40s - ZZZzzzzzz

Good Morning,

I was sleeping so good last night that I couldn't get up to go to the gym so I will do intervals on the TM when I get home and before I go to the movies.

Ronne-Magic Mike is about male strippers starring Matthew Mc Conaghey and Tatumn Channing so we get to see alot of buff guys stripping, DH is not real thrilled with me going to it but I don't want to hurt my dd's feelings so I will suffer through (lol).

Good morning! Did AB this morning, harder than I remembered! Lisa, how was the hike? Are you sore today? Roxie, we watched 21 Jump Street the other day, that Channing Tatum is quite beautiful! Tell DH you are just appreciating God's work! Jody, how was dance? Are you doing your own class yet? Ronne, I heard that movie was a scary one! I don't do well with those! Murphy, did you get some sleep? Hi Becky, if you are lurking! Today I think we will hit the pool, have a good day! Mary

Hi girls, well I survived yesterday, barely! Hike may have been shorter and less elevation gain, but tougher terrain. Saw 5 mtn goats right at the beginning (my friend got better pics than me so will have to wait for her pics). We had just gotten over one mountain where we had to climb back up to Mt Evans (looked so far and so high), when grey clouds started rolling in TOWARD where we were going. I'm a wimp with possible lightning, told GF we could head back if she wanted, she wanted to press on and a couple people said it should be ok (they hike faster than us though), so we pressed on TOWARD the storm, OY! I guess my adrenaline kicked in to get there before the storm and off I took, my GF was sooooo slow. She just thought, there she goes again, taking off, her flight response is good. Then we rounded a corner on the other side of Mt Evans and had sun, ah, I calmed down a bit. This part was right along the side of the mountain over rocks for quite a while (about a mile), pretty neat walking along side of mountain, looking down across at the 14er we did last time and the ridge looked beautiful from this side. We finally had to stop and eat our PB sandwiches for energy as we started getting light headed. Finally rounded the bend and there was GOBS of people (remember you can drive up to this 14er, it's the highest paved road in US), ugh, want a bummer, we hike for solitude! Anyway, clouds were very prevalent on this side of the mountain, you couldn't SEE but 100 ft in front of you! Got a funny picture of a sign at the top where it says "you can see for miles" but you can't see a thing because of the clouds! Then we found the "trail" on the other side to go down. I say "trail" because it wasn't a trail but a gully from water run off down the mountain. It was practically straight down over "scree" --loose little rock--- you slip a lot at that incline, I fell on my booty once, my legs just went out from under me. The clouds came and went when they were there it was discombobulating not being able to see but maybe 50 ft in front of you. Got down to the bottom (I never would have climbed up this side, it was bad), and boom, MIGRAINE. Maybe a combo of pressure changes, exertion, tired, hungry, worn out, etc. By the time we got to a restaurant to eat, I was nauseous. I had to wait to take something until I ate, took migraine pill, got home, still not well, better, but not well, couldn't take any more meds, my stomach wouldn't allow it, so I went to bed with ice pack on my head. Woke up at 2AM feeling better but restless, realized I needed some Advil for general tired muscles, then slept until 8AM. I'm still not feeling the best, worn out, slight headache, general exhaustion. This trail had LONGER TOUGH sections, but we did it, never again for this mountain!

I'll try to be back later with some personals...hope you enjoyed my story. And someday I'll get the pics up -- we actually took less because we really had to try to go faster to beat the storm. Thankfully it just turned into dark clouds and no lightning (although we heard thunder a couple times) or else we may have gotten into trouble.

Having angst, I have to respond to RT but don't know about OMT yet. Hate to take a spot I won't keep, not sure I wouldn't keep it, not sure I'd get the other spot, hate for other spot to think I don't want it if it knows I've accepted RT. Hmmm

This morning was slidey glidey max- w/u and cardio from SG then the SG tabata from new workout (lol, followed by a visit to the gyn for annual, so I'm tempted to include a lube reference here but I will restrain myself. ) I actually felt eager to workout this morning rather than procrastinating. I've been changing up my diet and supplements, maybe its working? I dunno, one day doesn't mean much. I'll keep you posted.

