Cathlete
Good morning, ladies.

and

OH

MY

WORD!!!!!!!!!!!

I just showered after my workout and the stairs coming down were causing me some muscle chatter already! LOL Disc 17 Legs is done, plus the extended stretch (which I AM LOVING). WOW! I love those tri-sets. They're short enough for you to power thru them mentally, long and heavy enough to feel the work, and all put together they're fun enough to get you thru the entire workout before you even know it! You guys are going to LOVE those tri sets!!!!!

When the kids get on the bus, I'll make a few comments to some posts yesterday/last night.

We were at baseball practice last night and while younger DS was on the field with his team, my older DS and I were in the outfield. I was hitting a racquetball with a racquet to him and he was chasing them down, diving for them, catching, etc. It was a blast and the other siblings on the sidelines were joining us. DS was all sweaty from the running (see? Mom gives him a run for his money!) Just as a side note, I always keep our racquetball racquets and balls in the trunk, plus a playground bouncy ball and some other fun stuff for nights just like last night. It kept the kids busy, kept ME warm in the cool air, and I wasn't just sitting on my butt! lol

OK.....have to dry my hair and get the kids fed! I'll BB after the bus!

Good morning!!
I will try to catch up with everyone later I haven't had much computer time lately I am quickly checking in on my Iphone.. It's kind of hard to type.. Tonight it is disc 13 (second week) I am lovin meso 2. I am bummed my disc 14 had a scratch so I have to email customer service. It was such a pain it would stop and go back to the beginning right in the middle of the elevated lunges. I am going back to read the posts from the last few days!!
Hope everyone has a great day!

Tracy

Tracy-would you like me to OVERNIGHT my disc 14 so you have it for your repeat week??? You can have it in 24 hours, if you'd like. Let me know.

Gayle

Gayle I do love those trisets!

Might not be around much today, back to work after a 4day holiday weekend and then our new Santa Fe has arrived! So we will pick it up after supper. need to shovel the snow off the rest of the driveway so hopefully can fit all three vehicles on the driveway. We have to sell the old minivan, sometime soon. The kids are so excited!
It's my recovery day and I sure need it! Will also try and watch TBL tonight! Kim

GOOD MORNING ALL YOU 6 MONTHERS!!!!

My workday has begun, but I just wanted to say "Good Morning" and I will post later when I have more time. Jo-My work week is much better this week. I'm forfeiting my lunches because I'm back to picking DS up from track practice after school. He was on spring break last week, so I had a little break. I won't be able to post until after I get home from work, but that doesn't mean I can't sneak a quick peek every now & then :p:p:p.

P.S. - MY SHOULDER FELT GREAT THIS MORNING :D:D:D. I did disc 10 (chest, shoulder & bi's) and I was able to do all my 70% except for the shoulder dropsets. I had to lower last week because the weight was just to heavy, and I had to do the same this week, but I was able to squeak out a few more reps than before

Hey guys! Power went out while I was out at the busstop and it just came on. So I don't have much time.

Tracy, I PM'd you back, making sure I know your last name! LOL I assume it's your screen name, but you never know! LOL

Gotta scoot, the power outage took up my free PC time, sorry! But I got a lot of stuff done around the house! LOL BBL after school/work!

Gayle

Hi Guys,

Yep, the DOMS have arrived! lol! Very deceptive workout! I was doing the warmup for body max2 cardio time saver, you know where after the warmup she does some heel taps on the step and then moves into arms over your head then down to do the hamstrings? Well, the chest muscles were definitely feeling the up portion of that move! And interestingly enough I have DOMs in the back portion of my shoulders. I thought I might have them on the round shoulder part, but it's mostly in the back.... Interesting. And of course the triceps are telling me they are there, which I expected.

Gayle, I know I am going to love the trisets for legs! I can't wait! I gotta keep in mind to have some rackets or something in my car for situations like yours. That was a great thing to do with your son! And how nice of you to lend your disk 14 to Tracy!

Jo, thanks for posting your meals! I haven't planned my meals for a few days and just done them as they come, I did well, but it is nice when it's all set before the day starts! so I'm going to try this again by posting as well.
I just realized after having my breakfast, that today is a maintenance level meal day for me, so I shorted myself on the breakfast by 100 cals, but that will be an easy one to make up with some nuts in my salad later!

meal 1 chocolate EAS -banana shake , 1/3 cup oatmeal
meal 2 greek yoghurt, blueberries, almonds, 1/3 cup oatmeal
meal 3 big salad with veggies, nuts, salmon patty
meal 4 leftover clean eggwhite/smoked salmon salad with tomatoes
meal 5 extra lean beef burger with healthy sauteed onions and mushrooms, and side of mixed veggies

We had a chicken stir fry yesterday and I topped it with Cashews. Yum! My husband loves cashews, when he went back for seconds, he tossed on a lot, like about 300 cals worth.... yikes! When I told him, he looked at it and went: no way! I think he is starting to see why I measure my food, especially the healty high calorie foods....:)

My son has a morning play date (it's his spring break) and I have to run and do some grocery shopping, including a bunch of stuff for teacher appreciation week.
We read the boxcar children a while ago and my son loved it so much I ended up geetting the series. Now that he's on break, he sits at the table coloring while begging me to read to him 'just one more chapter':) It is so much fun! I love it when I can get him so immersed in a book that he doesn't even care about watching movies! So that is what we will be doing this afernoon....

I just finished my workout with my trainer. We did chest, bis and shoulders. I will be sore tomorrow. Biceps were tough too. Shoulders not so much.

