40's new in January 2014

Did KCM Cardio Quick fix. Loved W/O 1, a LI one, w/o 2 was drills, good, I'm just not a fan of drills. Loved the ab/glute bonus, a way to work abs without getting my neck involved!

Mary, not sure if work is getting more situated or if I just have accepted it will never change, I can WFH and not feel guilty since it's in my contract (and I make sure everyone knows I'm not getting special treatment). Seems they are gearing up for a furlough since they are asking for vacation plans for the year. I'll just milk the cow for as long as i can :) I tried those memory foam Rykas on, I didn't like them, I felt like I could walk out of them (I have a narrow heel and always have problems....the only narrow part of my body :) ) I am making some progress on the scale, slow and steady. Anyway I got a pair a while ago (haven't used them), forget what kind of Ryka they were. Hmmmmm, now the more I think about it, maybe it was the Sketchers with memory foam I didn't like and I ended up with the slip on ones(which I love for throwing on to go somewhere....hate tying shoes). um, I'm rambling.....

Ronne, I'm sure we Americans can get better at relaxing, anyone else here feel that way or am I just rambling here too?

Jody, I didn't get your ramble :) What is up with us rambling? lol

Roxie, GG has a dread factor for me.

I did FT TS#3 this morning before I went to work. Now its my turn to rant only I have 2 rants: The bosses owe me for 6 days of work they were paying me in cash but their DIL told them they couldn't do that anymore and the tax man called and I answered the phone so he knows I am working there so we decided that they would pay me cash for 2 days a week and a check for the other 2 days well last week they only paid me cash and my timecard is hidden under her stapler so I told them this week I want it all and I told DH if they are only going to pay me for 2 days then I am only going to work 2 days. Gas here is 3.08 a gallon I can't afford to drive up there everyday for nothing. 2nd rant: DD told that she was home with GS if I wanted to see him after I got off work and then when I did she told me he was sleeping and I didn't need to come out made me mad why even suggest it if you don't want me to come. All done feel better thanks for listening.

Lisa-its the day for rants must be the weather its windy as all get out here and cold.

Mary-I miss checking in with you guys during the day but I do read what you post.

Jody-no I didn't get GG done still behind on that one.
 
Roxie, I hear ya, that wind brings out the crankiness in all of us. Everyone I talk to is sick, sick, sick of the wind! I hope you workout you pay with the bosses, if I remember right you've had issues in the past with them paying on time.
 
Good morning! Today did 4DS KB and legs, haven't done that in years! It was long! Roxie, hope they pay you. I would be annoyed also about not being able to see GS, did she let you go look at him? I use to love to watch my babies sleep! Lisa, we have the wind also. We were supposed to go tobagganing last night, the wind was so bad we didn't go, went right thru to your bones. Mary - well done on the workouts. And specially for killing AB. I think you're two days ahead of me on the rotation. I presume the really Arctic weather in the US has finished now? I'm probably going trainer shopping tomorrow. Hope I can get a bargain.

Lisa - I never fancied Cardio Quick Fix but your review has got me thinking about adding it to my list.

Roxie - hope you get the pay problem sorted out.

CLB for me today. It was really hard, I seriously thought I was going to have to give up about round 7, but I managed to keep going.
No big weekend plans here. Going to town tomorrow with DD for a bit of shopping. Taking a rest day tomorrow as I can't do CLB followed by AB :confused:.
 
Did KCM Circuit Burn. I liked this one too except the ab section. I think the scale is moving, moving, moving. Maybe it's the different workouts I've been doing getting things moving (and of course good eating).

Ronne, I guess I'll be reviewing most of the KCMs :) there was some sections of Cirucuit Burn I couldn't do so followed modifier. some unique moves in here really worked the abs during the w/o so it's ok the ab section sucks. Hope I didn't overdo it.

Mary, someone actually approached and talked to me at work, ah, I'm not invisible :) What's really pissy is that of everyone brought back I'm the only one whose laptop was wiped and I'm the one that has the most unique tools needed on my laptop. I have it about set up (was actually easier than I thought it would be), but I'm not even trying to set up things to do call outs (so far no one has mentioned being on call and I'm not bringing it up, and if someone does, well, darn, I have to get setup for it :) ) I'll play their little game. Monday I will go do my fingerprints (hope they are open for Martin Luther King day and mail and email everything. hmmmmm, maybe I should walk to the police station instead of drive, that way they can pay me to walk....baaa haaaa haaaaa For some reason I'm staying away from teh GS w/o's since I can't use much weight, just seems like with light weight it woudl be a waste of time, what do you all think? I'm really enjoying my KCMs.

