Hi Cathe,

I have just purchased a DVD--Basic Step + Body Fusion and am waiting for it to be shipped to me but now that I am looking for a stepper, I am not having luck finding one that supports over 200lbs...

Do you know where I can get a stronger one or suggest something else I can use?

thanks

I am not cathe, but if you are just starting out. You will probably do better with a treadmill or an elipitical. An eliptical had less impact on your knees and you are probably looking for cardio at this point.
Welcome aboard and good luck.

I am over 200lbs and I have the home studio step and an original club step. they both work for me even though the studio step says up to 200 lbs. I think the club step says up to 300lbs

Get the original step. It is longer and you can purchase additional risers to use as a weight bench for Cathe's weight work. And I was 225 and had no issues with this bench when I started working out.

Also - starting out you can do it w/out a step and see how your knees are doing, (Cathe said with this injury she did the step workouts stepless for a while then added the step back in at a low highth, I believe) then add the step as soon as you feel fit (or the very next workout if they were fine) CONGRATS on taking this BIG step towards better health!
