Hi everyone. I hope everyone had a good weekend.

I had a couple temptations but didn't let it take control. But all-in-all I had a good weekend.

Take care and have a great day:)

Hi Deb,

How's it going? Have any plans for guarding off the sugar monsters?

I'm headed into town, but as soon as I get back, I'll be doing a little tae-bo. Whispers>> I think I'm hooked...

As long as I eat 5-6 times a day, small amounts of clean foods, I'll be alright, and I might be able to avoid the cereal cupboard tonight:p

Day 7...

Carrie

Alrighty, didn't check in yesterday b/c I was travelling and we all know how that is! I did have a few treats but nothing that dragged me down b/c even after all weekend, I lost another pound:) Now, I only have 2 lbs to go to prepreg weight and 7 lbs till goal weight.

Todays eating as been spot on and I planned a walk for my worst time of the day...between 3-5 I have a snack but this is when I am more likely to pick and sugary things.

Sounds like you guys are off to a good day. How long have you been following this plan, since the beginning of April?
Lori:)

Hi Lori,

Completely understand traveling. Was it pleasure or work related? Hopefully it wasn't work related. That's always a drag.

I'm still facing the dreaded time tonight when the whole fam wants to go out to Ci-Ci's no less, the all you can eat pizza/salad/dessert buffet. I will completely lose myself if I go in there. Help!!! Any and all ideas are openly welcomed.

I might consider this a red-code and post my plea for help in the open discussion...in case no one reads this in time here.

Carrie

Carrie, the best thing I can tell ya is stick to your guns! If you can make it half way through without cheating then you can go the rest of the way. And don't even have a taste of anything your not allowed b/c if you do...then you won't stop! These are my only words of wisdom:)
Travelling was for fun. Im not working right now. I have a yrs maternity leave:)....I live in Canada. We went to visit my brother and his wife and we did some shopping. I didn't buy anything for myself b/c Im not where I want to be as far as trying on clothes goes. Plus, I don't go anywhere right now b/c Im not working or partying:) My SIL is having a baby in a couple of weeks so we will be going to visit again in the next month or so. I will shop for some summers clothes then.

Must get dinner ready. I took out chicken breast but I have no idea what I am doing with them....so tired of shake and bake;(

Hey girls!!!

I'm bad. I had a homemade "Christmas" treat that a coworker had promised at holiday time. She didn't have the time then and decided to do them over this rainy weekend. Arrgghh......what could I do? Make her feel bad??? I'm so full. I couldn't even eat lunch. I now had enough calories to take me into tomorrow.

Lori - I know you follow Weight Watchers because I sometimes lurk at that check-in. How do you count every point? Like, for instance, I'm making chicken soup tonight, no skin, some barley, tons of veggies and can usually eat three bowls of the stuff. (I don't know about tonight because I'm sick to my stomach right now from all that I ate). So how would you count that. It's hard to measure - for me anyway. I have this problem a lot. I guess I'm always making a soup or a veggie chili or something and I know I overeat.... I'm a lifetime member at WW and weigh in there once a month. I never had a lot to lose - only about 10 lbs. but was happy to become a lifetimer. Well, guess what, I have 10 lbs. to lose again but am still a lifer because I upped my top weight to their top weight which is too heavy for me, IMO.

Okay, now that I wrote a book it's time for me to leave work. Have a great evening. I'll check back in later after my workout and my chicken soup is going.

Nancy:)

Nancy, for me it is alittle easier b/c I do WW's online and there is a recipe builder there.I can put in the ingredients, the servings and it will tell you how many points it is per serving. I don't strictly count the points b/c I never use my activity points or my flex points b/c I am nursing so I can have more points then if I weren't. If I were hungry I would eat them but Im not so I don't.:) So far its worked. I have lost 17 lbs in 11 weeks. I really don't think i would have lost it if I didn't sign up b/c I thought I could eat tons of food b/c I was nursing but that wasn't the case.

Alright, must go check dinner,
Lori:)

Hi everyone,

Been missing for a couple of days, busy weekend. I am doing pretty good. I did have to bake some treats for a church function yesterday and managed only to pop a couple of chocolate chips in my mouth. And at church, I didn't have anything! Yea, me!

