40's - week 8/12/12

Good Evening,

I went to the gym and did the elliptical for 30 minutes I wanted to go longer but by the time I bought a baby bouncer that dd found on Craigslist I lost some time.

Lisa-I feel the same way about stretching and yoga.

I did an hour long slow run this eve and then went to dance class. I may take tomorrow off. I think a yoga class would be a good start for me rather than a dvd. Roxie you've gotten a lot out of your time w/ pt and put in good effort, too. How long til baby?

Jody, class = peer pressure of not to bale. But class for me also = others seeing how inept I am at poses and how unflexible I am (I've never been flexible, no matter how much I tried).

I am a bit sad at a news story tonight. A dog was left at the top of one of the 14ers. The owner had to leave it behind because it got it's paws cut up and weather turned bad. But the truly awful part was that it was up there 8 days! Practically in the same spot they say. People saw it and finally some got together to rescue the 80lb dog. They had to carry it over a lot of treacherous terrain. Owner did finally come forward admitting it was them that left the dog, it will be up to the legal authorities if the owner should get dog back. Dog had no tags. I'm just so upset for that poor pooch. What she had to endure......

Just finished plyo legs and no equipment abs from ab circuits. I was doing great until the end, the last 10 min were tough. The abs seemed a little tougher today too. ???? I have been putting in extra with the workouts and feeling so tired. I could really go to bed again. Cathe has been kicking my butt extra hard this month - I have been upping the weights and going deeper so I guess I am feeling exactly what I should be feeling - like I got my butt kicked by Cathe. ;-)

Jody - glad to hear the good news! Yahoo.
Lisa - hope the muscles relax soon. I am sending toe wiggling vibes your way.
Roxie - glad to hear you are getting your butt kicked too. Money well spent.
Mary - ah yes, the back to school money drain. Actually, it feels like an around the school-year money drain...
Ronne - on vacation? I cannot remember.
Becky - shout outs to you.

Waves and high-fives to everyone.

Good Morning,

Tonite will be a run on the TM. Its suppose to be close to 100 today but I don't think it will make it, I am really enjoying these cooler temps.

Lisa-that is a sad story the owner doesn't deserve the dog back.

Jody-Sept 26 is the due date. My trainer is tough and I enjoy our time together.

Mary-I remember the back to school shopping days and it was no fun.

Murphy-good job kicking your own butt, I am hoping that once I am done with the trainer I can continue to kick my butt.

Well, I've started the wake up at 2 or 3 am cycle, sigh. So, needless to say I slept in. I hate the fact that while I was awake in the middle of the night, the brain wandered....to the dog story, to work, ugh. I hope to w/o tonight, UB, toes STILL a bit tender. Since I slept in and didn't w/o, I had good 2nd day hair, so an easy morning getting ready for work. I love that!

Roxie, it is getting so close! I bet you are getting excited!

Murphy, I need some good Cathe butt kicking! Good for you!

Mary, are you still rowing your boat to no where :) I need to get back into running....I will be very slow to start. I have all good intentions......

I'm not working out today since I'm busy and double dipped yesterday. I'm juggling a class and dance performance opportunity tonight, may take my final exam in EKG rhythms wearing bellydance regalia, lol.
Roxie, your life will be different w/ little baby around.
Lisa, if I loved my dog enough to hike with him, I'd find a way to get him back down the mountain; sounds like plain old dumb asses. Dumb idea + too doofy to turn around earlier. But then not to go back and get him? Eye roll. Maybe he'll end up in a better home. Maybe you should try to adopt?? ; )
Mary, I sorta wish my kids would shop a little more even tho we can't afford it, but both hate trying on clothes. But I love to see them wearing cute stuff. : )
Murphy, maybe I will try that ab workout, I have it but don't think I've attempted it yet. So many workouts, so little time.
Hi Becky and Vacation Ronne

Hi girls, today did PH and rower. Lisa, are you feeling any better? I have forced myself to do yoga once a week, I can't say I like it, but I do feel stretched out good. Jody, DD likes to shop, the boys not so much! I am a bargain hunter! Murphy, is DD feeling better? Roxie, not long and you will be holding that bundle! Well, oldest DS broke his wrist last night, we were stuck in the ER for 3 hours, I feel so bad for him. He is supposed to run as part of a relay team in a duelathlon on Sunday. DH is doing the same race. Dr said it should be ok. Today more school stuff, athletic meeting, have cleaned the house from top to bottom! Hope everyone has a good day! Mary

Mary, which wrist? Will he be able to write in school? I'm feeling better, can't believe how much that hike got me. At least I'm not losing a toenail like my GF is :)

Good Evening,

Tonite I did intervals on the tm with my trainer on the tm next to me she told me to walk only when I needed to.

Mary-hope ds heals quickly.

Hey I did TBT UB tonight! woot! funny story: I had the bright idea to put my gelatin treatment in my hair (it's jello dissolved in water and conditioner added), cover with plastic bag and ski cap. Well, 1/2way into the workout I was really sweating, then I figured out it wasn't sweat, it was JELLO! Stopped, took off hat, had to keep plastic bag on, secured with sweatband hoping to catch jello. I looked a mess, DH walked by once and had to do a double take! My shirt was sweaty, uh, no, it was jello-y. I won't attempt THAT again! I've done this same thing walking 30 min on a TM and never had this kind of mess! That Cathe really keeps you moving in that w/o that your HR stays up there!

Roxie, Was it intimidating working out next to the trainer? I bet it made you work harder!

Jody, Why are you hiding in the back of that picture on FB? Get in front girl!

Lol sorry but had to say I loved you're story! I can just see it in head what it looked like yyou. With a bag over your head a sweat band jello y and sweaty breathing hard.. you know Your DH had to wonder..I mean men wonder y we ggo through all we go through any way. Lol I bet mine would have said something to make me laugh more lol. Wasn't being a buttinsky but cute story.. love it!

Just finished STS M2W2 (ub work). I could have gone a little higher on the chest work but my elbow was screaming. It feels fine w/o weight but it was really bothering me during the w/o. ???? It probably knew I was dong a Cathe w/o and was nervous. :)

Lisa - two things -1. loved the jello story adn 2. losing a nail? What kind of hike was it?

Murphy

Lisa, managing Jello hair increases the intensity of the workouts by 10 percent, so good job. : ) Murphy, it seems you have been particularly consistent + hard hitter since the road trip.
Dance was fun yesterday. Lisa most of those girls are the main troupe, they danced for nearly 3 hours straight! I did end up taking my test in half bellydance garb and scored an easy 100%. Subbing for teaching class tonight so today may be another rest day.
Mary has probably rowed across Lake Eire by now. I was lol that house cleaned, too.
hi rox

Renee, Stay and hang out a while :) I guess I'm the goof of the group (it's close with Jody)...I'm just glad I'm feeling like my goofy old self (been a rough month). I'll be back later with personals and hopefully a w/o. I'm running late.....again....but at least this time I slept thru the night!

Hi girls! Today was TTM and I rowed my boat! Lisa, did DH have you for dessert? Haha! Glad you are feeling better. Jody, did you dance for 3 hours too? That would be quite a work out! Roxie, is it hard to work out with someone right at your side? I don't know if I would like it or do well with it, I think it would be hard to get all winded in front of someone. I'm goofy, I know! Murphy, you have been hitting it hard lately. DS broke his left wrist, he'll be able to do all his homework! Today is the pool again, only a few more days and they will be back at school. They have been so enjoyable this summer, I will miss them. Hope the day treats you all well, Mary

Good Morning,

Tonite is a PT session followed by more cardio just don't know what yet, I have been so tired since getting home that I can't get up in the mornings.

Lisa-funny story I too can picture it and yes it was intimidating but at least she was almost done with her running so she wasn't there very long thank goodness, the stupid thing was there were other TMs available I chose that one.

Mary-you learn when going to a gym not to let it bother you sometimes you have no choice the ellipticals are pretty popular.

Jody-I bet the outfit got you that 100% since you look sexy in it.

I managed to do TF HIIT 20 min. Left toe hurts when it hits the shoe when doing the burpees.

Murphy, When hiking down, even with well fitted hiking boots, the toes still tend to hit the front of the boot. So imagine that happening for 4.5 miles and for 4 hrs. I didn't feel it coming down (I normally do in the beginning of the hiking year), but boy do they hurt now. I've never had it lasting for a week, that was one heck of a hike!

Roxie, maybe you are used to just the lazy days of vacation?

Jody, it was a small price to pay for awesome hair today :) I guess wearing a plastic bag and ski hat in 90 degree weather makes your head so hot the jello starts melting down your face and back :)

Mary, I'm the same way, hate to have people hearing me huff and puff, even hiking I'll try to act like it's all good, no problems here guys as they pass me :)

Mary, I'm in the JV troupe or pee wee league nowadays, so I only performed (vay, drum, arada, habibi) so 4 songs, each twice. I subbed teach for dance last night. Meh. I'd like a few more weeks off before school rat race, too.

Lisa, I was considering tbt upper for today but I'm leaning toward gs instead. Ideally I'd get a good core, upper bod and leg intensive step interval done- But that's a lot of workout to chew!

Roxie, I was covered in my costume, but I have to say that I am much happier with how it is fitting these days! Re gym, I like ellipticals a lot when I used them.

Murphy, I've had some elbow pain when I increase my chest press wt, too. And Cathe should make all our body parts nervous!

Just finished TTM. I did most of it, had to modify the last set. I like this core better than CF - unless I blocked out CF, I can't remember it and it was not that long ago. ??? Anyway, I am 1/2-way through the rotation for this month. Of course that means that the month is almost over and then school starts again. I really need to go through the closets and see what I need to get the girls for school. Now I am really tired. :)
