Ahhhh, lunchtime, and what better way to spend it than by talking about my favourite subject, with interesting people? As soon as I'm done here I have to clean up the presents that my cat puked up for me. Then I have to go grocery shopping, so this may be lengthy........
Jes - that looks like a great rotation. I really like the ME upper body premix. And I think you're going to like LG, I really do. The music is terrific. I found myself singing out loud during the standing leg extensions, despite Paris watching me with the most fascinated expression on her face. I'm not sure if she was trying to determine whether Mommy had lost her mind, or trying to figure out if singing was part of the workout. Enjoy taking down yet another Christmas tree!
Gayle - I agree with you about the 'so many workouts, so little time' dilemma. I would do LG much more frequently, if I didn't also enjoy doing PLB, LL, and all her other workouts with leg weights in them.
Annette - awesome job with IMAX!!!! How wonderful to see you getting some energy back!
Kathy - "then later a 1.5 hour hilly power walk with my pal up the street" That's a long street LOL!! And that was quite the workout, too! Good thing you were able to do all that before the bug hit. What an awful bug! A big problem for the first workout after a bug like that is dehydration. Drink, drink, drink and get all that water back into your tissues.
Wendymin72 - absolutely give your legs additional rest today! I remember when I was pregnant that it really took my body longer to restore it's energy levels between workouts than when I wasn't pregnant, so it's a good idea to offer it some extra time. Did you begin step only after you became pregnant? That's something! Were you active in some other activity prior to that? You're also doing extremely well, especially given how far along you are. Your dedication is very motivating!
Foodie Sue - Wow!! LL on a bad night's sleep?? Good for you!! Does the 2 year old wake you up at nights frequently? Those plie-squat low-ends do me every time. Have you ever noticed that when Cathe puts the barbell down after the lunges that she backs away from them like she it's going to bite her? Those lunges and low-ends really bite.......my butt.
Wendybdh - LG Extreme!! I haven't tried that yet! And since you say there is only one set of those glute sweeps, I might consider it! I love this forum for challenging me to try new things. I have the Ali McGraw yoga workout, and I like it well enough. It's been a very long time since I've done it. I remember one of the things I don't like about it is how quickly she moves through the poses. I feel like I'm just getting my balanace and feeling the stretch, when she's off to the next one. It's a very calming workout, though, isn't it? Hm. Now look what you've done; you've made me want to do it! Wendy, will you please write a thesis? That way, maybe I'll want to write mine
Sandy - great to see the pc working again! Why do you always do abs at home after your gym workouts? Do the instructors not do ab work?
Susan - I'm with you on having to do some level of activity daily. Walking sounds great! On my last day off I had a strong urge to go swimming, but never got around to it. My full day of housework ended up being a workout in itself.
Well, would you look at that? All this time I spent typing, and the cat sick is still on the rug. I thought if you ignored these sorts of things they went away on their own? Grrrrr.