Ronne, I wondered if you meant blender. No, I use the breath- pant- sweat while I change out the dvd and find the right chapter method of mish- moshing.
Lisa, this hike didn't sound too fun! Its nice to know you leave your friends in the dirt when you spot trouble. : )
Mary, dance was fun last night plus I did a 4k walk just prior so scale loved me today. I don't know if I will pursue dance teach yet or not.
Roxie, good job on those inches! Have fun at the movies and thanks for the vibes. As you can see I'm a nut case.
Where's Murphy today? Hopefully recovered from late night, etc.

OK, deep breath, make call, move forward. : )

Roxie, your weather sounds familiar :) Now then, if in a couple of days you get a migraine, then I know mine was from the weather :)

Jody, do what's best for you. Don't let taking up a spot factor into your decision. You always have a nice way with words....lol with leaving friends in dirt at first sign of trouble.

Murphy/Ronne, I read a second Diane Chamberlain book....really liking her books. I guess I'm more into books than movies :) re: workout blender.....I find so far when I incorporate segments into a mish-mosh that the voice over doesn't match the video. I didn't think many hear used it?

Mary, whaaat? no cleaning today? Are you playing life of luxury hanging at the pool?

I'm feeling better, I guess my electrolytes were just a bit off so been replenishing my body all day (with rest and food).

Lisa-her books are next on my list right now I am finishing Nora Roberts The Last Boyfriend and I put James Patterson on my Kindle this morning. I am going to cave and read Fifty Shades of Gray.

Just a quick pop-in to wave and say that I've been reading all your updates. Dad is doing well, finished one round of chemo and is continuing radiation. Two more rounds of chemo over the next 8 weeks and hopefully he'll be ready for surgery.

I've been doing LIS and loving it -- did Slide&Glide today, but only got through the cardio, legs and part of arms before I had to go. Also been doing 4 Day Split and some Step, Jump and Pump. Love all the options and looking forward to XTrain!

I had another unplanned rest day yesterday, but I just finished an Intensity premix.

VeggieGirl - good luck with everything, stay strong.

Roxie - I am sure it will be hard work, but try to suffer through those buff bods.

Jody - I would take the spot with the RT. Can't you drop out later once you get your OMT spot ("something came up")? I am sure they will have a waiting list so someone on the list can get your spot if.

Lisa - good job, you are the Mountain Princess, Xena's cousin.

Ronne - DH keeps trying to get me to see Batman but I have no desire to see it at all. I too have issues with Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. i am willing to give her a chance, but I am not willing to pay for it.

Waves to all.

Murphy

Hi all

Feeling a bit tired today, think the work and the workouts are catching up withe me. Did TTM for the first time today. I found it tougher than CrossFire, I think it's the step. I just used max 5lbs and I had to take a quick break during the 30/20 section.
Off to school tonight to watch DD's school play.

Becky - hope things go well for your dad

Murphy - well done for getting the premix in.

Roxie - I saw the Magic Mike trailer last night. Channing Tatum has a head like a potato! Not my kind of thing :p

Lisa - that sounds like a tough hike. Some are better than others, I guess.

Jody - I'm with Murphy, accept the place and you can always say you changed your mind later. It happens all the time.

Mary - did you have a nice time at the pool?

Good Morning,

The movie was a big disappointment the dancing was good and a couple of the guys looked good but Matthew came off as gay and I really didn't like him in this movie. I got up this morning and did intervals on my TM at home and tonite is another session with PT.

Becky-glad to hear your dad is doing well enough for surgery and with everything on your plate you still manage to workout good for you.

Ronne-sounds like you had a tough workout. The movie was pretty much about stripping, drugs and alcohol.

Murphy-good job with your workout.

Hi girls! Today was GS legs, fun! Roxie, thanks for the review, doesn't sound like I need to see that one! Ronne, I kind of like potatoes! I agree TTM was more challenging for me! Jody, mad me laugh about Lisa's adventure! I agree with the others, take the spot so you have a spot. If you end up in the other program it will still give someone else a spot! Becky, sending you good thoughts. Murphy, how many more days till the road trip? Lisa, how are you feeling after that hike? Sounds like an amazing work out! I did clean the bathrooms upstairs yesterday, didn't want to tell! Today is errands, dog, hair, etc. Hope everyone has a good day, Mary

Mary and I kindred spirits today, I'm getting 16 foils and hair cut. - I'm foiled as I speak. : )
I did a BB ts workout-step and bi s and core. Fun step, music, beautiful crew, I think its step blast?
Funny, I've avoided bb and ctx previously, I felt like I was cheating if I didn't work out for long time. Now I'm all over the half hour and done concept. I like circuits more now too.
Ronne, tell dd to break a leg and have fun.
I did accept the rt. Thanks for encouragement. Oh and becky glad to hear from u and that things seem to be going ok under the circumstances. Time to rinse, hi to all.

