40's - Happy Mother's Day!

Hey ladies! Getting us started off. I think I'm vegging out today. Company left, DS23 now off on his honeymoon, DH to NJ for work, not sure what DS20 is doing. So Yoshi and I lay claim to the couch (too cold for the hammock). We hiked 3.5 miles on Friday (1000 ft elevation gain), then 4.5 miles Sat at Garden of the Gods (not much elevation gain). My body is tired. I have slept good these last couple nights. So I'm glad to get life "back to normal" (except for the going to work part!).

How was everyone's Mother's Day. I have to live vicariously through you all.

Lisa, Congrats on all the wedding stuffles! Enjoy the relaxing day on your own.

So far I've worked out (the X-Factor week 1), dropped van for new tires, rode bike home 3 miles and had a kale banana smoothie. I'm babysitting this afternoon. I'd like to dance, but prob won't get to today.

Murphy, Roxie and Ronne, I hope your hubbies and kiddos give you a special mothers day.

I spent yesterday with my mom, which was nice. On Friday,I spent about 4 hours at Ikea just wandering around getting ideas for the home and my room and eating meatballs. I only bought one counter stool and a few inexpensive doo dads. I also went to Sawgrass Mills mall, that place is huge. I found a pair of shoes at the Nieman Marcus outlet marked down 50 percent to a mere 255 dollars! 8 O

Good Morning,

Today hubs the girls and I are going to a high school graduation together which means I get to see my mom and sister and nieces and nephews. Little momma gave me the pioneer womans new cookbook.

hey everyone, I finally peeled my lazy self off the couch and did CTX UB, yea me! It's been probably 2 weeks since I've done UB.

Jody, did you buy those bargain shoes?

Good job on CTX UB Lisa. No way in H*** that I would buy those shoes! Not in budget and fine Italian leather doesn't go with wife beaters and jeans anyway!

I just had a really nice evening with new date I met from dating site. Really nice. zoiks.

Hi all

Lisa - looks like it was a lovely day on Thurs. You all looked like you were having a great time. Where have the newlyweds gone for their honeymoon? I bet it is nice to sit back and relax after all that excitement (and work!). What was the venue, a hotel?

Jody - woo hoo!! good for you. Glad you had a nice time!

Well, I'm still fighting this cold. It's a stinker. So no workouts for me over the weekend. We finished early on Sat in London so I did manage to do a bit of shopping and treated myself to some makeup. Going to do YM today. I'm just not up to doing anything more strenuous but I feel like I've got to do something!

Hi girls! No w/o yesterday. Not sure what I will do today. Jody, what kind of shoes were they? I went to Barney's in Vegas one time, found a pair of boots for $1900!? They would never touch the ground! I have been to that mall, it's amazing! Ronne, hope you feel better soon! Roxie, how was the graduation? I have looked at that cookbook. Lisa, are you rested? I haven't done that w/o in forever! Murphy, how did your day go? DH took the kids to the movie, Avengers, I went shopping , then we went out to lunch. A nice day. Have to go to the dentist to get my crown fixed, then the grocery store, his b-day is tomorrow, have to make dinner. Jody, where did your date take you? So, you like this boy? Have a good one! Mary

My legs feel like they have lead in them but I did get through RS. Going to go mow the lawn (I'm sneezing just thinking of it). Then will probably do some hammock reading (I feel so guilty taking these mondays off and DH is working hard).

Ronne, Feels good to have it behind us, but a bit of a let down from having a nice time (despite the fact I really do not like her parents). Wedding was at a place designed just for weddings. Denver Wedding Venues | Denver Corporate Events | The Chateaux At Fox Meadows in Broomfield, CO The kids went on a cruise on Royal Caribbean to Bahamas, St. Thomas, and St Martaan (or however you spell it). After DS gets back, he's home for 5 days then he goes to Spain for work, then flies back to CO for 5 days then flies to Geneva, Switzerland for training for work. Good thing he is young because he is going to have some serious jet lag! Too bad DH can't get some trips like that (but then I'm having a hard time leaving the cat.....she's getting so dependant on us) Hope you feel better soon!

Mary, sounds like you had a nice MD. More dental work?

Jody, Mary sounds like your mother asking if you like "the boy" haha What do older singles do on dates these days?

Roxie, how was graduation and your MD?

Murphy, how's the time going with MIL (maybe she's gone by now...I'm out of the loop).

Off to the grass....

Lisa, it was a nice dinner at casual dress but high quality seafood place, bottle of wine, walk on the beach date. He was a nice guy to meet, someone I felt comfortable with very quickly and there was easy conversation all evening. I just liked him. Good chemistry, too. We'll see.

Mary, No idea what designer shoe, just Italian Leather. What makes leather Italian anyway? Do the cows eat lasagna? But I'm guessing they would have been comfortable. 1900 boots? Well, I think any 1900 pair of boots would be made for walkin' (cue Nancy Sinatra Nancy Sinatra - These Boots Are Made For Walking HD - YouTube )

Murphy, can you get your workouts in while you have holiday and visit chaos?

Roxie, how was your visit w/ family? Things settle down w/ the Hubs?

Ronne, good for you for taking care of yourself and staying on track w/ workouts.

My workout today was 5k run to pick up my van from tire place. I'm liking the Weider x-Factor. I'm going to keep doing them 3 days a week and do Cathe or runs or something on other days when I can. I had spinach and frozen mixed fruit smoothie this morn.

