Good morning everybody!

Rachel, I bought a new blender about 3 months ago when I got tired of trying to mix and match the pieces of all 4 different blenders/mixers/processors that I had. I LOVE the one I have now....I'll have to check the brand and make for you.

FRIDAY!

WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!

I'm feeling 100% better now that I have a complete day of de-bloating behind me! I just got done with today's workout, my LAST OFFICIAL workout to close out Meso 2. I did Step Blast, and the abs and stretch from SJ&P. I'm a sweaty mess!

Today is our school's Memorial Day Program, and since the PTA runs it (of course, what DON'T we run) I have to be there early with the kids. It's really a nice program where we invite local veterans to come....we have several guest speakers and the kids sing patriotic songs. So I'm headed to the school early. Then from 3-4:30 older DS has his first basketball practice for the summer league. And yes, although he can't play, we're still going. lol THEN.....nothing tonight. I think we'll try to hit the greenhouse for veggies plants and seeds. I'll BBL after the practice!

STAY CLEAN!!!! Let's go into the weekend ON FIRE!

Good Morning Ladies!

Well another night and no sleep for me! Went to bed at midnight and I got up at 2am and have been up since. I decided to start working out at 4am. I did disc 15 for the first and last time. I was planning on doing some cardio but with just two hours sleep I could not do it.

We are telling the kids today that we are getting divorced. My STBX is still so clueless and has no idea. Last week he asked our 10 year old asmatic son to help him tear down a shower that is being torn down becasue of mold in the walls. I told him it was not a good idea and in fact a very bad idea between the dust and the mold for our kid to be involved in the project. He would not listen and I actually had to call DS pulmonologist to "ask". I am pretty sure the doctor thinks STBX is an IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and probably me too, since I married him!!! The doctor is putting it in writting so I can "prove" it to STBX, because right now he thinks I am just trying to keep our son from spending time with him. When really I just don't want DS to spend a few days in hospital because of it. Afterall, he has only had about 10 different overnight stays in the hospital because of his asthma, why not go for a dozen??? I think this is me sounding mean and nasty. But really...WTH?? Okay enough of that rant.

Oh, Julie. He IS AN IDIOT!!! How blind people can be when they only see things from THEIR perspective! FRUSTRATING, and I'm sorry you're dealing with this knucklehead. Where is the divorce at right now, as in what's the next step or what are we waiting on (the court, the lawyers, etc)? Sorry if that's a nosey question!

Real quick....I'm headed out the door. Just wanted to add that I've got my cooler packed to get me thru my next 2 meals. I ALMOST grabbed a bar to put in there for ease, but I stuck it back in the pantry because I want to keep my promise to myself this week....no bars or shakes!

Later!

Gayle

First of all lot of (HUGS)) to Julie. My son is quite a severe asthmatic as well (also has had many overnight stays) so I quite agree with you that the shower idea is not a good one!! How frustrating for you! Good luck with telling the kids today I'm sure that is going to be so hard for you.

Good job on finished MESO 2 strong, Gayle!!!!!

This crazy week is getting a little better for me. Today I'm going on a field trip to the farm with the grade 2 and 3 students. (in the rain) then taking dd to piano lessons while DH does ds's hockey game. But we should all be home by 7 and plan to have a relaxing family movie night after such a crazy busy week.

Gayle, I'm excited about planting my garden this weekend as well. This is my first ever garden:D:D:D My house is such a mess after being away all last weekend then out every day this week so I see massive lots of cleaning in the forecast.

I've done pretty well keeping up with workouts even while away and busy. I did miss one cardio workout but figure we were very active at the cottage, take out the paddleboats, long walks that I broke even:eek::eek: Today I'm resting and then tomorrow I start disc #22 for the first time.

Should have some time between the farm trip and the piano lessons to sit down and read some of the post from the last week to catch up with you all but right now I have to wake up the kids for school.

Good morning ladies!
I know I said the job was starting on Thurs. But again when we got there yesterday there were more issues that needed to be addressed. We have one hell of a year coming at us though when all this stuff hits. The company we sub contract from has bid two jobs that are now going to overlap each other due to these delays. They have aton of subs but DH is the only one that can do this particular method of flooring and so I think they are screwed! He warned them that he thought this might happen so now what can you do!

So needless to say i had plenty of time to get in a good long workout but like Cendrine said yesterday, my energy has been kind of low when I get up too. So I thought I would get in there and just see what I could do. I started out with KPC, the kicking and punching premix for a little lower impact. Then when I got finished I felt like I had more to give so then I stared the kicking and blocking premix. That one is so fun it gave me renewed energy. I did not get throught the whole thing but I did get about 1 hr and 20 mins total with abs. I felt like I left it all in the workout room when I was done, which is always and accomplished feeling for me! Tomorrow is disc 21 2nd week, so I am looking forward to my next batch of sts staring next tuesday. Love it!

I forgot too, thanks to that extra long post last night I was able to avoid the snacking that my body was screaming for. Again, you girls saved me without even trying! Thank you.

I will BBL for personals.

Rachel

Good Day Girlfriends!
Quick note. My company came last night. Since they had things to do I am at work (leaving early though). I got up early and did Cardio Fusion All Step and felt really good! The weather here is awesome! It always rains on Memorial Day weekend so the fact that we have forcasted weather in the 70's is U N B E L I E V A B L E!!!

Rachel, I'm glad you're being a good girl! Loved you post last night! :D

Gayle, you're behaving too I see! Keep it up! :p

Kim, you had plenty of exercise so don't worry about that missed cardio! :D

Julie, you are in my thoughts today and I'm sending you postive energy. Sounds like STBX is missing some common sense!

Hello to everyone else! I'm looking forward to a FUN FUN FUN weekend! :D

Well I survived the farm. I have to say that I COULD NEVER BE A TEACHER they have the patience of saints. I love spending time with my kids but other people's kids drive me crazy after awhile. A couple of hours is fine but the whole day is too much.

I sat here with my coffee and had a chance to read all the posts that I missed while away last weekend and during my week of insanity. I've decided to put a notebook beside the computer to jot down some of the great recipes you ladies post. I'm terrible for just cooking the same old things over and over.

Gayle That was so nice of your mom to share all those old pics. It'll be great for you to get them into a scrapbook! Congrats on your weight loss and getting so close to your goal! How did the pedicure go? Did you get a picture on your nail? I usually get a flower on the big toenail. Good luck on the 5k this weekend, who are you running with??

Rachael- Goodness on the dog and rabbits. I've had that experience with my dogs before and it's always shocking when your little cuddly pet kills something:confused::confused: This weekend at the lake we saw a fox carrying a dead rabbit in it's mouth. Yuck!
Had to LOL on your DH/cat singing maybe you need to post that on youtube. Sounds like you will have less time for singing next week. I know that you told me before but (I need to hear it twice for it to sink in ;)) what do you and DH do? I take it you work together. Has your DH recovered from his STS experience? Has he tried another workout yet??

Chrissy I laughed at you doing the warm up three times one day before disc 20. I've never thought of doing that. What is carvel?? CONGRATS on 13 lbs down!!!! WTG on the 5k!

Mary So you're impressing your DH with those biceps are you! Does your ds marching band practice during the summertime? WTG on those capris being too big, time to hit the stores for some new summer clothes! Enjoy that 4 day weekend!!!!

Julie How did it go today with the kids? Are you able to eat solid foods yet?

Cendrien Those kids must be fishs by now ;);) Sounds like they're sure enjoying the swimming. My coworker left today for California, she was sure looking forward to the heat! Congrats to your ds on his planned baptism, sounds like a very mature young man! It sounds like we may go to similar churches, ours is a pentecostal church.

Jp I'm glad that you had a nice visit with your mom and now a visit from your friends. And good weather on top of that! We had fun at the cottage. We used the new SUV and the new tent trailer. A little cool sleeping in the camper with the snow the first night even with the heater on!

Just realized the time, got to run to piano lessons :rolleyes:

Hey guys. Just a quick post as I sit here, enjoying my salad with FRESH FARM greens, a can of tuna and EVOO. YUMMY! Can't stay to chat, sorry. Kids are out front, with our large chalk board with "HONK" written on it, and they're signalling with their arms to HONK their horns. They are marking down each time somebody honks and they're shooting for 1,000 by Sunday night. Gotta go supervise!!!!

Gayle

DS school had friday off so after doing disk 21 bright and early, dh and I packed up the kids and went to spend the day at Disneyland. It was a great day, and I also managed to stay with your May 25 challenge! It was hard when the kids were having trouble finishing their strawberry icecream, but I made it!

Mary, thanks so much for your encouragement about taking the rest my body needs, that was, I think, what I needed to hear! So thanks!

I think I will get the stretch max (still enough time to get here in time for rest week) and do walks with the kids like you suggested.

Rachel, I don't have a clue what a hummingbird cake is?LOL! But I am curious! What are the regular ingredients for it and I'll let you know how I would modify it.

Gayle, congrats on finishing Meso 2! I can't beleive I'm only 2 weeks away from it myself! Wow, does time fly!
what veggies did you guys get? DH and I have decided that with all the produce we go through, it's time to start a compost in our back yard to help revive our soil for some homegrown veggies...I think I definitely want zucchinia and tomatoes, not sure what else. I pretty much love any veggie.

Julie, good job for putting your foot down concerning your son and his asthma! I'm thinking of you today. How did the news go over with the kids?

Kim, I'm glad you are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and yeah, no worries about missed cardio, that weekend sounds quite active! It sounds like you were able to resist getting sick with the rest of your fam, that's a relief, isn't it?
Enjoy planting your garden! What are you planning on planting?
I feel the same way you do about other people's kids sometimes. I can spend lots of time with kids when they are 'trained' my way....LOL! But when I don't work with them on a regular basis, two hours is about as much as I want to handle.... Not all that good on the patient side here.

Gotta go, talk to you all tomorrow!

Thank you everyone for all your kind thoughts and words. Today went as well as can be expected. I am completely exhausted. I am looking forward to tomorrows workout. I am going to do cardio on the elipse while watching the biggest loser!! Then an ab workout. I am so pumped right now to get in shape. I hung some pics up on my mirror of my goals and that is really keeping me motivated!
