Here we go again with another week! :D

I did BM2 Double Upper Body premix today, boy did my arms feel it! Tomorrow I have Low Max on tap.

Hi everyone!

Heres some good news. My darling, darling husband, said to me, "You've lost more weight!" What a darling man! I couldn't tell you how much weight I've lost, because I don't step on the scales. But at least he noticed! Its not a lot of weight yet, but I'm determined to get there!

Lisa - I appreciate and understand you not wanting to harp on things, but how are you doing?

Kathyrn- We havn't heard from you in a little while. Is everything O.K.?

Hi to Vilma, Murphy, Rhonda, Mary, and Ronne if I've forgotten anyone I am sorry

Hi Ladies

The Kettlebell Way for me today.

Lisa how are you doing? I was away from
the forums for a few days and haven't had time to go back. Hope all is well.

Andrea nice news that your dh has notriced your efforts ^5s

Hi Ladies

Did Drill Max today. Nice to be back working out again. Haven't lost too much fitness tho' so did manage to complete it :D

Lisa - that double upper body premix is a killer - I've only done it once as it's so scary! Well done you!

Andrea - congrats on your DH noticing - makes it all worthwhile doesn't it?!

Vilma - glad to see you back here and back working out. Hope you're in an illness free household!

Hope all have a good day.

I'm back!

Good morning! I forced myself out of bed and did Push/Pull. I needed an easier workout, since I did MIC yesterday afternoon after I got back from ...

...CAMPING! Yes, I went camping for the weekend with my son's Boy Scout pack. The weather was nice -- very mild with sunshine and a clear blue sky! I haven't camped since I was a teenager, but reluctantly agreed to do this so my daughter could go along on the trip. She's a nature girl, so she had a lot of fun!

I didn't really love MIC ... the step was fun but I didn't care for the high-impact part at the beginning. I'm making the effort to do workouts I've never tried before (and have owned for years), so that's one I can check off my list.

Andrea, the unsolicited compliment is so motivating, isn't it? It's nice that your DH noticed; nicer still that he said something to you! It makes you feel like all of that hard work is worth it!

Vilma, your love of kettleball workouts has motivated me to go on collage video later today and check them out. You must really enjoy them (or else they give you a good workout), or you wouldn't do them so often! I'm trying to be choosy about the new workout stuff that I buy (especially in this economy :( ).

Lisa, I have LowMax on my schedule for tomorrow also! I'll think of you as I enjoy some low-impact cardio (especially after MIC)! And you did double upper body from BodyMax 2? You really will feel that! I've never done double anything! DH and I did BodyMax on Saturday and I managed bicep curls with a 40-lb barbell, but I'm still sore from it. I'll admit that was a little too heavy and my form suffered on the last couple of reps, but I got through it!

Well, I've got to get to work. Have a good day, everybody!

Ronne - Yes so far so good; seems the cold bug decided not to stay at my house. Thank Goodness! The family & I seem to be healthy again.

Kathryn when I was a Girlscout leader I took my troop out camping twice a year. I had two troop the Juniors and Cadettes and Seniors. It was fun. But after 7 yrs I burned out lol

I am really enjoying kettlebells as I am getting DOMs as if I were using Cathe's heavy weight w/os.

They are fun and I am just glad I finally decided to try them out as I was on the fence about them for so long and always wondered what the big deal was with them lol

With that said I had a great workout with my kbell today :D

Hi girls! Hope everyone had a good weekend, it was beautiful again here, so I got to mow the grass! I heard rain is coming again, more mowing, then raking! Good for the upper body tho! Vilma, glad to hear everyone is healthy, our little one is coming with a cold, I 'm staying away from him! Kathryn, good for you with camping, I am more of a hotel and room service kind of girl! I watched the clip for MIC, it looks brutal!! Ronne, I'm doing DM, tomorrow, always dread it! good job! Andrea, congrats on the body transformation, it's so nice when people notice, especially the husband! Lisa, hope all is well, I'm not asking, just so you know you are in all our thoughts. Kathryn, how is your Dad? Have a good day, busy with errands, and work stuff! Mary

Aah! Finished Low Max (aka Thigh burner). By the 5th blast I was ready to be done! I finished it all and feel so accomplished now!

Kathryn, I've endured a few camping vacations with my boys when they were younger. Now I demand all the luxuries (shower/toilet/real bed). Sounds like you had a good time and that is all that counts.

Ronne, the abs in double upper premix are REALLY killer! I wonder if I will ever get really strong on the lower abs...seems those are always the hardest for me. Obliques I could go all day long, and uppers I do well even if it does burn after a while.

Vilma, No real news here. Some days we are hopeful and others we are depressed about the situation. All days we are stressed. I have higher BP now and pain in my neck and DH has intestinal issues. I'm so ready for some resolution to the situation. Seems we've been through the wringer lately with my FIL and now this lay off. Even starting my new job was stressful even if I do like it a lot. I'm ready for some boring days!

Andrea, what a guy! woo hoo.....it's oh so nice when they notice!

Gotta run, my DS from college is coming to visit today and stay the night since it's his fall break.

Take care all.....

Hi girls,

I did the total body premix from KCM's 30 min to Fitness dvd. I then did combo 1 and 2 from ASC3 for about 20 minutes. I think I'm ready to move on to combo 3 now.

Maybe. Sometimes I wonder why I even try.
phew.gif
It's fun for now though. Not sure what's on for tomorrow, I'm thinking KP&C.

LM is a thigh burner, isn't it Lisa? I should do that one. :p I did it so much at one time that I kind of burned out on it. Maybe I'll try it one day this week. ;) Hang in there girl. I know it's hard right now.

Mary, I wish we did have to mow grass. It's just been so dry here that we haven't had that need. :) They're talking a little rain later in the week here, too. I sure hope so 'cause we need it.

Kathryn, I'm working through some of my w/os too. I need to get rid of some that I never or rarely use. Bicep curls with a 40-lb barbell!

Woo Hoo, Andrea! That's wonderful that your DH noticed.

Big waves to Ronne, Vilma and anyone else I missed. :D

I guess I'm make clean eating my goal again this week. I didn't make it the whole week last week. ;) I had company for lunch on Saturday and DH brought me ice cream on another night.

A quick post before dinner ...

Rain? Mary, I'm sooooo jealous! Send some my way -- we're in the midst of a 3-year drought (and counting). I'm a gardener (flowers, not food), and I hate it.

Rhondalyn, thanks for the high-fives -- I love your emoticons! As I said, my form suffered, but I just had to lift heavier than DH. I was angry with him, but that's another story. Wanted to show him up a bit. Ha, ha! :D

Lisa, I always swore I'd never go camping. And let me tell you, going dirty was better than bathing in that so-called shower (ugh!). It was a sacrifice, that's for sure!

Vilma, you were a Girl Scout leader? Good for you! I really admire the dedication of the Scout leaders in my son's troop (or pack?). They give up so much time and have such enthusiasm for it. (And they sleep outside a lot!)

As for my dad, I haven't heard anything yet. He needed a bone marrow test and a few others to see what exactly was going on. I'm waiting to hear from my sis (she lives in CT, near my parents). No matter what, it won't be pleasant. :( Thank you all for asking, though. I'm kind of dreading the news. Just too much bad news all of a sudden this past week.

But the show must go on, and so must dinner (if I can get motivated). Trying to teach the kids to eat healthy, so I have to produced a balanced-looking meal!

LowMax on Tuesday morning and then I get to sleep in :D until 6:30 on Wednesday! Hooray -- what bliss!

HI girls.

Camping? In the bush? With things and creepys? And no toilet, no running fresh hot water, shower, bath, comfy bed, electricity?:confused:

I've been working all "unsocialble" hours lately and I'm very tired and so I havn't workout since Sunday. Day off tomorrow, so should get one in.

We are having a drought here too. I love my garden, too and luckily we have dam water for the garden, so its neglected (through lack of time) but its alive. I went and weeded it like a mad woman the other week, now I've got to get the manure into the beds, to get it all ready for summer. I didn't even get around to prunning my roses this year! Isn't that terrible?! I go out and talk to them.

However, neglect must be a good thing for the garden because I've got a LiLac bush that has never, ever flowered and this year I've got flowers and perfume!!

Sorry I'm rambling about gardening, I'll leave you to it. Bye.

Hi everyone,

I had a good workout weekend and a good eating weekend. I hope to continue with the good eating. It makes such a difference for me. Anyway, yesterday was a rest day and today is a Tracie Long day. Tomorrow and Wednesday is Amy Bento, APX.

Hi everybody, Hope all is well with all. Today was the dreaded DM! Thank goodness that will be done for awhile! Busy day with work, errands, tutors, family dinner and house work! More of the same tomorrow, somedays seem so tedious and redundant. Murphy, good for you with the clean eating, I need to get on that boat! Andrea, I wish that I liked to garden, just don't like to get my hands dirty. Hey Kathryn, hope all is well, thinking of your Dad. It must be hard to be so far away. Hi to Rhondaly, LIsa, Vilma and Ronne. Have a good night all. Mary

Hello everyone

Well, I'm managing some good workouts this week. So far I've done DM, KPC and LIC! I'm doing a version of Cathe's Sept 07 rotation with some subs. It's nice to do circuits for a change as I've been doing mainly weights recently.

Murph - do you like APX? It's one I don't have.

Rhondalyn - well done you for working on the step segments. I never have the patience to go through combos. I've got ASC3 on my Christmas list.