I have to say I had a harder time yesterday with the candy than I did on Sunday. I snuck 3 peanut M&M's. Which I know isn't bad, but I also have a tendency to have it snowball on me. But I know you girls will keep me in line.;)

Gayle-thanks for the tip with the racketballs. My boys would enjoy that. My youngest son has his first game tonight and my older one's first was last night. It was so cold!! When is the spring going to arrive?!?!
Are you planning on meeting for lunch in June in Cape May. I am really going to figure out a way to get there. I was thinking of staying the night and taking Cathe's class on Monday.

Jo- I will do legs on friday. Then I am going on a retreat for the weekend. I am excited and scared, because it is a therapy retreat. But I do have a massage scheduled for Saturday afternoon.:D Hopefully it will be nice out and I can go for some walks. It is upstate NY in the catskills.

Cendrine- I try to read to my kids most nights. My youngest is into Geronimo Stilton-the mouse and my older one likes Diary of a Wimpy Kid. What age is the boxcar series geared for? Maybe I will try them.
I love cashews too. Actually any kind of nut or nut butter. Yes its easy to overeat them. Definitely a trigger food for me.

Mary- I am glad your shoulder is feeling better and you were able to get through your workout.

Kim- congrats on your new car. i can't believe you are shoveling snow still. If the warm weather doesn't get here soon, I think I will go nuts.

Tracy- Sorry about the disc. It is so nice for Gayle to send you hers. She is awesome. I have problems with my discs stopping for a sec or 2 and then continuing. It is annoying especially the cardio DVDs. Anyone else have that problem?

Have a great day everyone and sorry if I missed anyone.
chrissy

Chrissy-Yes, I am planning on doing the Cape May luncheon in June. The boys and I will be staying over as well, I'm just not sure if we'll stay in Cape May at Jerry's hotel or in Wildwood at Ellie's beach house again. We can always split a room if we decide to stay at the hotel in Cape May. Whatever works (and is cheap)!

Tracy-be on the lookout for that disc tomorrow. USPS promises it will be there by 3pm tomorrow!

Sorry to hit and run......getting things done around the house!

Hi Everybody,

DS and I just got home from a track meeting for the parents that DS forgot to tell me about until this morning. It lasted until 7:00 and we just got home. I'm very tired, so I think I'm going to say HAVE A WONDERFUL EVENING LADIES. I just don't have the umph to say much more than that. I'm never at a loss for words, so I will have double to say tomorrow :p:p.

STAY STRONG IN BODY AND DETERMINATION...

GOOD NIGHT~~~~~~

Mary

Good Evening Everyone!!! DD had her first t ball practice tonight. She is the only girl on the team! She is a true girly girl but she loves to be strong and beautiful. DS has a report due tomorrow and a test and a project! So it is crazy today. I am managing to eat clean but definetly not enough!! I lose my appeite so easily around my STBX.

Disc 11 for the second time tomorrow! Mary are you with me??? I blew off disc 12 last week. I wonder why my legs are like Jello....

I am really lokking foward to my rest week.

I have read so many different opinions on how often abs should be worked. Would love to hear everyone's input! Gosh, this forum thing sure is great isn't it?

Chrissy where in NY do you live? I grew up there.

Good night ladies. Although I will come read some more before bedtime.

julie

Julie- Good luck with all those projects your son has. I live in Deer Park, Long Island. I grew up in Patchogue. Where did you grow up? I see you are from mass. I have cousins who live in Natick, Holliston and Sherborn.

Chrissy,

I grew up in Long Beach. I lived there until I was 17 and went away to college. I have lived in MA since, however I get back to Long Beach at least 12 times a year. I really love NY and in a lot of ways wish I never left. Maybe we could meet for coffee sometime.

Hi All!

just a quick hello. We are having a wonderful time for spring break! I have missed having time with my son, I was used to having him all the time when I homeschooled him. This year is his first year at public school.

My son has expressed interest in buying a coconut and discovering it... So I was at the grocery store and saw one, decided to bring it home and have at it. We couldn't find my husband's hammer and he was in a meeting, so we had to imporvise.... The kids were fascinated to see the coconut milk trickle out and then excited when we cracked it open to see the white flesh. They hovered around me in the kitchen, getting the milk in the blender, adding the coconut and some pineapple to make our very own pinacolada smoothie.... That was their lunch. DS was in heaven:)

Then we made a yummy healthy muffin, the recipe on the back of one of those soyflour bags, it sounded so good dh wanted me to try it. So DS got to help measure and mix and taste. Except for the little amount of sugar that could easily be substituted with something better, the ingredients are all clean and it makes for a really good breakfast muffin (mind you, I didn't taste it, wasn't on my plan) But everyone else just devoured theirs for dessert tonight!

So after the fun read aloud time, the games and the experimenting and cooking, he announced that he didn't want to go to first grade in public school but wanted to be homeschooled again....:) I guess I would too after a fun day like this. :rolleyes:He didn't change his mind when I told him there would be worksheets and the like as well on normal days. We'll see how long that lasts... I was planning on homeschooling his little sister next year letting ps take care of ds. But I kind of like the idea of having him back. We'll have to think about it for a while.

Chrissy, the boxcar children series was recommended as a read aloud for the kindergarten/first grade level in the homeschool curriculum I was using last year. The children in the book are appr 5,8,10 and 12, I think. It's a very enjoyable read even for me. I got the boxed set for a good price on amazon. How old are your children again? I will have to check out the titles your kids like, we are always looking for more books!

Still got good doms from disk 13 and starting 14 tomorrow!

Hi All My Fabulous Friends! :D:D

Sorry I missed you all today...I have clients in and just got home from work. A couple of quickies: I got up VERY early and did Disc 14. I tried out my weighted vest (just cuz) - it works really well! I'm glad I bought it. Hopefully I can catch up tomorrow! Hope you all had a great day!

Jo :p:D:eek:
