50 and over March check in

Good evening ladies,

Still busy but am hoping to find an hour a day. I've started to plan out meals for next week. I need to find armband and start wearing it. New month so I hope to have new ambition.

It's been a rollercoaster of weather. Lots of wind but no tornado. It is supposed to be in the 60's on Tuesday.

Hi, Y'All!

I hope that everyone is well.

My week is off to a roaring start! Was going to do some cardio yesterday, but had to do some errands. Therefore, one thing followed another and it was time to cook dinner before I could even get in a walk. Last night, I got a nasty migraine which hasn't quite gone away yet. It will, though, and I am going to do some workout today!

Talk to y'all later!

Magnolia

Back!

I did Tracie Long's Figure 30 Hips workout. Well, I did it as best I could. I have to learn those moves, they are good ones, I think. It was right for today, because it was short and challenging. Liked it very much.

Have a great day, everyone!

Magnolia, your day (neverending errands) sounds just like what happens to me all too often. Your post made me smile.

I'm still Slim in 6-ing. Today was Shape it up/78 minutes. Woosh. Since I missed a workout yesterday and tomorrow is a SRD, I pushed myself to do one of the longest ones in the series to compensate.

Sending cyber hugs to all you ladies! :D

I thought that even if I didn't exercise I could at least find the time to post. I blink and days have gone by.

Magnolia and Kims you motivate me and it's only about a month until I will have no excuses.

I was looking at (I think) Feb rotation that was for lower body. I hate doing lower body but I need it the most. For now I just need to get walking in once in awhile.

Joan

Hi, Y'All!

Joan, even if you can only get in a good walk, it will always make you feel better mentally and physically. I love walking, but there is no good place to walk where I live. The little town we lived in before had a fantastic park just a short walk from where we lived, and I spent many hours walking there. Hang in there.

I just finished Low Impact Step and the stability ball abs that is on the Basic Step dvd. I like that workout, it's not too long, but it's pretty tough for an intermediate intensity workout.

Jann, Beth & Kim, hope you are all well.

Have a great day, everyone.

HI all! :D

I am home!! We made really good progress with the house. It's ready for the painter, then we can list it. It does look like we will have to go back out for the final sale.

I am jet lagged... whew. I did manage to spend 3 hours outside playing in dirt! I replanted 3 plants. Pulled weeds. Picked up dead stuff so the new plants could come through. It is soooo nice outside. Glad to be home!
I probably won't start working out again until Sunday. Playing catch up around here.

Hi - fives Magnolia and Kim!! I will be joining in soon!
Joan -- The end is near. ;)
Oh -- Beth you around?

Hi ladies!

I was just reading your posts. I have failed miserably at any routine. I'm feelin the "sandwich" squeeze. My kids are all having various issues- all at the sometime. And my father who had a cornea transplant last summer has to have another. It rejected. So I am heading to the Midwest tomorrow I guess I will pack travel fit and my running shoes.

It's motivating to read everyone's posts though.

Be back later!

Hugs Beth! I think we all can relate to the sandwich. :( Stay strong. Stay safe.

No workout for me today. I took Reggie for a walk this morning and plan to do housemax.

Beth -- I forgot to answer you a while back. I have a landscape designer from Meadow Farms. They have location all around south Maryland and Virginia. The gal that does mine really listens to my ideas. I like her. When she comes we talk first, then look at the area and then she gives suggestions. After we agree, she draws a plan and sends it to me. I can either have Meadows do the work or subcontract it out myself, or do it myself. I normally just have them do most of it and leave some planting for me to do.

Good morning, Y'All!

Beth, I am so sorry that you are going through all this. :( You are certainly in my thoughts and prayers.

I had a rough week last week. Thursday and Friday were a blur, and so was Saturday. I was so tired yesterday with the time change, that I had a major nap. It just made me determined to get with it today, so I did Tracie Long's Reboot Volume 1. This is the second time I have done that one, and I like it very much.

Hi, Joan, Jann and Kim!

Have a great day, everyone!

Magnolia

Hi ladies!!

It's 70 degrees and I've been outside since 10am!! My legs feel like mush and my ol'back is wishing I would just sit down already!! :p I love daylight savings time -- all is right again. SPRING is next week!!:eek::eek:

Magnolia some weeks are like that. They just fly!

Hi Joan, Kim and Beth! :)

Hey ladies,

Sounds like we're all hangin' in there. Sometimes that has to be enough, ya' know?! ;)

I took the weekend off. I was just so dang blue.
Anyway, I'm much better today. I did Tracie's Staying Power. Thank goodness I got over myself and did some physicality otherwise I do believe I'd still be blue.

Happy Monday.

Kim so glad working out is helping with those blues.

I think I may have picked up a bug from the airplane  I am feeling a little off today - darn darn darn. I will be taking it easy today. My husband has a sore throat and a cough -- darn airplanes!

Hi, Y'All!

Jann, I hate flying, too! It used to be fun, but now it's annoying just getting onto an airplane. Then it's all too easy to pick up some bug. I came home one time with a virus I know I picked up on the flight. Hope you will both be better soon.

Kim, I think there is absolutely no better remedy for feeling blue than exercise.

This morning I did LIS, followed by Stability Ball Abs from the Basic Step dvd, and finished with Basic Stretching on Total Body Stretching. I'm consciously trying to add more stretching as often as possible.

Have a great day, everyone.

Good Morning, Y'All!

Well, I have more errands to do today, but I already worked out, so that's covered. I had to take something shorter, so I did Tracie Long's Kick Back. This is the first time I have done that one. I kind of like kickboxing workouts, so this was fun for me. Anyway, I figure 30 minutes is certainly better than nothing.

Have a great day, everyone! Spring is coming! :D

Magnolia

I went outside around 10am and it is now 5pm and I just washed my hands!! I love spring!!

I started seeds, I put down holly tone, I put down rose food, I got everything replanted that I am keeping from the front. I pulled out leaves from my plants. I am tired and a very happy lady!:D

Oh -- I did take about a hour break at lunch.

Good morning, Y'All!

I'm tired today, and there are so many things that need to be done, so I decided to do a Classical Stretch and just get some things done around my house.

Jann, it sounds as if you did a marathon yesterday! Good for you, I wish I had a green thumb, but dh is the one in this house who can make things grow. It was beautiful here, too, but today it looks kinda dreary.

Have a great day, everyone!

Magnolia

:) -- My body is paying for it today. I am so tired. My husband is sick and keeps coughing and sneezing -- I really don't want what ever it is he has --

I did manage to play a little in the dirt this morning. My 86yo neighbor was mowing - push mowing her hilly front yard.:eek: I was sitting in my chair watching her.

Good morning, Y'All!

Jann, I love hearing about people who are very active well into their senior years. That's an inspiration to me.

I just finished Cardio Supersets. I really like that one. It's fun and it kicks my behind really well.

As far as food goes, I am concentrating on getting enough sleep, drinking a lot of water and eating slowly. That seems to keep me from nibbling all day.

Have a great day, everyone!

Magnolia

I do not know what happened to today. I feel like I just got up and now it's 4pm.:confused:

I know Magnolia my neighbor is amazing. She looks great! She takes weight classes 2x's a week with other seniors some in their 90's. She is one of the best people on earth. She is so loving and caring. She is the best neighbor!!
