Hey everyone! Thought I'd go ahead and get us started. How was everyone's weekend? I saw DS21 and his fiancee, they discussed wedding plans. They have the date (5/10/12) and everything all booked. Sounds like she wants a big one, 5 bridesmaids. Colors canary yellow and emerald green, daisies for flowers. I'll have to get a long formal gown, thinking the emerald green may be the prettier choice.

Workouts, I did Insanity yesterday! I almost made it through but 1/2 way through the low impact my DVD kept freezing. This is the first time I've used the DVD before, normally I used the downloaded one. Wondering if I should contact cust serv. I got a bit upset with it, kept forwarding thinking it would clear up, but it didn't then by the time I decided to skip it I was so cooled down I said the heck with stretching. Maybe that's why my lower back is tight today, either that or all the impact I've done the past 3 days. My legs are tired too. I did manage to get STS Disc 9 Legs in Sunday. I think I need a couple of easy days like UB and easy cardio/core.

Oh, we got the Ipad back from DS21 too, he decided he needed a laptop more so he wanted his MacBook Air back. I knew this would happen :) What we don't do for our kids, right?

Hey Lisa! Yesterday I did the kick box from CTX, today I did the rower and the floor work from GS legs. DH challenged me to row 2,000 meters everyday for the month of March. I don't know what I was thinking! Only 6 days in and I am starting to hate that rowing machine! Only takes 10 min., it is harder that it seems. He says it will give me what I am looking for! I'll let you know! May is a beautiful month to marry! Emerald green sounds perfect! Maybe your DH can get you some emeralds and diamonds to go with your dress? I am glad you got your iPad back! Murphy, how are your kids feeling? How is your DH? Ronne, how was your weekend? Vickie, you still here? Talk to you all tomorrow! Mary

Rowing is hard work! Not sure I could do it, but then you can do anything for 10 min right? So what are you looking for? More well defined arms? I'm feeling nice shape in my arms, they'd be nicer if I could get rid of the extra fat layer!

Today I did a premix from High Step Challenge. I have done the dvd before and I like it (last week was High Step Circuit) but this morning I had a kink in my neck and I was just not in the mood for it. I got through it and my neck actually feels better but at the time I just wanted to be done with it. Yesterday my legs and back were really tight so I did strecthing work. Saturday I did the cardio circuit from CCC. WTH is that? It seemed like a HiiT workout. OMG. I might do it again when I am on one of my crazy workout cycles but while I am sane, I might have to skip it.

Mary - good luck with the rowing. I tried a rower once and thought I would pass out. It is harder than it looks.

Lisa - I think Mary is right, DH should buy you some diamonds and emeralds to go with the dress.

BTW, the little ones are better. They are back to their normal selves. DH is still in the doghouse but I let him come out for meals!

Hi everyone

Had a weekend of doing jobs. Cut the grass for the first time and tidied up the garden. It's looking a lot better. I really hurt my upper back on Friday so laid off the workouts this weekend (who am I kidding? Like I ever work out at weekends?!!). There's still a bit of a twinge but I can move without wincing now. I did GSC&T today. Feeling like hitting the weights again after a bit of a break. I really felt it in my arms - just from picking the weights up ;)!

Lisa - congrats to your DS. How exciting - a wedding to look forward to. It does sound like a major production. Are they paying for it themselves?
I know what you mean about that fat layer - I know there are cut arms underneath there somewhere! I'm not that dedicated to do all that careful eating!

Mary - Are you mad? Every day for a month??? I'm not big on the rower either (I'm starting to get the feeling that I'm the laziest person around here!)

Murph - pleased to hear that your girls are back and better. You make me laugh about your DH!

See you tomorrow!

Hi girls! Happy Monday! Today was disc 10, so glad to be done with the dreaded push-ups! Did the rower too. DH says it will help my arms, I'm not to keen on my triceps. Of course, if I stopped eating so darn much they probably could be seen! Ronne, you are all ready mowing? We still have snow. Glad that you are feeling better. Murphy, good to hear you let DH out to eat! I haven't done HSC in awhile. That would be a hard one to tackle so early in the morning. Lisa, did you do STS? Off to enjoy the quiet! Mary

Hi everyone, yep, today was push up day, STS disc 10 (sssshhh, I only do maybe 1/2 of them).