Lisa - crossing my fingers for lots of boring days for you!

Kathryn - the camping trip sounded fun. Not much of a camper myself. DH and DD go off a couple of times a year and I get the house to myself!

Hi to Mary, Andrea and anyone else I missed.

HI everyone,

I ended up getting up around 3:30 for my work out. My oldest (3 3/4) could not sleep which meant I could not sleep so I stopped trying and just got up to exercise. She must have sensed how annoyed I was b/c she did not try to follow or bother me. When I was done she was sound asleep. Funny, I did the work out but she got the rest.

Ronne - I do like APX. I like it better than Slo-Mo which is a little to slo-mo for me.

Hi everyone. I did GS BSB today and took the dog for a walk, upon my return my gyn had called saying they could take me a day early for my annual exam. So I said sure, that way I won't have anytime to dread it all day long. She was very impressed with my weight loss (her record had that I lost 47 lbs), she was upset to hear what is going on with us and was happy with my BP even though it was high with all the stress we are going thru. She said I'll always have a bit of a lower ab pooch because I have a bit of separation of the ab muscles right around the belly button. There could be worse things, right? I did get me a RX for Ambien for those sleepless nights of worrying. DH made an appt with the primary care dr, he is really stressing out. I hope we both find relief soon, preferrably one that has employment in it!

Ronne, It's always good to change up the exercise routine! I'm really enjoying the upper body bliss rotation of Cathe's. I figured I got the body fat low enough that maybe I can get the muscles to pop. Also, the boring days can not get here fast enough!

Murphy, good on you for the exercise and clean eating! It's all soooooo worth it in the end!

Mary, I'll take your tedious and redundant life! Enjoy while you can because that curve ball will be here when you least expect it (right now I'm taking the curves for you all. :p ). If I don't make jokes about this situation, I'll cry....bear with me!

Andrea, I'd love to be able to grow some of our own food. I just don't have a green thumb! Besides the dog would trample them down in the back yard. Do what you enjoy!

Katherine, hang in there we will all get thru each of our tough times together, right?

Rhondalyn, Sounds like you are enjoying learning those complex Bento steps!

Hearty hellos to Vilma and to anyone else I may have missed.

Hi all. Hope all is well with everyone. Today will be S&H Bi's and tri's. Kind of putting it off. Lisa, nice to get the annual out of the way without the dreaded anticipation. Hope that you get some sleep. It makes all the difference. I don't mind boring, Sometimes the routine of the day, (which I do crave, routine) it gets me, I think I am just anticipating our vacation in Dec. My DH and I have never been alone since we had kids, We will have 5 days, I don't want to wish time away, however I am waiting patiently for Dec!! Wow Murphy, talk about an early morning w/o! Ronne, I was thinking of hitting the circuits starting next week, good idea. Hello to Vilma, Andrea and Rhondalyn and Kathryn.. I have been procrastinating long enough. Mary

There's a job offer on the table !!!!!!!

We are going to think it over for a week or so. The reason being is that it isn't in the company (so DH would still be laid off with severance) and then it is a contract position. For some reason being a contractor to a company is what worries me for some reason although I dont' know why (it isn't like you have any job security anymore even if you are with a big company, right?). The pay is only 10% less, but then with the lesser amt that would be matched in a 401K it might be another 5% -10% or so. It's a job he would like with people he knows and likes and we can absorb the loss in salary. We are trying to find out all the details of contracting (we do NOT have any experience with other employers since we both worked for 24-30 yrs with the same company!).

So, we have some pondering to do, see if anything else crops up (doubt it), but at least there is something. I still won't sleep well thinking about it all....thank goodness I got those sleeping pills!

Lisa - that's fantastic news. I'm sure you'll come to the decision that's right for all of you.

Wel, I'm out of action again today. Hurt my left arm somehow yesterday (I think I just did too much shoulder work). I'm not even doing cardio as it hurts to lift my arm up! Just got to be sensible ... tho' it's frustrating!

Hope all are having good days!

Lisa, great news!

Lisa, I'm so happy to hear that there is an offer for your DH. I work with a lot of contractor (1099 employees, as we refer to them). I'll send you a PM so I don't take up a lot of space here on the subject.

Did Bootcamp this morning and I have to say that I like it because no matter how hard the exercise may be (those squat-thrust-climbers, for example), I know it's only for a minute! And the whole workout is less than an hour, so at least it's not extended suffering, like DrillMax is.

I will call today to find out more about my father. He had a bone marrow biopsy (which he said was awful), and I think he's finished with all of his tests. I'm kind of afraid to call and ask about it, but will put on my big-girl panties and face it. Thanks to everybody for your kind wishes.

Well, off to the salt mine (as we call it) to do some work. Bye, all!
