40's - Happy Mother's Day!

Good Morning,

Dh called me at 5:30 to wake me ups so I could go to spin class and I really enjoyed it this time since my butt was already sore from our other bike ride. I did 12.1 miles this morning. I was in a really good mood until the boss lady walked into work now I am like who the f**k cares.

Lisa-thankfully DH quit smoking 2 1/2 years ago so we could get more insurance coverage on him. Sorry things are so tough right now but it sounds like you got a good workout in.

Hello

Lisa - when I read this stuff about health insurance, life insurance, etc. etc. I must admit I'm glad I don't live in the US! Apart from anything else, the hassle of dealing with all this is just such hard work and so draining!! Anyway, hope DH gets a new account closer to home.

Roxie - never fancied a Bosu either. I could just imagine me bouncing off and landing on the TV!

Jody - some interesting choices!! Especially the breast book, let us know what it's like. Not read anything brilliant for a while I must admit, I'm in need of a really good book.

Mary - you seem to be doing two workouts a day at the moment, can you please explain?!! :p

Did a 37 min premix from LICh. Just right. Got a busy weekend ahead, out for dinner with friend tonight, off to London again tomorrow and got friends coming for lunch on Sunday!! Needless to say there won't be any workouts fitted in! Have a good one everyone.

I forgot to mention there were these two large ladies in spin class that just kept yapping at each other and at one point yelled across the class to someone else, I ask the instructor if they were there every morning and she said pretty much and she understood that they were annoying.

Ronne-sounds like a fun weekend.

x-factor week 2 done. 35 min not counting cool and stretch. : ) Challenging and do-able. I'm also listening to fun mix of music from Christina Aguilera and other hip hop/pole music during the workout. Shopping w/ bestie in a bit--oops, better shower!

Roxie, I totally understand that work feeling! Hang in there, vent here :) Is the butt sore from the seat? I couldn't do it if my butt was sore so good for you. I despise smoking, I think because I saw first hand what it did. Mom major stroke and passed at 72, Dad lung cancer spread and passed at 69. All due to years of smoking. Now I wonder about all that second hand smoke I inhaled all those years!

Jody, enjoy shopping, sounds fun!

Ronne, do you all have national ins or something (I'm ignorant about what other countries have). Yes, the ins is maddening. And we know not to get Jody started on it! lol Sounds like a fun weekend planned. How do you "play" so much and not see it on the scale?

Lisa-both of my parents smoked and dad died of prostate and bone cancer at the age of 54 mom is still kicking and DH's father died of COPD from all the years he smoked so I was happy when DH decided to quit. My butt is a little sore but not as bad as yesterday after our 9 miler. I am ready to go in the morning and then DH and I are going for a ride Saturday night.

Hi girls! Today did a Bob Harper w/o, a little evil! Roxie, it's the weekend! You won't have to see boss lady again til Monday! Lisa, hope all works out. You know it will! We all have our issues, that's for sure! Jody, have fun shopping! I know about the garage sales, weird? They start on Thursdays here, then you can usually find some on Fridays and Saturdays. Ronne, sounds like a great weekend! Enjoy! Murphy, how is everyone feeling? Have to run some errands, mary

Hi all. I went the powerwalk route in honor of the nice weather. Some ab work may be on the menu for later.

Ronne - I had to laugh at your "bosu landing on the tv" comment. I could just see myself doing that too. Plus, the kids would want to use and I can just imagine all the fingerprints on the ceiling.

Good Evening,

Tonite I went to the gym and did the elliptical and I have decided that tomarrow morning I need to do upper body my legs are about done and DH and I are going for a bike ride tomarrow night.

DH and I walked 2.5 miles tonight.

Roxie, you must have some noodle legs after all the work you've put them through!

Just finished Turbo Barre in its entirety. I usually do a premix but his time I did the whole thing. I am sure I will be feeling it tomorrow. OMG. I am off to walk in the township Memorial Day parade. Yes, my legs and calves will be talking to me tomorrow.

I want to do 30 min of step...considering pm from Intensity, CW, LICH, 4DS H or L, Imax 3. Curses, so many choices, bbl w/ report.
And WTG Murphy on TB. That isn't currently one of my faves.

I went w/ IMAX3 step only from all 10 intervals, easy workout but helpful to learn the step portion of this imax, I've only done it once I think.
Lisa, your walk w/ dh sounds nice.
Roxie are you doing upper body w/ cathe or at gym? Waves to all, I hope you have a nice weekend.

Hi girls! Today did a Brook Burke, bought it a while ago, finally gave it a try. It was ok. Lisa, you got DH to do some cardio? What a great way to hang out together, when I walk with mine, he does a run/walk, but I have to run to keep up with him! Murphy, doesn't the time fly in TB? It's so long, but it feels much shorter, weird. Jody, godd job on imax3. That's a hard one! Roxie, is your buttbsore from all the bike riding? Not sure what we will get into today, have a good day! Mary

Happy weekend! Today I did GS BSB --- I channeled Roxie and did UB, I don't have that much energy to do cardio but I had enough to lift my normal weight.

Mary, I guess instead of walking the dog I'll be walking the DH now :) We did have a nice time! We did more of a good walk, no running no rushing, just enjoying the outdoors, scenery, etc. Went in a hilly portion that opens up to a beautiful view of the mountains! Beautiful flowers (nice houses backs up to this trail--so some nice landscaping too). We did talk about how we enjoy looking at the scenery whereas when we hiked with my sister's husband, all he did was put his nose down and walk as fast as possible. I like to take in the sights.

Murphy I despise TB. Jody and I tend to go for the dancier ones which I know you don't like.

Jody, I may have to try that w/o some morning when I'm short on time. I think I MAY try to do more 30 min cardio w/o's on my work mornings, then lift 30 min at night. Yea, it's a plan anyway :)

It's rainy here, a puuuuurrrrfect day for relaxing indoors cuddled up. Glad I got grocery-max done yesterday. I must have needed a lot, did the walmart thing, health food store and reg grocery....spent $600  Groceries are soooooo much more expensive than a few yrs ago!

Good Evening,

I went to the gym this morning and used some machines to do my upper body and when I was leaving discovered another bunch of machines I wish I would have done and then I came home and did TF Stretch 10 and then Ab add on from Basic Step and then DH and I went for a 7.2 mile bike ride my body is officially done for tomarrow will be a rest day or more stretching. Its suppose to rain here tonite.

Lisa-yeah my legs feel like noodles. Glad you got DH to walk with you.

Jody-I like the step work in that workout I don't do the Intervals.

Mary-its more the crotch area I keep sliding forward on the seat, we even have gel seats.

DH and I did a 2 mile walk. Nice cool evening. I did have a migraine today, even had aura with it. Finally dawned on me, that even though I didn't get congested from allergies, I typically will get a headache. Need to try to remember to use my nose spray BEFORE I go out in it!

Roxie, have you tried padded bike shorts? I have a gel seat on my bike and the shorts help a lot. How long do you have this gym membership for?