Well, off to fill out info for my fingerprint cards and confidentiallity stuff....that's why I had my personal laptop opened :) laters

I didn't sleep very well last night so no workout for me today. They gave me a raise today but I didn't think the bank was going to take my check because the company isn't on their list or computers.

Lisa-my paychecks use to bounce when I took them to the bank hopefully this one won't but I don't use the same bank that they do now. Circuit Burn is one of my favorites.

Mary-when he is sleeping she doesn't want anyone around.
 
Roxie, that sx. Lisa I'm with you. I think GS would be hard to modify for light wts, but you know what makes sense for you. Ronne, good luck w/ shopping and good job on workouts. Mary, you guys will have fun doing something. Waves to Murph. I figure Bch abandoned ship. I did LIC from start til 45 min and then I had to get to work to get some stuff done. I'm working tomorrow and my dancer buds just left. Its been a nice day but I'm sleepy. ttyl.

I did LLA TS#3 which was chair/firewalkers and bonus barre work then I did run/walk intervals on the TM. Now I need to go get some groceries which I really hate.
 
Hi all! Today did LIS UB trisets, just to mix things up. Roxie, I love puttering around the grocery store, just hate packing it up, taking it in and then unpacking! Jody, hope work goes well. Did KCM YBB, only did 2 sets of UB weights. This one gets a thumbs up too :)

Roxie, I woudln't mind the grocery shopping so much if someone would tell me what to make for dinners! or better yet cook for me sometimes!

Jody/Mary, thanks for the input for me on GS. I feel bad I have w/o's now I can't do and probably won't be able to do for at least another year (I really feel the weakness under left shoulder blade, right where all the knots were that the massage lady got out (had a few forming last time). I keep telling myself it will just take time. I don't want to get to pain like I was a t-giving or last week, it's crazy that it doesn't hurt while doing it, but wowzers, it isn't even DOM-like, it's just pain in the muscles when overdone. Hard to push it yet not push too far. :) I keep thinking where I was, I have made progress, so slow, I just hope to be able to carry a backpack by teh time hiking season comes.

I have to get going with the rest of my day, gonna walk the dogs (it's been nice last few days and next week look good too, yea!)
 
Lisa-I wouldn't mind grocery shopping if someone else paid for it. Its really windy here again today and tomarrow isn't suppose to be much better.
 
I didn't work today after all. I had a verbal scheduled day per the manager but it must have gotten changed or something and I was happy to come home and nap off and on today. (Someone did offer to let me stay for her but I opted for home, naps, laundry and bathroom cleaning) I also did about 40 min of a BM premix.

Lisa it is cool you are enjoying the KCM. I like that they are pretty easy to follow.

Roxie come to FL. We had cool air, blue skies, no clouds whatsoever, and no wind to speak of. You would have liked it. I agree, I like grocery shopping better when I feel ok about how I spend the money rather than impulse buys etc that could be avoided w/ some planning and lists.

Mary, what are you and the kids up to? I bet you have lists most of the time (re shopping).

I also watched a movie. Tina Fey and Paul Rudd, title? IDK it was on HBO and I just stumbled on it but it was good. I should have gone to see my mom.
I don't know whether to work on homework or just go to bed early, I'm still yawning. 11-11 work tomorrow.

PS, I also rewatched part of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (loved) and was reminded that I saw this http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0631490/?ref_=tt_cl_t6#actor Bill Nighy in a plaza by my house. DD recognized him from Harry Potter as I recognized him from Best Exotic. Cool, huh?

Did KCM TLC. Good core moves that are standing that doesn't hurt my neck. Even if I can't punch like I used to (left shoulder blade muscle weak/hurting), still got a good w/o.

Roxie, Was a bit perturbed with DH acting like a sick cow (he caught a cold his last trip to MI---he admited to only wearing short sleeves??wth) so I went and did the grocery shopping just to get away. Crowded! Grocery store had free hot dogs/cookies because of the AFC champ game today and everyone was there buying all their goodies for their tailgating I guess. We aren't THAT into football and I can't ruin my diet no matter what!

Jody, KCM is different which I'm liking (sorry some of Cathe's are SSDD--same stuff different day), she is very personable and wow, what a body and she is 50 something? yea I guess bchgirl abandoned us?

Mary, got to thinking more about GS (and other heavier w/o). So, if I have 1/2 the # of tendons in my neck (the fused ones will atrophy, and boy, you'd never think the neck was so involved with UB lifting), anyway, since I'm avoiding jumping because I want to preserve my other discs in my neck, then maybe it does stand to reason that I should avoid too heavy UB lifting for same reason. Might ask massage lady about that, but what do you all think? my reasoning is, if I have 1/2 the # of active tendons, then I shouldn't expect to lift more than 1/2 the amount I lifted before. So, if I lifted 15 in GS, that would be 8, and is there a benefit with that type of w/o with only lifting 8. Hope that makes sense. I do think KCM is just what my body needs to shake things up (in a good, sensible way).

