a few questions

Hi everyone. A quick comment the day after my first BC workout. OUCH my upper body is hurtin, and I thought I was tough! Is there a way to find out how long the premixes are? I'm lovin working out with Cathe, she's new to me, I've purchased KPC, and Powerhour, both VHS and BC/ME DVD. I'm not a fan of step and I have other Kickboxing tapes and a treadmill and elliptical trainer at home so I'm covered for cardio. I was trying to decide on the Pyramids DVD or Push and Pull/Supersets DVD to add to my strength options, any preferances, also which, if any have floor work. Thanks and sorry about all the questions. Sue

Hi Sue!
I love BC and ME. They are both awesome workouts! One way I like to do BC is to do the Everything But Core Premix then go back and do the Core Only premix. Sometimes getting up off the floor and jumping into cardio makes me a little sick. I don't really know exact premix times.

I love the Pyramid DVD. I really have noticed a lot of definition in my arms since doing these. I can't stay away from them long. PUB has an awesome stability ball ab workout at the end. Sometimes I do this first as you use your arms a lot for the ab work. PLB has a wonderful lower body workout at the end of the standing leg work using the stability ball. PLB is the only workout that gives me DOMS in my hamstrings which I find hard to get at home. I find the floor work in PLB is more effective/hard then the floor work in SS.

I also like PP/SS. PP can be quite challenging if you lift heavy. I also enjoy the premixes on this one. SS is not as hard as many of Cathe's workouts but I like the use of the stability ball throughout the workout. I feel your core gets used a lot in this workout. I like the Total Body Two Set premix for PP and SS. You can also combine exercises from both PP and SS to make a complete upper body workout. There are many options with these.
I don't think this is going to help you decide. I guess if I HAD to choose right now I would purchase the Pyramid DVD first. There is way less equipment change and more basic/traditional exercises. You will probably be able to go heavier with the Pyramid DVD. Anyway, good luck! I hope others will offer you their opinions!

Hi Angela, thanks for the input, I ordered the Pyramids, but I think It's only a matter of time before I order the SS/PP DVD as well.I've become addicted to Cathe in a short amount of time, I want them all but that makes planning a rotation even harder because I can't choose between them.Thnaks again Sue

I think you made the right decision getting the Pyramids first for strength. SS and PP are more endurance-style, although you can always modify endurance workouts to suit your strength training needs. And of course, you can always add SS and PP later. Enjoy those Pyramids. Great workouts.:)
