A scary thought...................

I was sitting here reading posts when I had the thought, "wonder what Cathe's version of a Boot Camp workout is?"

I mean, let's be realistic here! Have you done MIC and seen her version of a hi/lo workout? NOBODY else does hi/lo like Cathe! Cathe's hi/lo is extreme! Even in 10 min segments like CTX 10-10-10, tell me you're not happy as heck to get to the stepping portion!? It's like a vacation after the kickboxing and hi/lo! And look what she did with kickboxing! CardioKicks isn't your every day kickboxing workout! Once again, extreme! Sooooooooooo.....

What on earth will a "Cathe" Boot Camp workout look like? Will it be something the military may adopt to train their own recruits? Clearly, it will be extreme! Like 100 push ups, the bend and thrust type, 100 air born jumps, and this is just the warm up! :)

I think all of it is going to be pretty crazy.I've thought about it very often whet these workouts are going to be like.
I wonder what IMAX 2 is going to consist of.Is she going to have all these new moves? And I think all of the music in each video is going to be awesome as well.
I am also looking forward to the pyramid workout. Is is going to be SSSOOO nice to have something really different for a while.I am so excied. It is a good thing that time goes by so quickly.
Hopefully I won't be pregnat by the time the new videos come out.I don't think a fetus is going to be able to withstand what she as in store for us.

I thought about this today too. Do I REALLY want to order the INTENSITY series?? I thought, aren't all Cathe's tapes intense?? Yeah, scary!!

Lori - are you thinking of getting pregnant? If so, congrats:) DH and I are also planning to get pregnant sometime next spring:)

Pammer

We sort of are....are then we aren't really trying at the same time.We have been married for over a year and Ihave been off pf the pill ever since.Only b/c my periods got really screwed up, so I thought I would take a break. But then I never did go back on them,
I just find that when you are thinking about trying, there are so many things you want to work around. We haven't been on a honey moon yet and we are suppose to be going down south with my sister and her husband. And then my husbands sister is getting married next year and I am suppose to stand but if I were to get pregnat in the next couple of monthes I would not be able to b/c I would be around 8/9 monthes.
I really don't know what to do.But I had a little girl when I was 17 and now she is 7 and I think it is about time.Plus,i will REALLY like to have a year off of work...

RE: A scarier thought . . .

Given Cathe's arc over the past few years, with the intensity level going nowhere but up and given her stated goals for this next series, can you imagine what she's going to cook up in 2003?

I love Cathe. She keeps busting my own personal ceiling; I keep thinking, "If SHE can do it (and she's only 3 years younger than I am) I can do it!"

However, I could never do it under those hot lights!

Oooo . . that is a scary thought. I'm just happy when the MIC hi/lo is over. I always think, "Oh good. The step portion. This will be easier - the pace is slower!". Not that it's any less intense, but my poor brain at that point thinks so.

Hmm . . should make Imax 2 very exciting indeed!

Just smiling and nodding, in total agreement.

I think that is what makes me look forward to Boot Camp the most. It's going to be totally insane.

Kathy,

That's my word for it, exactly. The first time I saw Cathe do crazy eights with a 35 pound barbell as the *first* exercise for biceps on CTX UB, I stepped into the computer room where my DH was puttering around and said, "This woman is insane!" He thought it was pretty funny. But we *love* her, though!

Angela

Angela, I am almost positive Cathe uses 25#'s on CTX's biceps. I hope you didn't try with 35. I'd die. I still can't believe she uses the same amount of poundage for every body part in MIS. And that video is somewhat older. I thought MIC was psycho - 59 min. not including warm up or cool down. Then came that crazy Body Max with the super fast paced step followed by the power circuits (agh, my nemesis) and the upper body work. And then she unleashed Imax upon us and the world has never been the same. I am scared yet super excited to see what she has in store next. I guess that's why she calls it SNM videos!

I was pretty sure she used 25# too on UB CTX. I'm gonna have to check this out. I'm bound and determined to master IMAX I before receiving IMAX 2. It's been tough on my knees, but my dh promised to go up to our little cabin in the woods and retrieve some livestock mats that have been stored up there to see if this will help the old knees and "I will be ready". The things we do to prevent pain so that we can be in pain, makes no sense eh???

Jilly Bean..

Jilly Bean--

Okay, I just have to tell you I laughed out loud in regard to your comment on why Cathe calls it "SNM videos"..

That was pretty clever!!

Lynn ( still chuckling)

RE: Jilly Bean..

I'm working my way up on Cathe videos step and weights and have ordered a lot this year and about to order more in November. I am waiting until I am more indoctrinated to get the Intensity Series. YIKES :-rollen that could acutally finish me off if I try it too soon. Ah, but it lets me know there is lots of room to grow. SOOOO much room to grow.

Anette, is Cathe 30 how many now? I'm not sure seems it's actually like 37 or so which is hard to believe the way she's going 100 + miles an hour but I'm like you if she can do it so can I one day. After all I'm only 44.

Oh, that is so funny. Would you rather be pregnant or do Cathe? I have often wondered which I'd prefer and of course I'd rather be pregnant, but then again...............

Now that is obsession.
