Hi Cathe
I am really trying to trim down my middle section-- namely tummy and a little fat on my mid-back. It is the only really visible fat that I have. I havce been doing various ab-training 5 to 6 days a week and back 4-5. I have muscle there that shows a little like a "four pack". I realize that hard/lean abs may be impossible for my body type. However, I do not think visible strong abs are impossible and it feel really good to have a strong core.
My question is: In gaining strength and building muscle, is it best to do the same excercises and switch every two to three weeks or different ones everyday )or other day)? Currently, I am doing your ab section from PS (with added leg raises and knee-ins) in alterartion woth Kellie Roberts abdominal workout twice a week. However, I do not feel that I am necessarily getting any stronger. I am thinking about getting a tape that has 5 different excercises for five days of the week but first I want to know if for pure ab strength, is it better to adopt a challenging workout for a week or two and just do it or dp different excercises (or order) every few days (or everyday). Any advice on the back would be good too. However, I think as I get more muscle (I am doing PS) my metabolism will go faster tnd that will solve itself. Are yiour other weight videos more challenging than PS?
Finally, I have your maximum intensity workout and can just make it through (I love it!) However, this makes me think I should wait a bit before the interval max. If I want anpther workout, say as chgallengin or slightly less than maximum intensity (but works muscle, endurance, and heatrate hard) what would you suggest? I also have other interval workkouts that I do. It's o.k. to do interval work two or three days in a row (as ong as it is not the same workout, like spin class or other interval tapes) isn't it?
Thanks!
