40's - week of 5/20/12

Good Morning,

Tonite for me is Personal Trainer time no idea whats in store. Thanks everyone for the condolensces, my mom had 11 brothers and sisters and she was one of the youngest so it is a huge family and I have cousins I have never met so the funeral should help me get to know everyone again. Its suppose to be hot and windy here today 90 degrees with wind gusting to 45mph.

Lisa-thats frustrating.

Jody-you definetly need boy time and I did like the workout she gave me but I want her to show me the burpee move with the bosu so I can do it again on my own.
 
Happy Hump day! I did a PM from CSS, express + step, I thought it might be all intervals but not repeating them (you know now I hate redo work and repeating seems like a redo sometimes). Well it was intervals 5-8 (both sets) + step, it was still good and I feel much better and more grounded (only w/o people would understand that statement). I bit the bullet and told my co-workers that I'm going to work from home the next 2 weeks unless there is some reason they need to see me since boss is out. I know boss has his spy (not on my team), I just don't really care.

Roxie, it's hard losing anyone, no matter if we were close or not. Makes us realize our own mortality. All these stars, that I know, that are passing in there 60s is a shock, geez, I must be getting old.

Murphy, I would have had to slap your DH over the vacation time, and if not then then over making him lunch? Sometimes I don't know how you get any w/o's in! So you should get double credit for each w/o! :) too bad it doesn't work that way! I contemplated doing CB today, but then once you reminded about all the jumping, I knew I didn't have it in me today!

Jody, I like having my "unlimited" vacation, I don't like not getting paid for it!

Mary, I'm hoping to get some house work done while I work from home, so far it doesn't look good :(

Ronne, getting paid is always good and eases the pain, but honestly, the amount of rework is always more than it really should be if there was some decent planning done.

Well, work calls, can't wait for the weekend!
 
Hi everyone! Today did PP, love it! Short and sweet! Anyway, yard looks great! We did have to go to Home Depot 3 times tho! Tonite we have an awards ceremony for the twins, I call them the "smarty awards"! I still can't wrap my head around the fact they are going to high school! Here at home they are still like 7 year olds! (sorry Murphy!). Anyway,, Murphy, I would have been WILD about the interruptions! Roxie, I want to hear what the trainer does to you tonite! Jody, you make time for that boy! You are one busy girl! Lisa, did you get that job done? Still walking with DH? Ronne, I would "forget" about the clothes in storage, then I would "have" to go shopping! Have to get cleaning, have a great day! Mary
 
Lisa-I think that is what makes this so sad is the fact that I didn't get to spend more time with him, the few times he came home he was so much fun to hang around with, and I realized that I need to go to this funeral so I can see all of these people that I grew up with but lost touch with some of them I have on facebook. I had to miss his dad funeral due to work but I just told the bosses I have to go to this one.
 
Mary, I got no housework done, work, work, work. But never fail, I'll bill them my time! Guess they are behind because all the IBM people went to class last week while I sat in the office twiddling my thumbs. Now they are behind on this project that only THEY have been allowed to work on, so NOW they want my help. Such is the life of a contractor I guess. Really sometimes the lack of planning really irritates me ( a pet peeve of mine right up with rework.... lol). DH and I plan to walk tonight as long as the rain stays away. Watch it start raining when we are a mile from home! :) You must have the CLEANEST house in the world! My next to-do is polishing the bathroom/kitchen cabinets. I did a test area in the master bath with some finishing oil with stain, it looks great. I am getting wear on the cabinets from water on your hands or steam from teh coffee maker. Also need to wipe the door frames and baseboards and window frames as they have some scuff marks. I guess that's what you get with 20 yrs in a house!

It rained tonight so DH is off the hook for walking. I think he knew it would rain and that's why he kept acting like he was real excited to walk tonight. Little does he know I have twice as far planned tomorrow night (insert evil laugh). Since it's so cool and I'm not near as tired as I've been last couple of nights, I then decided to do GS CT (minus the evil push-up section---hate that section).

Jody, don't get too impressed, with 20 yrs, I have a lot of STUFF to clean out sometime, not to mention the mess in the finished basement with trying to keep the cat eliminating in appropriate areas. Only someone with an old cat would understand, my BFF and I are in the same boat (except her cat can see). We have boxes everywhere to block off access where there is no door. I also just finished the 2nd book in 50 shades, it's really boring me (not so much erotic stuff anymore which is fine, but the plot is really going no where!). Well only one more book in the series so I have to muddle thru it to see if I miss anything. It may take me a while!

Lisa, I agree, 50 got boring. Sexting and witty email repartee are only interesting to the parties involved, that is when I started getting bogged down. Most of my other books I requested came into the library, so hopefully I will remember to swing by before they put them back into circ. Ha ha, I was going to say your poor dh has no idea to what is in store for him, but I'm guessing after ?? years of marriage he may have a clue. : ) It's nice that you guys can go walk together. I'm hoping I haven't lost my fireman, I'd like to see him again. He seems nice but manly, you know?
 
