~~~>6 month alumni checkin-Week of Feb.6<~~~
Wow that yellow kind of hurts the eyes.LOL Maybe I should have just put "sun" in yellow.
We are going to have Seattle weather (of late) today. It is going to be sunny and 55 degrees. A nice change from all last week. I might even drag my camping chair out in the yard and set in the sun and read.:D
So far not too much going on around here. I do have to confess something got into me last night and all I could think of was french fries and hamburgers! So I relented and we went to Chili's and that is exactly what I had!:eek: I never do that so I have no idea what got into me. I had the mushroom swiss burger and it was very good and I ate every bite.hahahahah<---evil laugh to be inserted there! ;)
I gave myself permission to enjoy it since I know I have a lot of work in the near future with the Feb. Rot. Tomorrow it start with CCC followed by 300 walking lunges.:eek: Luckily someone asked for a sub. on that and Cathe gave one. I think front and back lunges. I will have to go look one more time.
I need to go to the grocery store but heard at the restaurant last night that the local grocery stores' isles were bare because the trucks were not able to get in due to so many road closures so I am going to try and make it toill tomorrow and hopefully everything will be back to normal. I guess it is the trickle down effect.
I hope you are all having a great weekend!
Hi Again! Hope everyone is having a happy Sunday! We had to get up and go to a baby blessing for DH's partner this morning so that got me going early. I told DH, I need to get back as quickly as possible as I have to work on my school and work stuff and he said, let's stop at Costco! Ugggh!! :D So it is now going on 12:30 and I'm just getting started. So wanted to pop in and say Hi!
Rachel, I'm glad it's warming up for you! Yep, sounds like you've got a Seattle day for sure! LOL! That yellow is blinding! LOL!!:p;):cool:
Happy February 6! Can you believe it!
I didn't even see the yellow until I read your comment and went back to check what you were talking about.... LOL! Very blinding!
The conference was wonderful, so inspiring and motivating! It was nice to be away and just hang out with others for a couple of days!
Rachel, I'm glad you enjoyed that burger! You are so right, your rotation will more than make up for it! LOL! Tell me how you feel after your 300 walking lunges or whatever sub you end up doing!;)
I'm still in my pjs and we just finished our lunch!:eek: I am not showering because I'm determined to do some form of a workout before! So here's me letting the food settle before I try to get some working out in...
I'm off to bed! It's 9:30 and I am so tired! Our leak is back in the roof so DH has to call the roofer tomorrow. I've worked on school most of the day and then did "work" work during the Super Bowl. I think I'm pretty good for my presentation - about 80% there anyway. I'll finish it up tomorrow. Then I've been back doing homework and now - I'm done!
Cendrine, glad you had a good time at your conference
Rachel, did you sit in the sun?
Kim, you must be exhausted! I'll bet you've been unpacking all weekend!
Hope you all have a good Monday tomorrow!:D
Yes Jo...I did sit in the sun and then a cold front came in and it snowed a little last night. So from 70 to below freezing..lol:rolleyes:
I think I have to work today. Not quite sure but just a quickie to say I started the rotation and did the 300 lunges at the end of CCC. I did not use any weight because I was unsteady still from the intense cardio but I still felt them so I am not too worried about that.
Jo Good luck on your presentation!
CendrineI am so glad you got to spend the weekend with like minded people. It sounds like it went well. What was the main focus of the conference?
Kim-I hope you got to relax a little this weekend and breath in the new house smell.lol Good luck today in JD.
Better go!;)
Sorry about your house, Jo! I'm glad your presentation is almost ready, that must be a relief! With you having been getting on with so little sleep, I'm a little embarrassed to complain, but I had such a bad night! I think the only rem I got was between 5 and 6... I had this really bad stuffy nose thst kept me up all night! :mad: But I decided to get up and do dis 7 anyway, which went well until I tweaked something in my shoulderblade doing pushups...:confused:
Rachel, it's hard to believe you got more snow! Did it stick? Way to go on those walking lunges!
Kim, do you feel a little more settled?
Nope Cendrine, the snow didn't stick but we are supposed to get another bout on Wed night/Early Thurs morn that is supposed to stick again. So most likely we will be at home on Thursday. I am hoping that if it does snow again though it will be late Wed because we have a church that we have been waiting for the carpet to come in on. It is for a small stage and we would love to get it finished but if the weather turns bad early we will have to put it off again.:rolleyes: As you can tell the job we were supposed to go to today was put behind from the bad weather last week so are hoping to go start it tomorrow and then break from it to finish the church and then back to it. Hopefully the weather will allow.:rolleyes:
Cendrine-Sorry about the tweak. I always feel push ups in my shoulder area more than my chest. I am trying to get better at focusing the work to the front but I think I am just not strong enough all the time.