My other vice is peanutbutter and when I cut out sweets I think I tend to eat more peanut butter, which is not doing me any good. I just can't buy the stuff, because if its here I'll eat it.

So I was a little disappointed to find I didn't really lose anything this week and am trying very hard not to just fall off the wagon because of it.:(

Linda

Lori -

I really need to get back on program before this 10 lbs. becomes more!! I'm usually a pretty clean eater, I just eat way toooo much.

How much is that online tracker and do you think it's worth it for someone who has followed WW for years? I guess it might be if I can track how much a bowl of homemade soup or chili might be.

You're really doing a great job of losing that baby weight so quickly. Way to go!!!!!! You must be so proud. I know you don't feel it right now (what with staying up half the night), but having a baby in the house is the best time of your life. I remember my mother telling me that numerous times and never listening. Now my baby is 16 years old. She'll always be my baby though!!

Okay, I guess I should poke around at WW's site. Or.....maybe I should get my workout in first. I'll be back!

Nancy

Thanks for everyone's help. It turns out I did not have to have a face off with myself and the buffet.

Our house showing was rescheduled. That was a dodgy bullet for me though, I'm not ready to face my temptations, not yet anyway.

Oh my gosh, Christmas treats! They are so wickedly tasty:) I used to count points but then I gave up, I did it for about 6 months but found it easier and cheaper to just eat clean 5-6 times a day. But I struggle everyday with the sugars. Fast food is also hard, but so far so good.

Oh yeah, Linda, I am definately a peanut butter addict, so don't feel bad. I feel your pain, especially on a nicely toasted english muffin. Even if it is natural pb on whole wheat (ok now I want some) it still catches up with me:9

I did UB and LB taebo today. It was a great workout, but now I think maybe I want to do another light workout, maybe just go for a walk, to fend off the (thanks to Linda) peanut butter craving:p

It sounds like everyone is doing a really great job!!!

One week down, phewww, only 7 more to go...

Carrie

Nancy, its hard to say. How much weight do you need to lose? Just 10 lbs? I signed up even though I somewhat new how the program ran but I needed to dish out some money in order to stick to it. Plus, with nursing I didn't know how many calories I should be eating and how low I could go without hurting my milk supply.
It was $80 something for 3 monthes or $60 something for one month. I went with 3 monthes b/c I new it was going to take me longer then one month to lose 20 lbs. My membership is up in a couple of weeks and I am not sure if Im gonna renew it. I only have a couple of pounds to go and I think I can do that on my own now that I have the foundation.

If I were struggling with 10 lbs for a while, I think I might sign up. But if you are short on cash and think you can do it on your own , then try that. Or maybe just eat 2 bowls of soup instead of 3;)

Lori:)

Lori, you're funny!! "Eat 2 bowls instead of 3." You're so right though, lol. It's really all about portions because I usually eat OK. (except today when I ate all of those honey balls, lol)

I think you have a good point though. If I was paying for it, I'd probably lose. And, yeah, I have this 10 lbs. on for a year, at least. I have the money so I should just do it. Just one more question....I'm pretty stupid when it comes to some of these sites like sparkpeople, fitday, etc. Is WW easier to do? Okay, I promise - that's the last question!!!

Thanks again - Nancy:)

This was my original post this morning... Carrie & I started the post at the same time:

Hi All,

I thought I would start today's check-in.. I am on day 4 and counting. I find that the old eating every 3 hours with protein and a good carb really works. I have not even thought about sugar which is my downfall. Today I did the I-Train 40 min treadmill workout.

Let's all have a "sugar free" day!

Deb

Yeah, it is pretty easy. You get to choose the core program or the flex plan. The flex plan gives you 35 extra points to spend a week, you can eat the points all in one day or you can spread them out over the week (just in case you didn't know b/c I know its changed from a few yrs ago) You can also change at the beginning of the week to the other program but you can't change mid week.
I don't hang out there and chat much. I just go there, log in, go to points tracker and track my points and I weigh every Sat or Sun,depending on what I am doing that weekend. There is also a little tool there where you can put in cals, fiber, and fat and it will give you the point value and you can just add that in the point tracker yourself instead of looking food up. Im sure there are alot of things about the site that I don't know but I just do what I paid for.
What is a honeyball? Sounds good whatever it is!
I don't mind answering your questions...ask away.

Lori:)
