A question on kickboxing as strength training..

Hi, Cathe, I'm somewhat new to the boards, but have been doing kickboxing since around 2000, primarily TaeBo. I have heard so many theories as to whether or not kickboxing itself is a complete, total body workout that you would need no outside equipment to do.

Would love to know your thoughts on this...is it primarily cardio, or can you get where you want to be strength-wise with kickboxing??

Thanks,

Jerry

Hi Jerry! It is a solid hard core cardio workout that really calls upon the legs, upper body and core. NO DOUBT!!! But just like any workout, when your body gets used to a certain way of doing something the results taper off. You will need to find new stimulation by altering your routine to keep those results coming full force.