Hey all, I managed to do BM2 Double upper premix, but only the UB portion. I'm still a bit wiped out.

Mary and Jody make me want to sing....I'm gonna wash that gray right out of my hair.....la la la

Becky, glad you are hangin in there

Ronne, I agree TTM is harder, that one may have a dread factor for me

Murphy, wow I have earned Mountain Princess title! Jody is funny about summing up leaving my friends in the dirt. I don't know what it is about the fear of a storm with me :)

Roxie, wow, you are going to read 50 shades, you must have either caved to the hype or you know some others reading it?

Good Evening,

Tonite the PT kicked my butt again and then we foam rolled. I finished Nora Roberts The Last Boyfriend and it was good.

Lisa-since they are making a movie out of it thought I might as well read it and the boss said the sex isn't different then any other book.

I just finished HR. This week of the rotation is a bit out of whack. I think I will repeat it next week - I like the dvd's and I don't have gym style for next week. I was going to do the weights from 4DS.

Jody - I too like circuit training. I like the 1/2 hour concept too and I also feel like I am cheating.

"adult" book readers - so, do I get to read "adult" books once the kids are older? Right now my reading consists of kiddie books and I just don't have the energy or desire to read anything else. I also don't have the attention span for books on tape.

My two assistants are here are they are arguing - I feel a headache coming on - joy.

Murphy

Murphy, once my kids started reading on their own and had required reading from school. We would have reading time where I got to finally start reading books I wanted to again and they would have to read their book. that was the only way I could get them to read. My boys did not inherit my reading gene.

I hope to be back to report a w/o. Working 1/2 a day so will workout after I'm done working and before I shower for the day. Still have no idea what w/o I will do. My left upper glute muscle hurts, I think I pulled it on the hike when I slipped going down that steep incline. I didn't fall that time but felt something wrench back there.

Good Morning,

I didn't sleep at all last night so I didn't get up and go to spin class and I have shin splints really bad today from running yesterday. Tonite I am going to the gym and doing the stationary bike its all I feel up to. We are doggie sitting this weekend so no specific plans might take the boat out for a test run.

Murphy-eventually you will have the time to read adult books.

Lisa-hope your glute gets better.

Hello

Roxie/Lisa - those books are all over the press here. Don't think I'll be bothering - I prefer to waste my time with crime novels!! :)

Murphy - well done for getting a workout in despite your 'assistants'!

Mary - I read your post wrong and missed the comma between dog and hair! I wondered briefly what kind of job to do with dog hair you had to do!

Jody - I love getting my hair done, it's a great excuse to do nothing for a couple of hours! I've always preferred shorter workouts, sometimes an hour is just too much to fit in. I'm big on circuits as well.

Enjoyed the show last night - most of the kids are leaving school in a week so it was quite moving! Did MM today. Will probably have a rest day tomorrow as we're all off to London for a meal and a musical (for kids). Then I'll probably try to get some work done on Sunday as it's piling up a bit. Have a good weekend all.

Hey! I did BB TS w/o 4 (kickboxing and shoulders) plus a bike ride. The kickboxing was pretty good, more to my liking than hi lo and more kick/leg oriented than punching. I chased that with lunch with my previous math professor I've been doing tutoring for- she is great, very no nonsense practical type person, so I enjoyed bouncing things off of her. It was also 2 for one wine, so I'm now a little loopy. : ) I've been abstaining for a few weeks. Shakespeare in the park tonight at the ocean park w/ besties and maybe new guy.
Ronne, thought of you, I think my dd needs to have a job like yours, wonders how to break into it?
Murphy, I love kids books and didn't miss grown up reading. I used to be able to recite Madeline from memory. Reading with grands is probably the main reason I can think of to have them! But if you get time and have the desire, by all means, find a way to get some good reading in!
Mary, I'm happy with my hair, how about you?
Lisa, I am going to work in the Turbo Jam/Chalene workout asap, I've been anxious to try it.
Roxie, how's your energy after no sleep? What is the lake like where you boat? My ex used his sail boat more in OK on the lake than he did here in FL.
Smiles ~~
