A new dance workout...U won't believe it!!!!!

OMG!! My kids just got one of those new dance pad things with a dance game for XBOX...What a workout!!! If your kids have one you HAVE to try it!!!It is a lot of fun and a great low or high impact workout depeding what mode you want.The music is really great!!

I just can't believe how much fun it is, plus you can get a workout playing with your kids... some things never cease to amaze me.

Denise-This game IS so much fun! I got my kids the Dance Dance Revolution Extreme game for PS2 and 2 dance mats for Christmas LAST year and we STILL love this game. It's so much fun and an extra workout for the day!

It is FUN!! The boys got 2 dance mats too, that way you can dance together...LOL!! It is much harder to get those steps than I thought it would be..LOL!!

What a wonderful idea to get kids moving...my boys love it!!
 
At first I felt like a DORK! I am athletic and coordinated, but NOT GRACEFUL! Oh, well, I work up a sweat just trying. We've slowly been able to increase our difficulty!

No kidding!!!I feel like a dork too, heck the kids were kicking my behind with no problem at all. I kept stepping to early or too late...LOL!! It is fun!
 
A couple of Christmas' ago, one of the kids in my family got one and brought it over when we were having a get together. By the end of the night, the kids were totally p'd, because as one of them put it "The old sweaty goofy grown-up won't even let us get back on and play. You just watch one of them is gonna have a heart attack or slip on all that sweat and break something."
 
About a year ago DH and I went out with some friends of ours and we ended up at a miniature golf/arcade place. They had that game there and for awhile we all just sat there and watched these kids go at it. We were laughing about how "into" it they all were. They were all really good at it! So, when they finally got off we decided to try it ourselves. Boy did we look like idiots. All the kids were probably standing around laughing at the "old folks" (we're all in our 30's) playing this game. It WAS a great workout though, and it really was fun.

Gave this to my niece for Christmas. The whole family "dork danced" together for hours. And, yeah, we worked up a sweat!
 
It is fun! My dd7 got it for Christmas. My ds6 is a natural on it! They laugh when I do it, but like Gayle said it's a nice little bonus workout. It's nice to spend that time together laughing and dancing (if that's what you want to call what I am doing...ha ha). :) Now if I can get my dh to try it. hee hee.

Hey, having two would be a good idea. Then we could have contests. Hmmm....

lesliemarie - OMG! They make one for GameCube???? I'm going to HAVE to get it! Is it called DDR also or does it have a different name?
 
That sounds like something I definitely want to look into! My daughter loves to dance, so I think that she would love it, and it could be great for parties, too. Thank you for the info! :)