Murphy, my neck has a kink too, fell asleep for a short 20 min nap on the couch yesterday. DH said I was laying funny, I told him, why didn't you wake me up? He just looked at me like, I ain't doin that and getting my head bit off! :) Glad to see you give the DH a bone every once in a while

Ronne, mowing? We had freezing rain here, pretty slick out, and then maybe 4" tonight, that means working at home tomorrow and I would like to have a NON busy day (unlike today, it's crazy busy). I would NEVER say you were the laziest one around here, but now that you mention it......

Mary, my oldest son calls that 'bingo arm', because when he was in the band and did bingo for fundraising these ladies all would raise their hand when they wanted a 'pickle' (scratch off ticket), and those triceps just wave in the breeze :) I'm sure your's aren't that bad, but we need to keep them from getting there. Why is it that's a tough spot? I'm jealous of your quiet week. Since we've gotten back from the cruise, there hasn't been one weekend yet when one of the boys haven't been over at our house, and next weekend starts spring break, so I know DS19 (eek almost DS20) will be there. I love 'em to death but man they've been stopping by a lot (guess they missed us)

Have a great day, I hope the roads aren't too slick driving home. There's nothing worse than a slick layer of ice under the snow, I hope to miss the mess.

Hi ladies!
Just wanted to drop in and confess that I've been a slacker lately. So, there was not much to report. I weigh in on Sunday's and only lost .5 this week. I was a little bummed because I was expecting to be at 20 lbs by now, but instead I've only lost 19lbs in 10 weeks. It is partially my fault for slacking on the exercise last week, but I'm hoping to get back into the groove this week. I hope you all have a great week as well:)

Hi everyone! Today I did the TM and rower. I am really starting to dislike that machine! Vickie, 19 lbs in 10 weeks? Pretty amazing if you ask me! You should be so impressed with yourself! Ronne, how does your lawn look? Ours still have piles of snow! I am a little jealous of your weather, but not the mowing! I haven't missed that at all! Lisa, never heard them called bingo arms! That is exactly what I don't want! Murphy, how's it going? Is he still in the dog house? Well, I need to gow shower and run some errands, have a good day. Mary

Hey ya'll, today I did MMA Boxing Heavy bag bonus with glove weights instead. I'm a bit frustrated at work (maybe more on that later) so I REALLY punched hard, at one point I wished I had a bag and then thought maybe DH could absorb some of my punches (not that I'm mad at him). Then I did TF core work. Yea I went easy, but my body needed easy. My shoulders are a bit sore in the rear delt area when punching, that's unusual.

Vickie, I think that is awesome weight loss, use that as inspiration to get to your workouts done!

Mary, at least you haven't said you are starting to hate the TM.

gotta run for now, maybe I'll come back and vent later.

Hi everyone

Vickie - you should be so proud of yourself. That's a fantastic achievement!

Lisa - it's great being able to punch your frustations away, isn't it? Slacker!! (sticks tongue out and runs away! :p)
Well, I think it's really nice that your boys want to come home so much. Can you imagine how you'd feel if they were that close and you never saw them? You obviously did a great job!!

Mary - we call them bingo wings round here! Even nicer! Sounds like winter's hangin on in there - poor you. It's been glorious sunshine today (cold tho') and I even hung some washing out!!

I did an old Christi Taylor Step DVD today. It starts off quite easy and you think there's nothing to it but the second half never stops - one combo builds for about 15 mins and it's just relentless! I was a wreck after - and absolutely starving!
Going to do a few invoices now - realised that I've been so busy I haven't had time to invoice people for the work I've done!!!

Doing work for free, eh Ronne, aka Slacker?

So, my frustrations are this: The expectation is that you come into the office to work, no more working at home. Fine, that's the rules, HOWEVER seems some just continue to break the rules with no reprimand and I know they have no work to do, so why I'm I working so hard and getting the same pay? I need to accept that what they do is of no concern to me, in fact I remind myself of my DS when he was in 2nd grade. The teacher had a conference with me about how upset he got because he knew the rules and would follow them and then get upset when others didn't. He would get so upset she called the conference to ask me what she should do to handle him. I told her to just let him be, to keep asking what's wrong would just make him more upset. So, I guess I have a child just like me :) Now I just need to give myself the same advice, maybe if I heard it in my Mother's voice it would help :p

Oh, and then on top of everything, this stuff I'm doing (which I asked for help on but no one can help me? Because they don't have the skill, but they have no work, how else can they learn), anyway I've been approved for OT, I DON'T WANT TO WORK OT. I don't care if I get paid time and a half. so what logic is it to pay ONE person OT and have 5 people doing NOTHING?

Maybe that helps to vent,
I'm tired of working, I'm hoping to take a ski day next week.

We just had some wine, NICE. We joined a wine club, first bottle wasn't so good but the one tonight was really good, almost finished the whole thing, but thought to save 1/2 for tomorrow night after what is shaping up to be another fretful day.

They've cleared me to work OT, I told them I could work all the OT in the world and it wouldn't change that what is documented isn't going to work. Submitted the job one more time with more modifications and it's been running 3.5 hours, omg, well at least it didn't bomb after 30 min like it had been doing. So, for tonight, off the hook for OT, I dread tomorrow.

DH and I finished up one bottle of run on Saturday(the small one from Grenada), I think we are turning into lushes

My back is out. I lifted boxes improperly on Sunday and I am so stiff. I tell myself to keep moving and it will get better, but I sit at a desk all day and it is not getting better. :-(

Lisa - sorry to hear about work. I hope it gets better for you.

Murphy

Hi girls! Just did disc 11, one more and I get a recovery week! (you too Lisa!). I hope work is not too painful today. At least there is some wine waiting for you with your name on it. Ronne, make sure you get those invoices out! I don't think I would do well working for myself because I would be nervous asking for my pay. Does that make sense? I know I am goofy! Murphy, hope you feel better. Are you still unpacking?. We have bgwm in this house 6 years and I still have boxes I haven't touched, guess I really don't need whatever is in them! Hi to you Vickie. Have a good day, Mary

Hi everyone, day is shaping up better thank goodness. I did TF EZ 45 min today, got a bit of a late start because I actually slept (guess that wine helped), so have to wait until tomorrow for disc 11.

Mary, I'm the same way if I have to ask for my pay, I feel weird asking for some reason. There was one time when I worked for that nutritionist where her real estate friend needed some work done, I invoiced him and heard nothing. Emails went unanswered, I was about to write it off when he finally answered and said he was having money problems and now had money available, uh, why didn't you acknowlege me when I asked the first 5 times? Too much stress for me. I bet you all think I'm always whining :)

Waves to everyone else, I still have lots of work to do, but at least that job finally ran (thanks to my team lead, I'd like to explain, but suffice it to say that she originally started this job months ago, I had to pick it up from her, she had several things wrong that I fixed, but there was ONE final thing that needed done that she caught to make it work ---let's just say my brain was fried ).

BYE!

Hi all

Lisa - glad your day is looking better. Work can be so frustrating can't it?! I'm really glad I'm not in an office any more. Can't cope with all the politics!
We just got a case of wine yesterday but haven't dipped into it yet!!

Murphy - take it easy with your back. I know you'll be tempted to jump into workouts. Any chance of lying on the floor at work and doing some stretches? No, I didn't think so!

Mary - well, at least you could take those boxes straight to the charity shop without sorting them! I know what you mean about being embarrassed. I was a bit like that at the beginning when people would ask how much I charged, etc. but now I'm used to it. It's just work and nothing personal.

I did GS BSB today. My upper body feels like it's been stamped on! think I'm going to do Gym Styles regularly for a few weeks as it looks like I need it!

See you tomorrow.

Ronne, what kind of wine do you get? Red or White? I used to tell my friend I only liked White, but after the cruise I like Red better. She told me I'm growing up :)
