Ok So we are almost alumni right!
I promise I will read over everypost today when I get home from work and get totally caught up. We are just slammed at work now and itprobably will be this way for at least the next 6 weeks. It is the last day of my recovery week and I have enjoyed it but am ready for next. I think I was on you no shake challenge without knowin it because I don't ever have them on recovery week. I just stick to my steel cut oats with berries for breakfast.
I have done well with my eating. Even though we are getting home late I still eat something. Thanks to yall I have been filling my freezer things and this wek I think I am going to try to make a turkey chili tomorrow ( I know its summer). I just like a range of different tasting things in there to choose from.

Gayle I was going to ask , I know you have said this before but am I right in remembering that you salsa chicken wraps are just salsa and chicken in the crockpot...I am looking for something that I can premake for lunch next week so all I have to do is grab it and go out of the fridge!

I promise I will do personals tomorrow!

One last post before we leave on holidays. Just going to the cottage with the kids, sister and my mom. My DH and BIL will come for the weekend and then head home for work. Will probably come home around Wednesday, just depending on the weather, what the kids want. I've booked dentist/doctor's appts for Friday for the kids so have to be home by then.

Rachael Do not stress about keeping up with all the posts while you're so busy just do what you can. Hopefully you get a little down time this weekend.

Jo. Glad to hear that STS is still effective, the second time through! We have had cold/raining weather for the last couple of weeks but it's sunny and warm today (21C so not really hot) so hopefully will be nice at the lake,

Cendrien LOL at the no rests for the circuits workouts. Changing things up always makes a differece.

Measureoak Good luck on that last week of STS!

Gayle I'm glad that you got to sleep in yesterday, everybody needs that.
You asked about my plan, this is what I'm thinking. This is my plan:

August -mid Oct CLX
Oct-Jan 3 month rotation of STS with new cardio
Jan-Feb Insanity
March start marathon training for a June marathon

I was going to do the June rotation but my friend, MommaPew, lent me CLX so I'm going to give it a try.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Kim, ENJOY yourself away!!!!! I like the looks of your future plans and I kind of LOL because I change my mind so often that I can't plan beyond 3 months (the 6 month STS rotation was a HUGE step for me, lol)! ENJOY YOURSELF!

Rachel, yes, I make Salsa Chicken wraps by putting chicken and salsa in the crockpot. Then shred the chicken (sometimes I put the shredded chicken back in with the salsa and juices, other times not), then wrap into low-carb wraps and wrap in plastic wrap. Sometimes I zap these in the microwave for 30 seconds, but in a hurry I just grab them COLD and go. PERFECT for on-the-go!!!

I chose Disc 1 this AM! LOL Last night, I printed off cards for disc 16 and disc 1 and this morning Disc 1 was enticing me in a very manly, romantic voice, "Come on, Gayle, you KNOW you want ME this morning"! ;) WOW! It was fun, and not as rushed as I remembered it being, so I was pleased about that. It did move quickly, but I didn't have to pause or start later than Cathe. Weights were pretty on target and push ups were all on toes with the exception of the staggered pushups at the end....those always get me no matter WHERE in the program then pop up! lol Good workout.

Today is Nazareth day in, well, my town of Nazareth! :p DS is still sleeping, so I'm going to shower and when we're all up and ready we're going to park at my parents' house and walk the block to the park; I grew up in the development/neighborhood that is part of the town park. I'll grab lunch for the kids there and then DS has a 3pm basketball game. Fireworks for the town celebration are tonight so we're going to that as well. THEN, our trip to the fireworks place yesterday, well, I just couldn't control myself so I bought $75 worth of home fireworks for the kids tonight! LOL

OK....gotta scoot.

HI everyone!!

I finished my class last night. My final was sooooo hard and long. Hopefully I did okay. Today we are having a big party at my house. I turned 40 in april and my BIL turns 40 in oct so we are having a dual 40TH in the middle. I have frozen mudslides going...they were actually going last night so I had a couple last night. OMG so good. It will not be a healthy low fat day but I have been waiting for this party. I wish you all could come over and have some drinks with me. :p. But not too worry I will have a drink for each and every one of you;).

We just finished setting up now I have to wait patiently for the guests to arrive.