Hi girls! Have to chime in! I finished the trilogy, thank goodness most of the nonsense stops, I just had to find out what happened. Jody, your boy is a firefighter? Mine is too! They have goofy schedules, but you can work it out! Roxie, what did the trainer do to you? Ok, now I got my 2 cents in and I finally have to watch the Desperate Housewives finale! Mary

Well the PT kicked my ass tonite I wanted to throw up when I was done. I came home and DH had fixed supper and it was hard eating it. We went out to the kids house and everything but the master bath and babies room is painted.

Jod & Lisa-I had a Mary moment last weekend and cleaned out my closet now I need to clean the drawers out.
 
Is anyone else watching the American Idol finale? I just have to say, some of these women (Fantasia, Shaka-kan (or however you spell her name), have absolutely NO business where skin tight jumpsuits showing all their bulges. OMG!

Woah, it's been busy!!

Roxie - wow, that is a massive family! My dad was one of 7 and my grandma one of 10. I used to see all my cousins as kids but only see them at funerals these days.

Lisa - I love that premix. So did you do the premix and the GS CST the same evening?!! You make me laugh with your evil walking plans for DH!!

Jody - I think I'm somewhere in the middle here on cleaning. I do what I call a 'slut's clean' sometimes, which is where I just clean what people will notice!!

Mary - hope you didn't read the above!! :D I actually quite like getting my clothes out because there are invariably things I've completely forgotten about so it's almost like getting new clothes.

Did StrikeZone today. My longest cardio for a while, 56 mins, had to take a couple of breaks. Another lovely day - I'm going to wander round an outlet place while DD has gymnastics this evening. Looking for a Wimbledon dress!

My dad was the youngest of 13 and my mom the oldest of 6, they only had me!? So many cousins I've never met, especially on my dads side. Lisa, did you map out your walk? Did the person you wanted to win Idol win? I've never really watched that show, don't know why? Jody, do you watch Greys Anatomy? That was a rough finale too! Murphy, how you feeling? I did the sleep-max again, but then since I didn't have a commute, I figured I should w/o, especially because my hair needed washed bad from the coconut oil I put it on it the night before (my coconut oil was all liquid from the heat -92F and I got a bit heavy handed). Anyway, in the I don't like re-work, I did CCC express PM, perfect, especially for that w/o.

Mary, I never started watching Desparate Housewives (I think something was going on with time constraints when it started). I may have to check it out one day on netflix. Amer Idol...I was happy if either had won. I just coudlnt' believe these stars coming out in tight body suits with their bulges showing...they needed a spanx bodysuit underneath. How they think it makes them looks good boggles my brain. I cried at the Grey's Ant finale. I'm such a sap!

Ronne, what fun, shopping for a wimbledon dress! I seem to have to take more breaks lately. Not sure if I'm just not as conditioned or if it's because I'm older, or both. I figure it's still better than the average Joe.

Jody, yea, he probably won't be all that surprised. So far he's hanging in there, maybe he likes the US time. I do have a route planned (the one with the beautiful view).

Roxie, I've never gotten to the throw up phase, nor do I want to. That's the most awful feeling!

I think I might get some of that housework done, fingers crossed!

Based on this I think Jody is living in the wrong place given that she's not as into 50. I think Ohio likes it more than CO which seems to fit with Mary and I.

Good Morning,

I got up and went to spin class this morning and tonite is another session with PT. I have lost another 2lbs but my body % went up by 2 don't understand that one at all.

Mary-I can't even begin to explain what she did but the worst one she had me sit on a bench then lay down holding a 15lb DB for tricep over head extensions with out using my legs crank out 3 extensions and then come back up without using my legs all core had to do 4 of those 3 times and she also had me do 3 rounds of leap frogs. I at least know I am getting my moneys worth.

Ronne-my grandfathers brother had 7 boys.

Lisa, interesting site re 50 Shades. Its funny, most read in the north east (I'm thinking trendy NYers who are on top of everything) Rated highest as far as writing in the south (ahem, we don't exactly have a reputation for education/intellect). New source of smutty, er erotic, titles, though...

My other tv regulars are Survivor and Big Bang Theory plus I like Jeopardy and sometimes DWTS plus Biggest loser. I watched most of Desp House wives on DVD w/ dd years after they initially aired, we grew disenchanted when Gaby had kids and I've just been catching up with the last season on demand. There are so many good shows, I have to be careful not to get hooked. But it is fun to have a fave to watch w/ kids. : )

Mary, did you guys choose Casino? LOL Ronne to Slut's Clean. : ) Plus I'm glad you've gotten a break in the work. Murphy, about the only time I ever lost patience w/ my kids and got angry was when my workout got interrupted. Well, except today I told my dd that I wanted to sling hatchets at anyone who interrupted my "getting shit done time" with comments that started out with... " I NEED" .

I just did a dance class teach today, maybe some push ups but I might just go pour a glass of white. Can't imagine which will win out.