Jo-I hope the roofers fix the leak this time!
Kim-Hope you had a good day.
Nothing much exciting around here. The day in court was pretty intense, things are moving along in the case then the evenings are devoted to unpacking. I spent 5 solid hours cleaning the old house yesterday. I forgot to bring any music with me so it was just me, empty house and cleaning supplies so pretty boring. My back is sore today! Only 3 things left at the old house (Barbie dollhouse, hockey net and patio table). DH hopes to bring one thing home each day, we still have the house till the 12th
Rachael Good job on starting the Feb rotation. I'm starting to think I might wait till the March rotation but I'm going to play it day by day. What weird weather you have been having!! We're back to -30's after a couple of days of warmer weather.
Cendrine Glad you enjoyed the conference! I'm sure it was a nice break. Are you still feeling your shoulder? Hope you sleep better tonight!
Jo How did the presentation go??
Dh gave me a massage on my shoulder area last night, but this morning, I am still feeling it... so,more stretching, heat and massaging...
Kim, I would be sore too if I had cleaned for 5 hours! You are such a hard worker! And all of this on top of Jury duty! Is this your third week of it already?
Rachel, what was on your rotation for the day?
Jo, I hope your presentation went well!
Good Wed.
Sorry no check in yesterday. We had work and then I got busy and ran out of time when I got home.
We are expecting some more nasty weather today. First rain then it is turning to ice and snow later this morning so we are not quite sure yet about today and work. We have to get some carpet to the job and that is hard to do in the rain.
Yesterday was LBB and today was KPC and my legs have been talking ever since I did the 300 lunges.:D
So far so good though...it is Saturday that is going to b the challenge. There are workouts in the morning and afternoon. I am hoping I don't slack on those.
Cendrine-I hope the heat and massage is fixing your tweak. Are taking these days off or are you still continuing the rotation?
Jo-I hope you are getting that much needed day off! How did the presentation go?
Kim-I hope your week is going well. Is the house starting to shape up? How are the kids adjusting to riding the bus?
Better go but I might be back later if the weather keeps acting up. lol
Good morning. I'm sitting at the window watching dd at the end of the street waiting for the school bus. I'm not allowed to walk with her:rolleyes: I did the first day but was told to stand on the other side of the street. There are 8 kids getting on the bus and they are all middle school and I can see them out of the front window so not a really big deal. Some of dd's friends are also on the bus so she loves it! DS decided he was too cool to take the school bus so takes the city bus which goes a little later. After they turn 12, we have to pay for the school bus which is the same price as the city bus so either is fine.
Yes, it's been 3 weeks in trial, I have to say it feels longer! I'm starting to miss work! The Crown is starting with their last witness today and then it's the defence's turn. There is talk that we might be finished early.
More bad weather for you Rachael!! It's still cold here, minus 30/20s hopefully we'll get some warming soon. Good for you for sticking with the rotation, I haven't tried out my new workout area yet maybe the end of this week. Still some unpacking to do so I feel guilty working out instead of unpacking but we have done most of the unpacking. Yesterday I did the grocery shopping and then was lazy sitting on the couch and watching TBL.
Rachel, I'm not surprised that your legs are still sore from all the lunges... ;)
your weather sure is whacky!!!
Kim, your kids are so funny! But I'm glad they both seem to like their new setup for school!
wouldn't that be awesome if the trial was done early?
I'm still working out, but I don't push it. I'm seeing my chiro today, hopefully that will help, but she'll probably also tell me off for getting myself into this place in the first place...:eek:
We had the cub scouts over last night for a bookend making project. The sister of one of the scouts came along and she and dd played dressup,cooking, shopping,etc the whole time... ;)
I had provided valentine cookies and watermelon hearts for snack, and the girls promptly had a tea party :)
Sorry about your day Kim! I hope you can rest and be refreshed tonight!
I'm wiped out. The public school here had what they call Taste of Canyon View (which is the name of the school) What they do is they put up booths of all the countries that any of the students are originally from (I'm sure not all countries were represented) but a lot. They have games from that country, food samples to try, dances and other performances to show the other kids the heritage each brings to this area. It's something they put on every year, and we have been going to hang out and have fun with our friends there. But it is very loud and very crowded and today it was also very windy and hot at the same time... That always makes me tired... So, as much fun as it was (canoli from Italy, full on square meal from Iran, pie and root beer from usa, puff pastry from france, stew with rice from Nigeria, some kind of spring roll and noodles and a sweet semolina something that was purple from the philipines and on and on.... ) I am ready to hit the sack early... LOL!
Remember me???? :D:p:cool::eek:;)
I don't know where to start to catch you guys up...or me catch up with you guys, but...
