:D:D Yea Jann's free of cancer:D:D

I wish I could do graphics and there would be a gigantic happy dance.

I just read the news and I am so happy.

I am sick of being this weight and am creeping back up. I'm ready to get serious at least with diet. This last week I have barely had time to walk.

We are taking my son , dil , Elliot and Luke to Disney World on June 8th. That's 16 weeks. So how much could I possibly lose by then?

Joan

Joan,

I feel your pain! But, last year I did a diet that was really extreme but did actually work. I took off 15 or so pounds and they stayed off. It was extreme but only took less than a month and was completely do-able! I will message you if you want.

I did cardio core circuit this am in another attempt to follow the february roatation. I do not like the core work in between the circuits so I modified. Otherwise- I feel good!

We have a marathon running through my neighborhood this am so there is no getting out of here until noon or so. I know I know- why am I not running in it? HAH!

Beth, yes give me the diet plan. I did really well on first ten pounds but when I was within 3lb of 160 I just stopped. I think my mind doesn't believe I can actually get thinner and I go back to eating.

howdy all, now this is what texas winter is all about. 70's and sunny. this deep freeze stuff is for the birds. was outside riding with my adorable granddaughter all weekend. sorry if ya'll are still freezing up there.

been working out, doing mostly tracie's new ones. pre-ordered her newest ones today and ordered the old maximum cardio w/carissa foster. looks like a fun w/out. so, that is my anniversary present today. and, my horse, red, turns 19 today, can't believe it, got him as a 3 yr. old
happy valentines, everyone.

whoa!! june is only 16 wks away. uck, that means super hot weather down here, definitely not ready for that

I asked my younger son if he wanted to come with us to Florida and his answer reminds me of Cathy. Why would anyone want to go to Florida in June. I like the hot weather but I agree I hope it's not too hot. I bet we do lots of walking.

I have not checked the social goup area in probably close to a year and we have had people leave messages there. I hope they join us here. I did invite them.

I will try to post a little more frequently because it does keep me more honest about my eating.

Joan

I have been slacking with my posting as well.

Everyday is the same for me right now, treadmill -- walking.
2 weeks since surgery, feeling pretty darn good! Yesterday I ate a bit more sugar than I should have - Back on track today!

Joan interested in working together on Beth's diet plan? I am up to devoting a month to see some real results.

LOL! my sentiments exactly. if i'm going anywhere in the summer, you can bet it will not be somewhere hotter and more humid than here!

so, what is this diet plan? my dil has started WW again and lost 5# the first week. i may join her in that again. only need to lose maybe 5#.

today is supposed to be break through & the cardio from P90, not feeling too well, so we'll see how it goes.

Hi, Y'All!

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day. Mine was nice.

I only did Body Fusion today. I am feeling sort of run down, and that's about all I could manage. I went a lot heavier on the weight segments, so I got a pretty good workout. I love the new Firms, but they can be awfully rough on the knees, even when you take the low impact option.

I'm a lot like Cathy regarding temperature. I really hate this cold, but I'm not wild about any temperatures above about 75 or 80. I think we are going to have a heat wave here this week--it may get past 40! We are just beginning to see patches of our lawn, which we haven't seen since the morning after Christmas Day!

Take care, everyone, and have a great day.

I just bought the program-$197. I want first big eating days on the weekend.:p

Just let me know when you want to start.

Joan

WHEW! worn out. did power90 cardio 3-4, and BT. not sure why it is 3-4, there is only one workout on the tape. and the sculpt 1-2 & 3-4 look pretty much the same to me. not very exciting workouts IMO. just basic weights. but, the cardio was good to get the HR up. like tracie much better.

Hi you guys! I just got an ipad and I was reading the boards on it but couldn't post anything--I had to wait until I got back home to the computer! I am going to do lower body blast now tha I am home!

Joan-what program did you buy?

I still have a big heart filled with chocolates that I am trying to ignore--because of the sugar!!

Magnolia- I dont have the body fusion- is it one of the lower impacts?

Cathy- you are too skinny to talk to!! 5 pounds-- PLEASE!! (Just kidding!) I guess I need to get a horse?

Jann- I sent you a note!

Morning!

Beth -- Thanks. I guess I do need to give my 1/2 of a thyroid a chance to do it's thing before I try a "diet". I am trying to eat plenty of protein to help with the healing. I have been weighing myself daily. I am gradually just going up a bit every day and my fat % is higher. The doctors said give it a month then they will start testing. I am so tired of this fluff! :(

Magnolia I wish the new Firms would have stuck with the theory they started with. I really dislike the fact they tried to get "cute" with the warm ups. The workouts are good in theory, the instructors just don't seem to get it. Keep the warm up simple. They wasted to much time creating a complex warm on a 20 minute workout. IMO ;)
I wish the old crew would come back and teach the new crew a thing or two. :p

Giving that, I am going to give Emily's cardio a go today. May not be able to do everything, can't remember how much arm movement she has in her workout. Then some treadmill.

How's it going Joan? -- Inquiring minds want to know.... what program did you purchase? :)

Cathy I think the Power90 came and went quickly. Power 90X is where Tony hit his stride. Did you order Tracie's new workouts out this week? If you ordered both you saved $10.00.

I am just going to follow Beth's diet. It was available locally. I hadn't thought but you probably don't want to do anything extreme right now. I expect lots of support when I am starving. Although I will enjoy the first two days.

I was down to 165lb today.

I am taking Elliot for preschool testing this morning and will probably make a day of it.

Joan I am hear for ya

Is 100g = 3 oz.? Beth could you have cauliflower, broccoli or gr beans? They told me not to but that seems strange. I was told 100g of lean beef, chicken but not turkey. and occasionally water packed tuna. I don't care for any other fish. You said 3 oz of veg but they told me unlimited but the list was short. Cabbage, lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes were about all I cared for on the list. Fruit was strawberries, apples and oranges.

Hi, Y'All!

Beth, Body Fusion is on the Basic Step dvd. It's a circuit workout, with intermediate step routines and light weights segments in between. It's a pretty good workout, if you are an intermediate exerciser.

Jann, I know what you mean about those instructors. I also think the newer ones could benefit quite a lot from the more experienced ones. I really liked Susan Harris, Carissa Foster, Nancy Strickland and those girls better. And I guess I miss Anna.

Well, have a great evening, everyone!

I going to do it with you Joan-- I went by there today and now they have drops that dont require a prescription. The food list was bumped up to 700 calories. I fat loaded tonight and I am starting tomorrow-
100 grams is about 3.2 oz- do you have a food scale? I shopped for chicken, fish and turkey breast- cut them right into the proper portion- wrapped in saran individualoly and froze untill needed-- great way to cut your food budget---
As for vegetables- It acutally says to only eat one tyoe at each meal-- but- I have to say- I was 3 days into it on my anniversary- I actually ate the salad bar where we went with no dressing so that I would have something to do while my husband ate-- it worked for me!

Here are some hints--- Waldon Farms makes a calorie free chocolate dipping sauce--- When everyone around you is eating desert-- partially thaw some frozen strawberries and dip them in the chocolate-- it is really good.

There is something called Braggs aminos that is like a soy sauce- it comes in a spray-- spray it on vegetables and salads to give them flavor.
Did you but any protein soups or drinks?

They didn't have any protein soups or drinks. I don't know which one's I could buy. Not supposed to have any additional fat. Calories are closer to 500 if I follow their plan.

I was told to fat load for two days. I will do that Sat. and Sunday. I just made a menu plan for next week and will shop for fruit and veg. I already bought and froze serving size pieces of protein.
