I know it is probably a ghost town around here but here I am!:p
It only took me a few minutes to catch up on the threads since Thursday. Normally it takes me at least half an hour just to go back and check them all out and make notes:D This must mean everyone is out having a great holiday or at least a great weekend, Kim;). DH and I really did not do anything and it was wonderful. It was of course a sweltering 102 yesterday so the last thing I really wanted was to think about being outside. I know I sound like a broken record with this heat thing but it is overwhelming everyday. I think it is about 10 degrees hotter than it is supposed to be so I just can not wait for August...our hottest month!

Yesterday was W3 M3 of bi,tri and shoulders. I am feeling it in the tris pretty good. Not too much in the shoulders or bis even though I feel like I could not add another pound. For the tris though I am absolutely positive I could not add anything. In fact I dropped a # for the overhead ext. I just could not get that weight back up after doing the full bend behind my head! Oh well that is what it is all about. And look here I am more sore in the area I had to drop in weight...Imagine That!

OK I guess I better go and clean something. I am having a little company today and the house needs a good scrubbing and since dh won't be up for a couple of hrs I think I might be able to get something done:D

I was doing meso 3 week 3 bts the day before you and I did surprisingly well. I remember last week I couldn't do the cross over kickbacks on my right arm without forced reps... But this week I was able to do them all! Must have either been a funky day or I got stronger in the week since...LOL!

I'm tackling disk 34 today because I have to work ahead since I'll be gone 3 days during the week. I'm on the home stretch now! I was already looking at other dvds to buy, it's an addictive hobby to have, exercising, and especially getting into doing rotations created by cathe vs my own, I always want the exactd dvds that she lists....

Ok, I'd better run, I hear the kids whispering downstairs and i just wonder what they are up to!

Rachel, what are you doing for recovery week if anything?

Hi Everyone! I have been MIA for a while. I have a ton going on and I have btbx has been working from the house so I have very few opportunities to get online when he is not lurking over my shoulder.


Where is everyone with STS? Gayle you must surely be done by now? right? If I remember correctly you were going to MA to visit your Aunt in Everett in July? Would love to get together to meet. Maybe we could hit a tourist attractyion together.

I ended up blowing off the last 2 week of meso 2 and I think I am going to just pick up with meso 3 tomorrow. My weights broke and I borrowed a friends but the max she had is 12 pounds. So I am not sure what I am going to do for meso 3. MAybe I will just really concentrate on form? It is better than nothing for sure. This will be the perfect time to get some cardio going because I won't be so wiped.

Not too much went on here today. I did some cookin' which you know I love. It was a rest day for me so I did no exercise except clean my dirty house. So I got a good sweat in there. Three weeks of just straightening finally caught up with me.:eek::p

Cendrine- I am not sure what I am going to do for recovery week. But I know for sure I am taking one. Before sts, I never took a recovery week. I did not even know you were supposed to. But I now can definitely see the positives of it. Don't get me wrong...I don't take the week off. I just take the week off from lifting. Normally I try to put in some kind of weightless leg workout and definitely a good kickboxing session to work those arms. Then since I don't stretch as much as I need to I try to put some yoga in there.
I know what you mean about the wanting new videos. I want some of the more circuit weight workouts. Although I have never incorporated any of those type workouts into any sort of rotation, I too want to follow the June rotation in Aug. So I need to set down and see what I need to at least get as close as I can.

Julie- I sent you a pm with my last name. I hope you get it. I am sorry this seems like we are playing thread tag.:) I hate that your weights broke and your sts got out of whack. But maybe you can get back on track with meso 3. As cathe says...You have to do what works for you. At least you are improvising.

OK to all you who are out on vacay, I hope you are having so much fun and getting in plenty of sun exercise.

Tomorrow is w4 plyo. So I am going to hit it out of the park and give it all that I got. Wish me luck!:eek:

I'm doing plyo week 4 tomorrow as well! Should be fun. However I am going to do the one legged squat thrust jumps in two legged modification, because last week, the one legged version threw my pelvis off by half an inch, according to my chiropractor, and I could feel it too....

I like your reasoning behind doing a kickbox workout for recovery, maybe I'll do one of those. I have a tae bo workout that I haven't done in years, maybe I'll pull that one out and get a good sweat...LOL!
the cathe circuit workouts are my first love! I really like cardio and weights, do you have that one? Low impact circuit is another one I really like, and both her high step workouts are great too, lots of variety.

Julie, it's good to hear from you! I hope you are able to do the workouts even if you don't think you are going as heavy because of the dumbell situation. Have fun focusing on the cardio.