Hi all. Glad to hear all are doing well and made it through the weekend. I took the little ones to the air show. We met my sister and her family there. The kids played with each other and the adults sat and enjoyed the show. I have the "farmer's tan." One arm is tanned (slightly red/burned) from my shirt sleeve down. We were partially under teh shade. I was out in the sun a bit to give the kids more room. My was sister was intermittently holding a baby and I did not want to put him in the sun.

No workout Sunday, my "assistants" got up way earlier than usual and I could not get a workout in. Last night my stomah was really bothering. I finally got out of the "library" and started to fall asleep when the little one wakes me up to tell me she has to go to the bathroom and does not want to be alone. Ugh. Then later, she wakes me up again to tell me her throat hurts. It is not 4 am, I have not slept much if at all, and the alarm goes off at 4:50 am. I had to skip today, I just could not do it.

Took MIL to the airport Saturday. Cursed DH all the way b/c he or one of his siblings was supposed to do it and I had to drag two kids up there (a little over an hour) plus an adult with the dementia. The ride was actually bearable to and from and we got a good parking spot and so forth. I prayed on it before I left and thanked God when we got home.

Hi's to all.

Good Morning,

Wow its been busy on here. I have had a busy morning and the bosses finally went to lunch so hopefully I can get caught up. I am working with my personal trainer tonite and then DH and I are headed off to Sams for some stuff.

Jody-things with the hub are going great and it was sad seeing the last of the nieces and nephews graduate, hard to believe she is that old. My dad died when she was 18 months old so she missed having a very special man in her life. Good luck with the new man.

Lisa-sounds like a beautiful place to have a wedding. Sorry to hear the cat is getting worse. Mothers day was great had both of my girls with me.

Murphy-after spending time with my mother I feel sorry for you and understand your frustration. Good job with the workouts.

Mary-sounds like a great way to spend mothers day except for the movie part. The cookbook is great it even has picture instructions.

HI all. Just finished TBT LB. I am really trying to focus on the dixie cup stuff. I need to lift my booty. I guess I could just let it go and drag behind me - I won't need bread crumbs, just follow the trail. :) I wish there was more ab work in the LIS series. I know the abs are worked during the workout, I just like the "personal ab attention".

Howdy to everyone and have a great day.

Murphy

Murphy, ugh to long unnecessary car ride w/ kiddos but lols at trail.
Lisa, did you get the grass done? I like lawn work sorta, but with a buddy. And prob not if it made me sneeze.
Roxie, your grandbaby will be the start of a new crop then, right? Glad you had a nice day.
Ronne, I hope your cold is improving.
Mary, have some fun with hubby on bd today. What are you cooking? You posted stroganoff a long while back and I've been wanting to make it ever since.

I'm prob gonna take a rest day since I'm running from 8a to 10pm. I'm disappointed, I was looking forward to my x-factor but I'll do it tomorrow. Have a nice one all!

Morning! Today will be either PUB or Amy's Rumble. Have to decide when I get there. Murphy, funny about the ab's, I avoid them as much as I can. I hear you on lifting the back end, feels like a never ending battle. Jody, that sounds like a long day. How do you like that system? I saw a clip, it looks like they move soo fast! Roxie, how was the trainer? What did she make you do? Ronne, how are you feeling? Any better? I did YR last night, thought of you. On a side note, I slept like the dead after doing it last night! I did AT leg premix in the morning. Lisa, did you watch the Bachorlette? I hope she doesn't get on my nerves! I mad a chicken almonds casserole for dinner, the kids made him a 4 layer cake, hopefully tastes better than it looks! Have a good day! Mary

Hi all

Apologies for very brief posting today. Did some incredibly slow, easy yoga. When I did YM yesterday, I had to sit down at one point as I felt faint! Ridiculous. Feels like the cold might just be starting to ease off (I'm such a wimp, aren't I?!!).

Work is really busy, just had to ask for a deadline extension! Good to read all your news, sorry I just can't manage personals today!

Good Morning,

Here is what I did last night every time I go its something different. Squats with 15lbs for 20 seconds, squat jumps with the same wt for 20 seconds, one leg at a time back lunges for 20 seconds, jumping back lunges for 20 seconds, one-arm upright rows 10 each, and tricep extensions same wt on all 10 times and then we repeated this 3 times then she had me do half burpees for 20 seconds x2, and mountain climbers 20 secondsx2. Tonite is some kind of cardio and abs plus a much needed stretch even though right now I am not hurting.

Mary-trainer is evil but she makes the time go by quickly.

Jody-no my brother has a bunch of grandkids and my sister has one I am the late one to the party.

Murphy-I am like Mary don't like traditional abs to boring.

Hi girls! Well, I did the sleeping in thing, so no w/o for me. I think I'll do core max tonight. I feel my abs have been neglected.

Ronne, sounds like quite a cold (no you are NOT a wimp), and quite a lot of work. Maybe the stress is causing you not to get well as quickly.

Roxie, what a cool w/o with the PT. It's a race between my brother and I as to who is a grand first. My sisters neither have kids, but one is a step-grand. For some reason I don't count that, is that bad?

Mary, I have bachelorette dvr'd, should get to watch it this week sometime.

Jody, I'm loving the blueberry, pineapple, spinach smoothie, my fav so far.

Murphy, you survived another MIL visit ! :)

Good Evening,

Tonite I did KCM's KBXing #1 w/Abs and TBS needed the stretch. I had to deal with dd's student loans again this month.

Lisa-no that is not bad, my niece adopted 2 kids I don't except them.
