Roxie u will have talikng about pg and baby w Dd. Waves to Ronn. tx for happy pet vibes and back at ya. All.

Hi all, I'm just telling ya up front, I'm not working out Saturday. It's midnight here and I'm up with heart beating out of control. I think I drank too much at the retirement dinner and alcohol is a depressant so heart is accomodating....being at a mile high doesn't help either (it is worse higher up in alititude I've noticed). Never happened when I was young! We had a VERY nice dinner, took a bit of scrambling to find ACTIVE IBMers for 1/2 the people. The people I work with came thru for me.

Roxie, Yoshi isn't eating yet, I would have started worrying, but vet called and her bloodwork looks really good, so I guess it will just take time for her system to flush. We will finish the bag of fluids and then she should be ok. Glad to hear your dog ate...it's hard when they don't eat!

Jody, how old is your dog? I have a lady on FB that runs a CRF page. I became close friends with her when I was treating my dog for CRF. Sounds like you caught it early which is good! What's the creatine and phosphorus? This group will help you come up with a diet (better than that RX stuff), help with subcutaneous fluids when that time comes, and supplements too. Our dogs phosphorus was very high so we found through this group about binder for her food. Also for our dog Pepcid made a world of difference. Again your dog sounds too early for this type of treatment, but it's never to early to learn and get involved and get preventative. Without this group I would have not gotten the last 3 wonderful months I had with my dog, and they helped me in her last year of life. lol about your dd

OK, I'm going back to bed, hoping my heart settles down...guess I can't party like I used to when I was young :p

Today I did Circuit Blast. It is one of my favorites. I really need to start recording the weights that I use. I could have gone heavier in some areas and should have done lighter in another.

Lisa - I hope you are feeling better. I guess the dinner went well?

Murphy

I finally got to sleep but woke up really early. I have enough sleep problems without messing up my sleep/wake cycles and adding alcohol to the mix! So on tap this afternoon is NAP-MAX!

Murphy, that w/o is one of my favs too.....I don't record the weights on that one either, I just use what Cathe does (unless I'm feeling weak then I bump them down a bit). Yes, the dinner was very nice. For those not on FB, here's pics if you want to view them (along with captions).

Roxie, you know we will be paying soon for all this beautiful weather!

Still touch and go with Yoshi, still not eating :(

What does everyone else have on tap?

Good Morning,

I went for a walk in the park I could only do 1 mile they were getting ready to have a 10k race and then I came home and did Kettle Worx Core Level 2 Week 2. I am starting to experience workout burnout I just don't want to which is horrible because I am seeing great results from being consistant, my shorts from last year are to loose. I am going to spend some time in the sun so I am not so white (I know its not good for me but I feel better).

Lisa-youngest DD brought over some soft food last night and it makes giving the dog his pill so much easier and he his appetite is really good he was alot more energetic last night but he still isn't drinking enough.

Jody-I hope your dog gets better.

Murphy-good job with your workout.

I completed chest, abs ctx All step plus a chunk from christi Taylor step heaven I think. I'll do circuit blast to9rrow, u guys making it sound fun. my dogs are 11.5 yrs old. Lisa I might have joined the k9renal list a yahoo groupi, is that the one u are talking about? they seem very intense, remind me of when I got guinea pigs, I built a 6 ft 2 level cage and bought gourmet hay from Montana. Too bad for the piggies, I eventually lost interest in that level of care.
I hope Lisa is feeling better. I'm avoidindg alcohol_ calorie, money sleep, just doesn't help me. Roxie sorry ur walk cut short. Ironic tho, couldn't walk have a good weekend all. Does anyone know if all the bugs are fixed on the website?at park cuz of a fitness event. ugh to using this trucking phone.

Hi girls! Another fabulous day here, it's amazing! I did a premix from AT this morning. DD had her last b-ball game of season this am. They were good, only lost 1 game. Lisa, hope you are feeling better. I know I sometimes wake up from my heart racing, then the hot flash arrives. Kind of like a pre-warning of what is coming! Hope Yoshi is doing well. Looks like you all had fun last night. Jody, aren't smart phones funny! Mine always seems to spell a different word than I want! Murphy, maybe you are inspiring all of us! Roxie, funny about the walk! Hope everyone has a great day, we are going out with friends tonight. Mary

Got groceries (there was nothing in the house as haven't had a chance to shop since we got back from skiing).

Jody, Yes the k9kidney yahoo group. You can take the level of intervention to what YOU want. They do not judge you, just try to help. One of the gals also has a FB group called CRF Dogs, she is great. I'm guessing your dog's numbers aren't too high right now, so doing just little things as preventative steps is all that is needed. When it's time then if you decide to kick it up with supplements, subq fluids, etc, it's YOUR choice for YOUR fur baby. I did things I never thought I would, but as long as my dog had a quality life (loved her walks still) I did what I could--after I put her to sleep, I actually had a "friend" tell me it was about time----puuuulllease, did I really need that guilt trip? Now that it's Yoshi's turn (she has high kidney numbers but not to where I really have to do anything), anyway, with Yoshi, I WON'T do all I did for Maddy-dog. Not because I love her less, but because for her, I don't feel jumping thru all those hoops is right for her---she's lead a full life (and keeps going---she's a tough one). Right now just giving her subQ fluids for the dehydration but I will NOT do it long term. Poor baby, when I put the needle in today I must have hit something, she bled and meowed real loud. Carolyn, the CRF dog lady, knows we are doing nothing heoric for Yoshi and supports my decision. Wow, what a soap box I got on :)

Roxie, don't beat yourself up too bad. I'm afraid to get on the scale!

Mary, woo hoo for dd! Maybe it was some menopausal thing....I know alcohol can bring on hot flashes for me too. I normally do NOT drink like this! It isn't everyday you celebrate 33 yrs in a company (and we joked that it was my celebration too for 24 yrs)---a total of 57 yrs for us in this company----wow!

Gonna eat lunch, and hopefully get a nice nap in, that partying wore me out! Good thing you only celebrate a retirement one in a lifetime :)

Good Evening,

I went for a walk out at DD's new place and it was really windy but a nice walk.

Lisa-its suppose to rain all next week and only be in the 60's so I am enjoying the nice weather while we have it.
