6 Month STS Alumni - week of December 13

I got my shipping notice! Unfortunately my delivery date is 12/29 when I'm gone. Yippeee! and Boohoo! :( but Yippee!!!! :D:D:D

Jo, you are so cute, bohoo but yippee indeed! I wonder when mine will get here...
I will go check out your pics tomorrow, no time today.

Kim I did have time to view yours, it looks like the place was empty. You guys sure picked a good time to go. Your kids look so cute!

Rachel, sorry you are under the weather! Take it easy!

Well I am showered and in my pj's and it is 5:30 on Friday!
I do not feel terrible, I just don't feel good...I refuse to say sick and dh knows this so he has been trying to baby me all day cause he knows how I feel about the "S" word!

So not too much to report...I think I am going to just lay on the couch and recuperate and hopefully be up in the morning and do Low Max...I guess I need to go check my shipping order too!

Jo-Yall are too cute. I love the pic...

Thanks for the wel wishes from everyone....but remember I am not sick...I just am not myself today:p:rolleyes:;)

See yall tomorrow!

Rachel

There's nothing I love better than lounging around the house in my pjs before it's even time to go to bed... Enjoy the downtime and find yourself...LOL

I just viewed the videoclips of travel fit and HiiT, they look awesome! I am so looking forward to doing them!

Your pics are beautiful Jo! Thanks for sharing them. It's so neat to see pictures of everyone.

Work talked me into going in yesterday as there was lots of new patients waiting to be seen. It was quite the day, patients with lots of pain issues, etc. Long hard emotional day! After Thursday's crazy day (baked one lasagana, 2 batches of cupcakes, one casserole, and one cake, visited 2 groceries stores, 5 loads of laundry, one dinner party, one hockey game and one workout), I was exhausted Friday night so it was order pizza night:eek::eek::eek: I just couldn't make supper, oh well, the kids sure enjoyed it.

I was planning on lying on the couch all night but dd talked me into working out. She wanted to workout with me so we did the premix from B & G. Today is supposed to be a premix from LIS, I think. I want to get 3 desserts done this morning and in the freezer for Christmas. Then there is hockey and piano lessons.

Cendrine How did the dress rehearsal go this morning? I love that your kids help bake with you ! Mine do occasionally, I have to admit that I don't always have the patience for their "help"

Rachael Sure hope you're feeling better today. I think your idea of taking a week off before STS is a great idea!

Jo Yippee on the shipping notice! What preorder number were you? I was #70 so I"m sure mine has been shipped, the slow part is the stop at the border. I'm thinking most likely between Christmas and New Year's

Kim

Kim, you most certainly deserved not cooking after all you did on Thursday! Boy, I don't think I would have wanted to spend any more time on my feet either! Too cute, that your daughter talked you into working out! I love that!
I don't have the patience to have little hands help with cookies unless I specifically designate it as kid's cooking or baking day...the gingerbread cookies were definitely planned especially for them. They had a blast decorating them yesterday, they handled the ziploc baggies with icing extremely well and made some creative creations.

Dh gave me the ok to buy the fancy blender I told you all about several months back.... Well, it just so happened that when I was trying to order it last night, the website did an update and I could not check out....:( I was really looking forward to it, it is supposed to be the kind you never have to go push things down in because it has a pull mechanism that sucks the food right down... I'm getting tired of doing that with my current blender. Now today it is too late to order it in time for christmas and I don't want it to sit on our porch for five days. So, am going to have to wait....

Jo, your pictures are great, you guys make a very nice pair! How was the cookie exchange?

Off to the dress rehearsal....

Well nothing too exciting happening here! Yall all sound so busy and here I am wasting so much of the day! I still do not feel 100% but I did 5 intervals of Low Max this morning...The fifth one I should not even count because by body just was not into it any more so I took a cue from Jo the other day and stopped trying and stopped at 5! I am not beating myself up about it though...I figure I can't feel like this forever and the next time I do LowMax I will go all the way!

I really should be doing some Christmas prep but yall all know what a procrastinator I am and how I do so much better under pressure so I guess that is what I am waiting for...Who knows really what I am waiting for...I don't. I guess when I get done here I will try to plan my holiday dinner so I will at least have something to go by as far as grocery shopping goes.

Kim-I finally got to see the pics from disney...I love that your dd has pink hair! So cute!
I am amazed that you got all that done in one day but that sounds like an endeavor that I would try to take on and then of course I have accomplished all these amazing things in one day and dinner is the last thing on my list! So I am there with you and agree with Cendrine...You needed to take a load off!

Cendrine-I hope you can share some pics from the Christmas play. I do miss those sorts of things. It really gets you in the holiday mood!
That sucks about the blender but now at least when all the holidays are over and all the gifts are open , you will have your blender to look forward to!

Jo-I know you are off being busy somewhere...Stay warm!

Oh yea I forgot to say my shipping date is the 23rd!!!!!! I will get to preview over my days off! yippee!

We have a couple of busy weeks of work so I am glad I get to have a few days to look them over!

