50 and Over- * Tuesday*

Good Morning to all!

Hot and humid here today.. going up to 90! I am glad I excercise in the early am, since we don;t have AC.. it's not so bad in the basement at 4:30 am with a dehumidifier running. Did 20 minutes of Low Max today followed by S&H Back/Core. I still can't do those supine planks.. maybe when I lose a little more weight! I actually lost 1.25 this week. I try to only weigh myself once a week, on Tuesday. I cheated last week and weighed twice.

Rhonda: cute sweater! I can't believe you are knitting in July. You must have AC!

Josie: you are so lucky to have a gym at work! Keep up with the weights! They will help your running stamina I am sure..

Jen: Was outbid on the DVD, but I upped my bid...it ends tonight. Hopefully the other person forgets and lets it slide by! If not, there are more up for bid and I can start over with another one.Timesaver 5 was the only one I actually ever did, so I sold that workout on Ebay. Congratulations on the new grandbaby to come!

Garance: Glad the shot helped! Good for you on the weight loss! Manhattens and Saki! LOL.. what do you eat for breakfast and lunch that lets you cheat a little at dinner, and still lose? we all want to know! LOL

Linny: I bet you are counting down the hours until Friday! Bet those hives go away now!

Cathy: be careful! we may feel like 30 but we really are not! Hope your back feels better.

Good Job Deb with the weight loss. I did LIC and biceps this morning. Hopefully once I stop job I'll up my workout time and lose.

Good morning all:

Air conditioning is a must here. Our summers are very humid. Today it is supposed to go up to 97 with a dew point in the upper 70's. Will feel like 100-105.

Did Cardio Blast premix of BM2. I'm sweating. Showering and going to yoga class. Then will try to get weighed at Weight Watchers. Will spend the rest of the day organizing, cleaning, and doing errands. By August, I know I will be ready to go "back to work."

I knit all year round. I realized lately that I need to update some of my skills, so I am trying all types of new projects. I love knitting! The sweater I am knitting is in cotton. Then I have about 5 projects on the needles.

Cathy, I'm so sorry about your back! I've had back surgery, and know what a drag it is to feel any ache or pain, wondering if that's all it is, or if something full-blown is going to develop.

I envy you living in New Braunfels - that's such beautiful country. My husband and I lived in Austin when we went to UT many moons ago. We still have family in Austin, so go back whenever we can. Those hills speak to me, somehow.

Did Timesaver 5 last night. It seemed fairly easy until Cathe revealed her sadistic side during the abs segment!

Tonight, barring any grandchildren sightings, I'm planning to do Christi's Hi-Low segment of Cardio Collectibles, then Tamilee's 30-Minute Stretch.

Hi, everyone--

Hot and humid here, so I did a fairly light cardio--Kathy Smith's Walk to Lose Weight (in the matrix)and abs. I still managed to work up a sweat because we don't have AC and cannot because of our porous wood.

Hey, Jen--the Manhattan and sake was a going-out-to-dinner cheat, but what I mean by cheating at night is that I have small servings of pasta, rice, potato with my protein and veggies. South Beach lets you have a glass of wine, though. Breakfast today: 2 slices of turkey bacon (70 cals.), two eggs (140 cals.), 6 oz. very pulpy orange juice, and my husband's very strong coffee. For lunch: a big salad with 2 oz. boiled ham, crumbled feta, assorted veggies, and Caesar Delight salad spritzer, a large bowl of raspberries with artificial sweetener, and a small diet coke. This afternoon, I will have string cheese for a snack, and tonight leftover chicken, string beans, a big salad, and a glass of wine. I will probably have my South Beach 30 pistachios later in the evening.

I am really enjoying all of the blog photos. The one of Lorraine is so pretty of her.

I won't be checking in tomorrow. I am headed over to Smith to look at archival materials.

hi ya'll, jen, did ya'll grow up in texas? where are you now?
i did pilates and firm's hip,abs,thighs today. but my back is better, so hopefully can workout tomorrow.

how lucky you are to have your grandbabies near. my son is stationed in delrio right now, so it is not too bad. but, after pilot training there is no telling where he will go.
