Good morning,

Dh is safely off to Florida where it will be 80 degrees on Wed. and 8 degrees here. Not that I'm jealous.

I have so much work to do in the next week it's not even funny. I should get started.:rolleyes:

Weight was down to 166lb. We'll see what tomorrow brings. I may need to start logging in wo in wo manager. It looks like it might be interesting to compare to others when they get all the bells and whistles done.

Joan yes, it looks like they have some more "work" to do with WM... it's a bit buggy. :rolleyes:

No workout for me today. We are organizing spaces in the house we use for storage today. After a couple of hours of this -- I am planning a yard sale or a BIG truck to come for good will. How do we collect all this stuff? :confused:
 
Jann I did my last yard sale about 5 years ago. At that same time I told people to not get me birthday or Christmas presents. Or at least just flowers. Something that will die and I can throw away. I also stopped magazine subscriptions and instead of buying books I get them from the library. I try to not buy anything that will just add to the accumulation. Except exercise equip.:D

I was just wondering the same thing. I have been cleaning out the attic and moving everything that could potentially be sold into one of my boys bedrooms (he's grown and out)-- the idea being that I could sort and sell---well now I am ready to call the BIG truck-- it is toooo hard! and, I don't know if anything sells in JANUARY...It was far more fun accumulating than ridding...sort of like pounds.
 
Oh, I did a plyomeetrics pilates workout this morning!! Weight is steady at pre-Christmas weight.. Now is the time to cut back and drop a few more pounds!

Congrats, Beth! I think it's quite an accomplishment to maintain your pre-holiday weight during the most challenging season of the year! Good for you!

Ladies, I am constantly getting rid of stuff! I have a load of books I want to sell on eBay, and there are some dvds as well. I try to go through often, because our house is small. Joan, I also stopped my magazine subscriptions. I got tired of having so much paper around. Anyhow, whenever I need motivation to clean, I watch an episode of "Hoarders." :eek: It'll definitely get you going!

We have been busy taking down all the holiday decorations today. Since we were away two weeks, it has taken a couple of days to get over the trip and get started on this little (?) project.

howdy ladies, i'm still alive. just been so busy. hope all are good, hope to be around a bit more. did not workout this weekend, had the g/kids since friday, so i'm a bit fried. gonna try to read the posts i've missed.

We are piling everything into my oldest son's bed room. What a mess it is now. At least I feel like I am burning calories moving, repacking, restoring, separating, and pitching!! :p

I did 2 of the new FirmExpress worouts today. Emily and Kelsie's cardio ones. They are 20 minutes w/o's. I really liked Kelsie's it was kickboxing.
 
I have never liked kickboxing. But that's just me. I spent an hour last night shoveling and getting the first few inches of snow. I did about a half hour this morning. Didn't get the rest of it but I started worrying about my face. I didn't have it covered and it is quite raw. I didn't want to get frostbite. I think we got at least 5 inches total but it is still snowing.

Last night I came in from the cold and ate about 700 extra calories. I'm up 3lb this morning. I think it was just the salt. Of course I ate at midnight. I think I startled the neigbors shoveling their driveway that late at night.

Good morning, Y'All!

Well, I missed workout yesterday, but not really. Because we are hearing that there is going to be a "significant" snow storm beginning later today, and because I needed to get some food in here, I went to the grocery store yesterday. That was a workout in itself. I was exhausted by the time I did that and cleaned up around here some. Anyway, I could not get a lot of the things we needed, so I now have to go back to another store today to try to pick up some of the things they didn't have yesterday. :confused: I hope to squeeze in one of the new Firm Express short ones later.

Magnolia do you have any favorites from the Firm express? My set is missing Kelsie's cardio/sculpt I think it is. I have 2 of her cardio disc's. :confused:

I skipped working out today myself. No real excuse except I just didn't feel like it. :eek: Have a 1000 phone calls to make ++ the snow is coming here also so I figure I'll be shoveling later.

Looks like I have to have my thyroid removed. No getting around it. Next step is to see a surgeon. Good news is the doctor yesterday said from the sonogram it looks contained in the thyroid. :) Maybe this is a blessing, this stupid thyroid could be why I can't lose weight... and fight like the dickens to maintain.
 
Ohh you snow bunnies! I'm a little jealous! I think it would be fun for a change!

Jann- I have two friends that have had thyroid cancer and had it removed completely- both are fine and have been fine for 30 and 15 years respectively. They both take medication that regulates it. Oh- and both are thin:)

Joan- it was probably the salt- I don't think you can gain more that 1/4 pound on those calories!

Magnolia- you are right about The Hoarders--Our house is huge but thAt show always makes me get rid of stuff!

Well- DH and I are going to spin together at 6 so I better get ready!
 
howdy, hope eveyone is ok out there in cyber land. 'bout to freeze down here in texas. toooo cold for me. gonna be in the 20's tonite. i am doing mostly tracie workouts this month, and tried to do the new firm zero in ten, but the 1st two dvd's i got had bad problems, so, today i got my 3rd one and it seems to be working, so gonna try it tomorrow.
 
Jann I'm going to believe that this for the best and you will need a new wardrobe of tiny clothes. I'm glad it seems to be contained.

Cathy I would love 20 degrees. It will get down to 8 degrees with a windchill of 15 below tonight.

My face is still really red. I hope going out in the cold didn't hurt anything.

Magnolia I agree that shopping is a wo. I hope storm isn't too bad. At least our roads are clear now.

DRUM ROLL!!!!! I actually did PushPull tonight. It is a 44 minute total body wo. I am going to alternate it with Supersets-53 minutes. I don't think I have time for 3 days a week if I'm going to try to keep doing 3 miles a day. I'm trying to be realistic with my tax season schedule.

Am I a terrible Grandma that I hope they call off school for a second day?

Jann, a dear friend of mine had thyroid cancer, and she went through the same thing you are. She is doing fine now and is also thin. I think you will do just fine, but I'm still praying for you, okay? I have tried only two of the new Firm Expresses, but I have really been impressed with both of them. I like the fact that they are short, but certainly tough! I only had time to do one of them today, and I did Emily's Cardio & Weights, and I followed that with some stretches for my back.

We got about 12 or 13 inches of snow at our house, but not nearly so bad as the blizzard we had the day after Christmas!

Magnolia, yes prayers are welcome! I am enjoying the firm express cardio. I also like that they are 20 minutes. Especially on days I don't really feel like working out. 20 minutes sounds doable.

I got in a little over 4 miles today and I just finished Supersets. How can I fit in 2 hours twice a week plus 1 hour a day otherwise. I'm making exercise a priority but I am behind on my work? It will only get worse.

Joan, I have that Supersets and Push Pull dvd. Am thinking about doing them in between those Firm Express workouts I am doing. I love these new workouts, but the weight work leaves something to be desired.

I did Emily's cardio this morning. I really liked it and was able to keep up better than the other day when I did the cardio + weights. I am getting back some of my stamina. Maybe it won't take as long as I think.

I didn't work out again today. Got up early to ride along with DH, just got home and can't get into it. ugh -- I hope this phase passes soon!!:confused:
