40's - week of 1/20/13

Hi all

Quick check-in from me today. Did AOL with Core 1 and added the Scarecrow 100 reps challenge at the end. Week 2 finished, so going to take a rest day tomorrow.

Murphy - I really feel for you - hang in there. It will get better when the kids get older and don't bring so much rubbish home.

Lisa - poor you, but you've got to take it easy on the UB. You will still be doing something even with lighter weights, you can't take the risk of hurting yourself so badly you end up with months off. I can imagine how the tubing would strain your neck more. Probably better to use light weights for those instead. I agree with you about the floor part in Legs, it's a killer!

Mary - well, at least you tried! Enjoy all the basketball!

Roxie - good luck with the showing - hope you get a good result!

I didn't workout last night either DH and I went out to eat and then we were both tired when we got home. I will try and make up some of them this weekend but I think I am starting to fall off the Xtrain.
 
Xtrain BS Bis & Tris done along with All Out Low Hiit Cardio and part of Core 1 just wasn't feeling it and those banana crunches confuse me.
 
4DS double cardio today, lot's of pausing! Maybe I'm weak from less food? I did lose another lb, so now in my mid-work weight range (my weight went up when I went back to work), looking to get to low-work range..another 5 lbs.

Ronne, neck is doing better, I moved the humidifier to 3rd location in the bedroom (bedroom is just not oriented for a humidifier), now DH said he felt it last night and made him cold! It's at the foot of my side of the bed. I think this year has been one of our driest and my sinuses really needed this humidifier (should have had one in the summer and gotten off the benadryl), it leaves a white mineral dust because of our hard water. My bedroom is a mess! Next humidifier I'll spend the $200 to get a better one that takes out the minerals. My plan is to work my way into UB with circuits (since they have less UB work and low weights). Yea for you doing 2 weeks in a rotation!

Roxie, so you are back on the XTRAIN and speeding along now! Actually I hate to say it but those 2 core w/o's have a dread factor for me, and I don't feel bad missing parts of them....and banana crunches confuse me too! How was the showing?

Murphy, not only do young kids bring everything home, this has been a bad winter for viruses! I heard you all are starting them in the east and they are working their way to the west, please keep them to your coast please! All kidding aside, hope you feel better soon, they say it's getting better on the news. I just tried Karma Kream from Lush, yummy smelling! And their Fair Trade Foot Lotion really gets my dry feet feeling good (very few things do).

Hi girls! Today did AOLIH, felt challenging for some reason. Lisa, tell DH to put more covers on! Mine uses the electric blanket just covering him, works perfect. Congrats on the weight loss! Impressive! Roxie, how did the showing go? Are they going to do open houses? Ronne, yeah on joining us on the weekends! Enjoy your rest day. Murphy, so sorry about being sick again. They do stop bringing illness home when they get a bit older. Jody, how's the barre workouts going? We had a game last night, got home at 10, had to leave at 8 this morning. They won both, a blowout last night, this morning's was a real nail biter, but they pulled it out! Today just hanging out, drinks with friends, a birthday party tomorrow. Have a good Saturday! Mary

It wasn't our realtor that showed the house so we have no idea how it went which sucks because I would love some feedback so we know what to do.

Lisa, you lost a lot quickly! Have you made any soups in that Vitamix? It would be good in your cold weather plus up the veggies.

Everyone seems to be loving the xtrain, Roxie, don't fall off! I was thinking of you- didnt you just get down to desired size using ...? CT5K? Better results than with the trainer even?
Murphy, ugh to sick again. Think about your post road trip enthusiasm and maybe that will help you jump back in with gusto once you are feeling better.
Ronne, I had to give up the grape in order to do the program....but it took a week.
I'm watching a Rachel Brice bellydance and yoga dvd I've had for years, I think I'm going to give it a go tomorrow.
Program going ok. Most of the food is good but I want more plants- I cheated with salads this 2nd week instead of wine. The workouts are pretty challenging but in a Barre kinda way. Music is fun. oh I found a pandora station called Pop and Hip Hop Power workout. I think I will like. DD 19 got me a commercial free membership for xmas. I think I will keep it up when it runs out. waves~~~
 
Jody-I was definetly seeing more results with the running. I didn't know salads were cheating I thought they were good for you?

SIL brought GS over for us to watch while he got a haircut and the poor baby screamed the whole time like something was hurting him and I think he has a sore throat.