I just got insanity in the mail today so I think I will do an insanity/STS rotation starting monday.

I have to go. Husband is waiting for me.

Hi Everyone!

I did Imax 2 this morning, then made my family breakfast, then I had to get going on my daughter's birthday cake, it is kind of involved because of the decorations, but it's done as far as it can, the rest I have to do before guests arrive. Keep me accountable, remember, I am only going to have one slice, and no seconds later if there are leftovers. (I purposely made the cake on the smallish side, so I would hopefully not get tempted because most would be eaten...LOL!
Then I cooked up three different kinds of crustless quiches to keep my breakfasts going without the time commitment of cooking eggs every morning. I like veggies with my breakfast, but it just takes that much more time to prepare, thus the quiche. One flavor is broccoli, bell pepper, tomato, onion, the other is mushroom, onion, spinach and lentils, and the third is nitrite free sausage with zucchini and onion. Yum! I can't wait to try them all. DH announced that he wanted to eat them for breakfast too, which of course means they go twice as fast, so I made quadruple the recipe and am freezing the portioned sizes. I should be good for a while...LOL! What a production! But the house smells super good and I know I'm gonna be eating real food for breakfast for a while.

Still have to go clean the house and mop the floor, but at least all the cooking is out of the way!

Chrissy, enjoy your party, have my drink for me and don't worry about anything, you only turn 40 once.

Kim, I know you will be gone by now, but have fun at the cottage. Is insanity a cardio program? I think I will google it and see what it is.

Galye, LOL on the fireworks! I have a bad habit of doing the same thing. However, our city does not allow fireworks, so there goes that...
Glad to hear disk 1 didn't feel as rushed, I was hoping the same for when I do it next.

Rachel, awesome job on keeping your diet going so well in the midst of your crazy schedule! I am very impressed! So what are you doing for workouts now? I don't think you had made up your mind last time you posted...

Hi Jo, Hi measuredoak, Hi Julie. Oh, and Hi Mary, if you are reading, we sure miss you around here! How's your sts journey going?

Hello Ladies!!!

Today I did disc 27, m3 w2 for the second go around. DD asked me where I got my shoulders from. LOL. These compliments are making me laugh because really I have arms like Olive Oil! I think my bicep measures 8 inches around.

Chrissy, You got Insanity!!! I so want to do it. The people in the ad look like they are in amazing shape! What is the insanity sts rotation?

Rach, p90x is coming soon, I swear!

Gayle, You have so many recipies that sound so yummy. Do you have one for pickeled beets? How long do you cook the chix for? Is it a whole chicken? BTW I completely forgot about the challenge I comiitted t. LOL

Cendrine, Jo, Mary, Kim and Measuredoak hi to all opf you.

Hi Everyone...well I'm really late getting on but...

Started the day with a migraine (4 a.m.) which totally blew my day since I had it all planned for cleaning for my CA company coming. Anyway, I was in bed until noon and finally got rid of the headache. But, I had to pass on my CCV8 workout as I had everyone lined up to clean house (I had wanted to have worked out and be cleaning by 10.) My stepson was waiting as he wanted to go hiking after cleaning so anyway, skipped the workout. So you wonder why they don't clean anyway...the noise...I can't handle any noise when my headache is bad and our room is over the kitchen (who thought of that design!). So we started cleaning about 12:30. Got tons done but will have to finish in the morning. DH and I had to make a trip to Costco too.

Rachel, just post when you can - we love to hear from you but know you're busy! And thumbs up to you on your eating!

I'm proud of you!

Kim, I hope you have a fantastic time! I know you're already gone! I have a friend who has offered to loan me CLX as well so I'll be anxious to hear if you like it or not!

Gayle, I had a feeling you would go with Disc 1! Glad you enjoyed it! Isn't it fun revisiting these workouts now for the 2nd time?

Chrissy, congrats on finishing your class! I'm sure you did great! I can't wait to hear about Insanity! This does look interesting to me but want to wait for reviews.

Cendrine, what a busy cook you are! I'm so impressed! Cakes and quiches! I'll bet your house smelled wonderful!

Julie, how are things going? Sounds like your moving through M3! Yeah!

Okay, time for bed! Hopefully I won't have a headache tomorrow...today was another weather issue.
