A year ago today at about 4pm I got the devestating call that my brother had suddenly pass away due to a heart attack. I'm extremely sad and emotional. In mememory of my brother please everyone make sure get visit your doctor on a regualar basis. May you rest in piece my wonderful brother! I love You!

My supervisor lost her brother last week. Although they are both in their late 60's, she said how hard it is to lose him. HUGS to all of you mourning the loss of a loved one.

I am so sorry. I know the hurt you are experiencing. I lost my brother 8 years ago (in 10 days) to cancer. He was 45. I lost my mom in a car accident when she was 43 and my dad to a fatal heart attack at the age of 54. It's hard when you know they were so young. (Of course, it is hard to lose any loved one at any age.) My thoughts & prayers are with you today. May he rest in peace!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I also lost a brother suddenly, I was 16 and he was 19. Even though that was 31 years ago, I still think of him all the time.
But I don't think of him like he's gone, I think of him as my other brothers and sisters, like "Steve would love this movie!" or "Steve would get a kick out of this!" He's still alive in my mind. This is all still very fresh for you, but as time passes, you will be able to think of him more and more while choking up less and less. You'll just think of him and smile. Take care.

I understand the sadness that you are feeling. I lost my little sister (she was 21) on August 17, 2000, she was killed by a drunk driver. I too remember getting the phone call at 5:30am. She was my best friend and not a day goes by that I don't think about her or know that she is with me helping me get through the days.
I received a lot of comforting words from the members here last year when I was really struggling. I'll never forget it