Rachel

Have a great DAY!

Hi Girls!! (Yes Rachel, you were right! I'm been off busy....) It's 2:46 and I have MY PJ's on! I took a cue from YOU Rachel! LOL! (Besides it's rainy and foggy!) Okay, so I got up, hit the shower (skipped my workout for now), spent two hours addressing the cards, DH stamped them. Then off to the postoffice, hit Costco for last minute gifts (and food of course) and needed more paper (they were OUT!). So went to Rite-aid and got paper and just got home. I'm all DONE! Now I only have to wrap gifts. I woke up with the "I'm on a mission attitude" today. I am never all done early so I'm feeling really good about it. I think it helped that Xmas falls on a Friday. I feel like I had an extra week to get ready.

So my girl at work I'm working with hit 56 lbs lost yesterday! I'm so proud of her! So I bought her a "Biggest Loser" DVD for Xmas (she loves Jiillian). Costco had workout DVD's for 7.99.

Kim, you wore me out reading what you did the other day! My goodness! You are definitely in the WONDER WOMAN category in my book! That was a well earned pizza! :D I went and looked and I was invoice #172. So does it usually take a couple of weeks to get your workouts? How does that work? Glad you like my pictures. I'm going to post some more later.

Rachel, this is a juice I make...but you could probably blend it and it will give you the boost to bring back your energy: 1/2 each red pepper, yellow pepper, orange pepper, 1 orange (or a couple clementines) and some fresh mint. (Worse case, you could eat it! LOL!) You'll probably be back to normal tomorrow. I think sometimes our bodies are just telling us to "back off!" :D:p:cool: I'm jealous you're getting your workouts so soon! LUCKY!

Cendrine, can't wait to hear more about your fancy blender! Too bad you have to wait, but it'll be worth the wait I'm sure! I'm going to have to go look at the clips to get excited again! I sure wish they were getting here sooner but that's the problem with us on the west coast!

Okay, now I need to go get some housework done and start the laundry. I have to say, I'm so happy to be done with those cards! (I hope I didn't miss anyone!)

I'm off track with my workouts and have no idea what I'm going to do now. Of course after Wednesday I won't be getting any done! Actually I'm not going to worry about it. I think maybe I'll spin tomorrow and then do a couple of circuits or something before we leave. I'll let you all know later.

Happy Saturday!

It sounds like quite the snowstorm that Cathe is dealing with, slowing down delivery. DH is watching hockey night in Canada (a saturday tradition around here) and the game is Montreal playing the New York Islanders in New York. They keep talking about the snowstorm and the commentors keep mentioning that most of the fans are Canadians that drove down for the game. The snow has kept away the locals but not the Canadians:rolleyes::rolleyes: Hopefully it wouldn't slow down the STS delivery too much.

I got all my holiday baking done! Today I did butter tarts, turtle cheesecake and a candy cane mousse. All in the freezer. DD and I decided not to go to watch ds's hockey game because it was a really long drive and then dd's piano teacher phoned to cancel her class. So after rushing around all morning to finish the baking and my workout, I ended up having the rest of the day to relax. My workout was a premix from LIC.

The only thing left to do to get ready for Christmas is give the house a good cleaning.

Cendrine That's too bad about the blender. I know I would be very disappointed if I was all excited about a new item and then had to wait. So are you doing much holiday baking to take to the inlaws? Do they do a traditional Christmas dinner? Good luck with the play tomorrow!

Rachael I sure hope you're feeling better soon! Just take it easy, you don't want to be sick for Christmas!! How do you spend the holidays? Will you get to see your new little nephew?
I like dd's pink highlights too, (but Grandma doesn't) it's the second time she's done that. I've been calling her Pinky.

Jo Yippee!! Cards and gifts are done!!!! Do you leave Wednesday for your mom's?? All packages get stopped at the border for inspection and sometimes duty gets charged. This time of year it's going to be slower at the border. Insanity was delivered super quick (?3 days) and I wasn't charged anything. STS took maybe 10 days and I was charged about $30 of duty:rolleyes: So it's hard to know and no way to track it.

Kim, I had to laugh about the snowstorm not keeping away the Canadians, so funny!
I won't be bringing anything to the inlaws baked goods wise. FIL has had two triple bypasses and is on diabetes and colesterol drugs. He does have a sweet tooth but I don't want to be the one getting him in trouble... As far as Christmas dinner goes, it will be fairly traditional, as traditional as you can get with Japanese...LOL I was totally taken by surprise our first Christmas when I saw white Japanese rice instead of mashed potatoes...Lol! But they usually have a turkey and some kind of veggie.
Too bad you have that customs thing going on with orders, that is a pain! I hope because it's a smaller shipment this time, that you won't get charged anything!

Jo, way to go getting all your chrsitmas stuff done! Must feel great!

Rachel, take it easy and relax, no feeling guilty about it either!

The dress rehearsal took forever. the kids were very good about waiting. They looked cute, especially the angels! I will post pics later.
