap opera fan who must once again endure ABC's Super Soap Weekend in Disney on 11/15-16...:eek:

If you've never heard of this event, it is basically where the stars from the ABC soaps come to Disney for a weekend of autographs, motocades, interviews...in alot of ways like A Cathe RT without Cathe and the workout part, just a massive fan fest.

Being the loving hubby yours truly is, I must yet again accompany DW for the event..DW is actually somewhat mild when compared to all the requests for shirt removal, bicep flexes...(how many times do I have to say NO...now that I'm working out with Cathe, the idea of seeing myself shirtless doesn't repulse me quite as much..but it still ain't happenin'.....;))

I'd say there's about a 50:1 ratio of females to males at the event, which was pretty true for the July Cathe RT as well, only this is a much larger scale.

With a little luck, DW will allow me to run off and ride the Tower of Terror a few times while she's soaping it up...she's usually lucky enough to find a group of gals to join in with...I just hope her luck holds out..for my sake!

I am so tempted to climb up on one of the park benches during the event and yell...."Who wants to do Drill Max"!! to see if I'd get a reaction.

Please pray for my safety well in advance!!!

I have to admit, I would much rather ride the Tower of Terror. :cool:I haven't watched soaps since I was a teenager.

You really are a good husband, Jerry! I don't know if mine would do that. Although he has to put up with all the space our TIVO uses up on recording the soaps.

Have fun and I hope you don't lose your lunch on the Tower of Terror (my favorite ride!)

I've never even heard of such a thing. My hubby could take lessons from you. He won't even go to Disney to take our daughter. He told me to take somebody else :( I'll have more fun with my brother anyway, and get DH to pay for all of it!

Have fun :eek: Tell your wife she better appreciate the great guy that she has on her hands!

Sad to say, but yes, I do...he plays Jason on GH...they haven't released the attendees for this year yet, he was there a few years ago.

This is DW's revenge weekend for my Cathe RT getaway, so I'm more than happy to let her have her fun, because I sure did at the RT!

GH is the only soap I bother to watch sometimes.

You are a VERY good man, Jerry! The most I can get my husband to do is to sit through 90210 2.0 every Tuesday night...LOL!
 
OH Jerry, you poor thing. Having to go to Disney yet again. I feel so bad for you!!! :p If you would like I would gladly take your place. Don't care for the soap stars, would rather see Mickey...hey maybe he'll take his shirt off for me?

Jerry, I thought Steve was at all the SSWE, by popular demand! Since all the other girls are stealing my smooches, please give his cheek a good squeeze for me (not the one on his face, TY very much).