Presentation went well except we were postponed about 3 hours so ours ran into the next day. Part of the reason everything got messed up was because the President of our parent company had to leave and go back to Toronto because of gallstones! He got really sick while here. Anyway, then we had to go out to dinners two nights in a row...yadda yadda. This put me WAY behind on homework so now I'm trying to get caught up last night and tonight. I got Stat test taken last night but haven't even started a mgmt case study I have to do. A little less than 2 weeks and this session will be OVER! I feel like a lump of coal as I haven't even been able to spin - but MY OH MY am I ever SMART!! LOL! ;)
Kim, I can't believe you've already been in the trial 3 weeks! Hope it does finish up soon for you. I had to laugh about you not being able to walk dd to bus! That's cute! (I missed TBL because of having to go to dinner!)
Cendrine, hot huh? Oh how I wish! It's sunny here today but 40 degrees. Good walking weather though. Ouch on your shoulder!
Rachel, I can't believe your crazy weather! Stay warm and toasty! My leak is not fixed - oh and we have a new problem...mouse in the house!
Because of where we live we usually have a little mouse episode in the fall. They can't get in the house but we catch them in the garage. Anyway, night before last, I heard scraping (loud scraping, scratching) and something is going on in the framing somewhere near our fireplace. No doubt a mouse building a house! Well, I figured that out AFTER I woke DH up to go see what's going on outside. It was 1:00 in the morning. I woke him up because it could have been a bat or a raccoon or coyote or something...I hadn't realized then that it was in the framing. :( So while DH is outside I figured out it was in the framing and then I knew it's a mouse.
Back to work! Miss you guys! As I said, I'm counting down the days...12 days and I'll be done (just with this session)!!!! I'm looking forward to a good workout!
Just stopping by to say Hi...err rather Good Night! :p I missed spinning again but almost completed my paper for mgmt. I've been working on it since 5:30. I'm hoping to work a short day tomorrow and come home and wrap everything up so I can have Saturday to do NOTHING!
Hope you all have a great Friday!
Just popping in.
I am a little late but I didn't want to leave yall hanging again.
We are in full gear work for the next couple of days so I am making this short but I will be back tonight to catch up.
Today was Athletic Step and the Bonus Butt Workout. Owiii! So far I am still alive though!
Yesterday was a short easy day at court we were dismissed just before noon. I went shopping for stuff for the house! Got some decorative vases, nighttable for dd etc. Then came home and since dd was still at school. I unpacked and organized her room:D She wouldn't let me touch it because she wanted to do it but hadn't done anything since we moved. I knew it was way too much for a 10 yr old to do. She was thrilled when she came home and spent the evening playing with all her unpacked toys. Then I did a whole lot of cleaning of the house.
It was the first day that I really felt that I had the time/energy to really enjoy my new house! I sure enjoyed it!
Today the defence starts their case and we have to be there earlier than usual.
Cendrine, sounds like an interesting outing for the kids!
Jo We miss you too!!! I sure hope you get time on Saturday to relax!
Rachael WTG on the rotation. I'm hoping to get back into workouts this weekend. Cleaned up the workout space last night. Not sure what to do, might just do odds and ends and wait for the March rotation. I most likely will be away in a hotel for a couple of days during deliberations so will be hard to stick to a rotation in the next couple of weeks anyways
Jo, good to hear from you, mouse story and all! LOL! We had a mouse a couple of years ago in our garage. Luckily we haven't had any other visitors.... But we do have the occasional racoon walking on our backyard wall. I never knew what raccoons were until I came here and saw one on top of the wall and didn't know what the heck it was...LOL!
I'm counting down the days with you! I can't begin to imagine how tired you must be! But it kind of sounds like you are running on adrenalin, because you sure seem to take it all in stride! I need some of that!
Kim, I'm so glad you got some time to do stuff around the house, and how fun that dd was so excited about her room all done!
Rachel, I hope your job is an easy and enjoyable one! Good job on the workouts! I was so tired this morning that I decided to put in a rest week. My shoulders are just starting to feel normal again and I just feel kind of wiped out. So, thinking that had I been on the 3 month rotation I would have had a rest week a couple of weeks ago, I decided to just throw in one now and not worry about it. It will hopefully help me to regroup and work on my daily routine. It's been getting a bit crazy here and I need to rework the order of how I do things for the day to try to make it less hectic...
The kids and I worked ahead so we have today off, more or less, so running off early to do the groceries for the week. It's dh's birthday tomorrow and I'm making healthy cinnamon rolls for breakfast and a home made light version of a tiramisu, one of dh's favorite desserts for later in the day. But this means lots of time in the kitchen today...;)
