40's - week of 8/26/12

Hi girls! Did PS legs and ....I row anywhere from 1000-1500 meters, just a little add on to my regular workout. See if it changes anything up?! Roxie, I hate getting nauseated during a workout! So, are you all done with her? Lisa, 5 miles?! Impressive! Jody, do you have class everyday? Did the rain stop? Murphy, you guys doing anything fun for vacation? Ronne, are you ever coming back from vacation? Today is cleaning, organizing. I go back to work next week. Also, making some chicken enchiladas for dinner, I'm excited about those! Good workouts, ladies! I did CCC express pm and 30/30 ---> 45 min workout.
They cancelled school again b/c of flooding yesterday. I go 4 days with Thurs off this semester. I'll be doing the chem tutor assistant thing, no math this go around. Wednesdays will be super busy days for the next 4 months.
 
That's a good workout combo Jody! I'll have to try to remember that! Who am I kidding, I can't even remember what I had for dinner last night! I'm getting used to 1/2 a brain..... There needs to be a new group call lurkers anonymous, but then I bet there would never be any posts.....haha, I crack myself up sometimes!

Mary, I was determined to run 5 miles, took 1 hr 2 min. not my fastest, but at least for the first 30 min I had it down to an 11 min mile. Funny about wondering if Ronne will ever come back from holiday!
 
Yeah, it felt like a good combo. Funny, Cathe feels compelled to tell me not to tuck too high at one point in CCC or I'll throw the timing off. Yeah, right, like I have a high tuck *anywhere* in my repertoire of moves! not!
Mary, i can't eat anything "enchilada" w/o putting it to the pina colada song.
--If you like cheese enchiladas....

Nice to be missed!! Apologies in advance for lack of personals, but it is good to see you all again! :)
Had a great holiday, Corfu is beautiful, very mountainous and green which wasn't what I expected. Weather was fab and I did no exercise apart from a bit of swimming (in beautiful clear waters). Didn't overdo the food or drink tho' so am feeling good and not fat like I usually do at the end of a holiday. I'm attaching a couple of shots (pool at our villa, beaches) to show you what you missed! Oh and Lisa there's one specially for you (and yes they are real goats round our pool!!)
Not sure when I'll be picking up the workout baton yet, last week of school holidays so at home with DD and trying to do bits of work around that.

Aw Ronne, so nice to be thought of! Your goats look different than ours, oh yea, ours have tons of fur from the cold winters! hahaha Yours have such nice kept fur instead of shedding their winter coat all the time! It looks beautiful! You didn't get sunburned now did you?

Good Evening,

Tonite I went to the gym and tried running on the TM but my shins and knee didn't much care for it and I am 46 almost 47 years old and have 2 kids so I had another embarassing issue.

LOL Roxie about the other embarrassing issue....that's why I like to w/o at home! In fact in the mornings when I run I almost always have to break to 'leave a penny' as the brits would say. Those brits, they have such an eloquent way to say everything! Oh, and just wait until 48!!!! This birthday has been the worst so far of my 40's!

I blame it on my HUGE 2 babies I had, one was 8lb 6 oz, and the second was 9 lb 8.5 oz!
 
GS BSB complete. Sweated a bit more than I wanted (it's been high bugs here last 2 weeks, broke records all over the place this summer, so far 63 days over 90, we normally have 30!) Deciding if I should do something else later, but my body is a bit tired, I'm so motivated to get this weight I gained off, off, off!

Mary, surprisingly my legs aren't too bad. Just a bit of soreness in quads and glutes (enough so that I know doing step would feel "tired"). That could have been more from B&G. My tri's are screaming and my obliques too (I think running gets my obliques too--weird I know). Chest a bit sore, so all that made GS BSB a bit more challenging. I will probably do some cardio later, just trying to figure out what it will be.

Got my first workout in today. Did 4DS KB cardio - that was enough! Looks like I missed the Xtrain preorder while I was away! Damn! How much was it before?

Roxie - your comment about the TM made me laugh!

Lisa - Isn't GSBSB enough?!

Mary - well done, doing anything from AT especially while it's humid is to be congratulated!

Busy day for me back on oxygen rounds. I am going to do the elliptical tonite hopefully no embarassing moments happen.

Lisa-my oldest dd was 8 3/4lbs youngest was only 6lbs 13oz so the first one did all the damage second one slid out. I had your problem last week while on the TM.

Ronne-glad I made you laugh today. Its funny today not so much last night.

Jody-I hope you are all okay doesn't sound very nice where you are?

Welcome back Ronne, I'm trying to up the workouts these next couple of weeks while I work from home to try to lose some lbs. No commute makes it easier! Also trying to eat better, I have lost a lb, sigh, but I gained so much while dealing with the stress of everything this summer.

Tonite I did the elliptical and tried different shoes to see if it helps keep my feet from going numb.

Lisa-I have lost inches won't know about lbs until tomarrow.
 
Roxie, where is your feet going numb? I have problems with numb feet only when I tighten my laces up too tight (and I like a nice tight shoe to keep my heel from slipping). The laces would be too tight over my arch if I got it tight enough at the ankle. 2 ways I fixed it for me, 1 lace shoe over arch making sure not to get too tight, then at ankle I use a runner's locking way to lock the lace in (you can google it). My hiking boots I do a different way, I don't lace them in the eyelets over the arch, so I skip a set of holes that are over the arch and just don't lace them there. Maybe that's your problem and this will help, if not, well, everyone just ignore me!

Tonite is my final session with the PT and I am a little nervous about going out on my own again. Its only 30 minutes so I will do the TM again tonite and hopefully no embarassing moments but this time I am prepared.

Lisa-the ball of my foot goes numb. I switched to a different shoe last night and it seemed to help.
 
I did Cycle Max this morning. That's all I plan to do, I should do Clean Bathroom Max.

Roxie, have you had any shoes professional fitted at an athletic store (and I don't mean one of the chains)? I got fitted for running shoes from Boulder Running Company, they really evaluate you, film you on treadmill to figure out how you are rolling you feet and what to put in to compensate and everything. I love my running shoes, I wish they carried cross trainers so they could evaluate me in those. But they did turn me onto the Pink SuperFeet insoles, they helped tremendously in my cross trainers and I use them in my hiking boots, the one time I didn't I could tell!
 
Lisa, there is a Cathe/hair treatment/ thread on od, maybe you should add your jello treatment!!
Welcome back Ronne! How transition to life w/o pool and goats going? Pics were beautiful, but did the beach hurt your feet? It looked owie. Small price to pay I guess. : D
Roxie good luck on your inches. I'm trying to re-lose my travel and family time weight. (ps good job to Ronne on sane eating while on holiday)

Mary, this is last week day off before your work starts up? Enjoy the weekend! I'm kind of envious of the rowing action, sounds like a good switch up.
Not sure what I'll do today for workout~ I'll let ya know when I do something! Yesterday was a big day back to school and work. Also last day for drop add and I admit I was still considering the possibility of switching programs. I torture myself. Gak.
