40s+ June - Where's the sun?

CTX UB today. Not a great sleeping night, I did get in an awesome nap yesterday and then we have DS dog so I hear him during the night. I bet tonight will be better, I'm going to try not to nap and DS dog will be gone. I think summer time is almost here, 90's are here, now we can complain about the heat! Lol! Ronne, enjoy the slow Spell! Roxie, Lake, fun! Mary, hope you get the pool in, I've managed to putter away my day!

Mary - yes, I think it is actually. I do like it. She does each body part (including legs and an abs section), using drop sets, going from 8 to 10 to 12 reps and decreasing the weights. There are some different exercises and it goes at a nice pace. And you can pick out which bits you want to do as the whole thing is 90 minutes long. There's a long stretch section which is nice. I know what you mean about her workouts but I think this is one of her best ones.

Imax 3 done! Felt like challenging myself. Also done my tax return for the year - another challenge completed!
Father's Day on Sunday so we're going out to a nature reserve for the day as that's DH's favourite thing.

B&G today, ugh, Ronne why did you have to do this recently because that's why I did it! Hard for me! I will not do Imax 3! Mary, up early but not too tired, fitbit did show a restless night. Humid here, ugh, this is why I left Florida! Everyone enjoy your weekend, I think there's a rest day in my future!

I did KCM Cardio Pump Kickboxing yesterday and Split Session Lower Body this morning. We had a farewell party last night for a couple of people so I didn't make it on. My youngest DD told me they had to put her dog down it broke its back and I now feel getting for making her get rid of it before we moved. Oldest DD, SIL and GS are coming down tomorrow to spend the night and go to the lake on Sunday for father's day.

Lisa-good job with your workout and the humidity is getting old.

Mary-I think Cathe's new series will be worth the money.

Ronne-Imax 3 Step is one of my favorites.

I took the weekend off exercising, needed a break. Went to town with DD on Saturday and ended up spending £100 on clothes for her!! Nothing for me apart from a pot of moisturiser. Oh well ...
Had a lovely day out yesterday. Went to a bird reserve about 60 miles away. We went on a trip around the reserve with a couple of the rangers there who were so knowledgeable, we learnt loads.
Did Mindy Mylrea Intensity Overload about 45 mins.
 
I took the weekend off too, but because my neck was so fatigued and hurting. I felt it during the pizza presses (I could hardly hold my head up), but pushed thru, bad idea! So UB and then LB next day with holding weights or holding head horizontally needs to not be done on consecutive days. It's so hard thoough because my right knee hurts so can't do step (heck just walking makes it hurt). I swear it's hormonal. Will see what they say today. We celebrated DH birthday Friday night with the kids and sig others, I was such a crab from neck pain and I think my hormones was not right. They were so good about not pointing out what a crab I was.
Ronne, I don't like birds! I'm scared of them, I don't like any kind. I must have been traumatized as a kid. I don't like them flying around as it looks like they are going to attack me. Kids laughed when they were young as I couldn't be in the bird exhibit and hold nectar for them to land on you.
Oh, I did KCM Muscle Definition, both workouts, with light weights (beginner level, oh well). At least I'm doing something! I feel like a wimp though!
 
Nothing exciting at dr. They're confused. Said for some reason my brain isn't getting the signal to ask for more estrogen like it should when you're in menopause (that's why fsh is low). Fsh is low at 15 estrogen low at 19 even with patch, so nurse practitioner said since labs are not matching symptoms now (ie I'm feeling better), we'll stay with patch and retest in a month, added in testosterone to test next time. They'll just email me the info next time. So I'll see how it goes. Patch does seem easier than cream. Not sure why my knee continues to hurt, guess I'll take advil when it hurts too much.

I had the worst migraine of my life last night my ears and teeth hurt slong with my head it was awful and it still hurts but not as bad.

Lisa-I asked the doctor to put me back on BC pills I just can't handle the endometriosis pain and the cream doesn't seem to help praying for menopause soon.

I probably won't be around tomorrow as I'm off for my belated Mother's Day facial and massage. Looking forward to it, I've not had a treat like that for ages.

Spinning today! I woke up at 3am but got back to sleep on my own (I swear I'm still anxious about not sleeping and that can cause me not to sleep!) I feel like my body is responding to the patch slowly...I have full boobs! No longer flat tires! LOL Roxie, are you cycles heavy? Mine were from 38 - 42 at which point I did an ablation, then at 47 they disappeared. Maybe you're near the end, but meno isn't much better but it is nice not having to plan around TOM! Mary, isn't fun seeing them grow up and all the exciting things for their future!? Ronne, I'm really excited about the new series, I have a reminder to order after the 1st of the month (when I get my new month's allowance....lol)

I did KCM TLC Conditioning before work. My headache is gone today and not TOM pain so not a bad day.

Lisa-I just want to get rid of the pain that goes with my cycles and not be on birth control anymore. Cycles are not as heavy as last month it all depends.

Mary-what did you do for a workout.

I started with DM, during 1st drill, my neck was hurting (probaby from computer last night looking for a sewing project to do for my friends birthday), so I stopped and did MMA fusion minus the crazy rolly polly drill 2. I'm so proud I stopped instead of pushing thru and because it's soooo humid I don't think I could have finished DM. I feel like I need a better sports bra even with doing little impact, ah, I'd say the estrogen is working. Roxie, pain sucks! especially when it reoccurs on schedule!

Lisa - well done! Very sensible. It was interesting working out today after my massage yesterday, I was much more aware of my shoulders and making sure I wasn't hunched. (Although I think most of the neck and shoulder tightness is from sitting at the computer rather than workouts.)

Mary - sounds like a really good experience for the kids.

Really enjoyed the massage and facial. The place I went to wasn't that great but the massage was good. There were some real knots in my shoulders round the shoulder blades. She worked hard on them, I felt as flat as a pancake after it! Made me think I should have massages more frequently.
Did S&G today. Not done that for ages. I actually felt the biceps works for the first time.
 
Today I did 4DS LB weights and then DWP. I think my knee is starting to feel better. I still think it was lack of estrogen and now that I'm building that back up it's not as sore. Doc did confirm that low estrogen can cause joint aches and patch should have helped them, well, I just think it took time for it to build up. Oh I so hope I'm right!

Ronne, ah yes, I'm very familiar with those shoulder blade knots. I'm sure computer adds to them. I'm more convinced everyday that losing my job was the best thing for me. Foam rolling is helping those knots stay away (for the most part), I spend 10 min a day after my workout rolling on that thing. I concentrate on relaxing into the foam roller and wrapping my shoulder blades around it. Do snow angels, then there is lifting your arms up vertically and going back (like a pull over). For the top shoulder blade knots that my massage lady says it's hard to foam roll out, I've found a spin on one of the other moves I learned in PT. Glad you enjoyed your massage! Mine feels good that day then the next day my muscles are sore-ish (yes I drink lots of water), it's just because I still have issues. One day I hope to be close to normal, who'd have thought it'd take this long? not me, I guess I'm such an optimist! lol

GS BSB today. Mary, are you sure you posted? Not much else here, DH and I went out for Mexican food, saw a guy there adding salt to the chips, seriously? With his size and salt habits I was worried he'd have a heart attack then and there! Such an exciting day!
 
Step blast, decided to try my knee out on step. I sucked wind and only did half of the challenge, I'm blaming the heat and humidity, just seems to sap me of energy! Have a good weekend all!