We are going out for sushi for lunch, the whole fam....laters...

I was a good girl and did Yoga Relax but boy is stretching boring but the body needed it. Its another windy day here today but suppose to be in the 60's Dh and I are going into town later he wanted to get the bikes out of storage but because of the wind decided not to.

Lisa-you are braver then I am I never went anywhere when we lived in our old town on a home football or basketball game the grocery stores were packed, and your logic makes sense I think you can get the results you want from KCM she is coming out with a heavier wt workout that she used to do at the age of 25.

Jody-you are right Florida is where I need to be.

Mary - what a nice surprise from DH. Don't forget, you're ALLOWED to take a rest day! So are the kids back at school and everything back to normal now?

Lisa - mmm, sushi!! I would go with the others and not bother with GS. You could always do things like ME or HR with half weights. They're endurance workouts rather than muscle-building. Or you could try X-train non Burn Sets. You've probably got loads of other weight workouts you can do with lighter weights, so don't beat yourself up about not using two!
Your KCM reviews (and Jody's) are making me want to get a couple more of hers.

Roxie - well done on the stretch, your body will thank you for it!

Jody - glad you got a day to catch up. I love those kind of days! I love Bill Nighy, he's always worth watching even if the film isn't that great.

Took a rest day on Sat, yesterday was supposed to be AB, but I had to work in the morning and I really felt like I needed to get out of the house. So I went for a nice walk instead. Took my new smartphone with me and took some arty shots of waterlogged fields and shadows. Then came back and did half an hour of unwinding yoga.
Ticked AB off today though. Was supposed to go and meet other homeworkers for lunch but cried off because I'm just too busy. This week is going to be crazy for work again.
Didn't get any trainers on Sat - it was all about DD!
 
Good morning! Today did CF, always fun. Ronne, that's what always happens when I go shopping and the kids come, they make out like bandits! They go back to school tomorrow. Martin Luther King day. I did LICh today, needed a break for my arm movements. I did read up on how other's who've had this surgery have the tender places like I do, so I'm trying to hold out hope for the year mark that it will be better. Gave some thought as to my goals and they are endurance based (hiking, being able to carry a heavy pack---I know seems like a weird goal). It was interesting reading other's stories and how blissful it was for them to finally be able to sleep on their side. So, all of what I'm experiencing is normal, I have to remember this is my new normal! Hard headed German I am ! lol

Mary, work is boring, I guess they can't give me anything until I get all the paperwork for this special acct. Went for fingerprints today (it's staffed by volunteers, well even volunteers take off MLK day, even though their phone msg said they did it on Mon/Tues), so I get to try to do that again tomorrow. I think I have most things set up and I'll figure out what I'm missing as I come to it. I dislike bowling too, I suck, something like 69-70, pathetic! But as long as you have fun!

Jody, your besties pictures looked like you have a lot of fun.

Ronne, hey since we are both homeworkers we should meet for lunch, or better yet, a walk! Tag, you can come here first ;) lol Speaking of walk, I really should take the dogs out even though I showered already (to get my fingerprints done). Tomorrow I know I won't get them out because I'll be resting in afternoon after massage (my head feels so wobbly afterwards--then some pain can set it at night).

Roxie, stretching is boring :) I tried to one of the yoga bonus on one of the KCMs, but by end of a w/o, it's just too taxing holding my arms in someof the poses, not to mention now that I'm working I have to hurry things along to get back online for appearances for work.

My workout log is pretty sparse, esp from the 7th to the 16th. Anyways....I did the balance of that BM2 pm, I added the warm up then picked up where I'd left off for about 50 min. I've got that new KCM Shape Up on- previewing. It wasn't on sale but it looked good to me. Still does so far. No back up gals, I don't mind that. I think ladies like Jai, et al are most inspiring to workout out with.
Lisa, how was Lich? Yes, I have fun w/ the belly besties.
Mary, I like to bowl, too. I scored 131 once but that was an aberration.
Ronne, good workout management. My SG3 doesn't take great pics, imo. My kids' Iphone pix come out nicer. Oh I wish I had a magic filter that would help me take selfies I like!
Roxie, did you guys watch the football games this weekend? I guess we are close to Superbowl now.
Murph, we are indeed all pulling for you and keeping you in thoughts and prayer.
